A Study on Development of the 3D Modeling System for Earthwork Environment (토공 작업환경의 3차원 모델링 시스템 개발에 관한 연구)

  • There have been many efforts in automatic object recognition using computing technologies. Especially in the development of automated construction equipment, automatic object recognition is very important issue for the proper equipment maneuvering. 3D laser scanning, which uses (time-of-flight) method to construct the 3-dimensional information, is applied to the civil earth work environment for its high accuracy, quick data collection, and object recognition capability that will be developed by the authors in the future. The 3D earth model is also used as a fundamental information for intelligent earth work task planning. This paper presents the analysis of the 3D laser scanner market and selection of the most optimum 3D scanner for the intelligent earth work planning. As well as the hardware configuration for the automated 3D earth modeling is developed but also the software structure and detailed user interface are designed in this research. In addition, it is presented in this paper that the accuracy comparison test between TotalStation(R) which is a traditional survey tool and ScanStation(R). The accuracy test is done by relative distance measurement using known targets.

Characteristics of Measurement Errors due to Reflective Sheet Targets - Surveying for Sejong VLBI IVP Estimation (반사 타겟의 관측 오차 특성 분석 - 세종 VLBI IVP 결합 측량)

  • Determination of VLBI IVP (Very Long Baseline Interferometry Invariant Point) position with high accuracy is required to compute local tie vectors between the space geodetic techniques. In general, reflective targets are attached on VLBI antenna and slant distances, horizontal and vertical angles are measured from the pillars. Then, adjustment computation is performed by using the mathematical model which connects measurements and unknown parameters. This indicates that the accuracy of the estimated solutions is affected by the accuracy of the measurements. One of issues in local tie surveying, however, is that the reflective targets are not in favorable condition, that is, the reflective sheet target cannot be perfectly aligned to the instrument perpendicularly. Deviation from the line of sight of an instrument may cause different type of measurement errors. This inherent limitation may lead to incorrect stochastic modeling for the measurements in adjustment computation procedures. In this study, error characteristics by measurement types and pillars are analyzed, respectively. The analysis on the studentized residuals is performed after adjustment computation. The normality of the residuals is tested and then equal variance test between the measurement types are performed. The results show that there are differences in variance according to the measurement types. Differences in variance between distances and angle measurements are observed when F-test is performed for the measurements from each pillar. Therefore, more detailed stochastic modeling is required for optimal solutions, especially in local tie survey.

  • This paper presents a methodology that accelerates estimating the system-level power consumption for on-chip bus of SoC platforms. The proposed power modeling can estimate the power consumption according to the change of a target SoC system. The proposed model comprises two parts: the one is power estimation of bus logics reflecting the architecture of the bus such as the number of bus layers, the other is to estimate the power consumed by the bus lines during data transmission. We designed the target multimedia SoC system, MPEG encoder as an example and evaluated power consumption using this model. The simulation result shows that the accuracy of the proposed model is over 92%. Thus, the proposed power model can be used to design of a high-performance/low-power multimedia SoC.

  • ETL(Extraction, Transformation, Loading)작업은 데이터웨어하우스 시스템 구축 및 유지관리 뿐만 아니라 차세대 정보시스템 구축의 핵심 프로세스에 해당한다. 특히 차세대 정보시스템 구축에 있어서 ETL 작업의 성능은 시스템오픈의 성패를 좌우하는 중요한 요소이다. 일반적으로 차세대시스템 구축의 데이터 전환을 위해 수행되는 ETL작업은 대용량데이터에 대한 다양한 형태의 데이터변형 과정을 수반하며 반드시 정해진 시간안에 완료되어야 한다. 또한, 수 많은 원천 집합을 추출하여 타겟시스템의 형태에 맞게 변형 및 적재하는 작업은 한정된 컴퓨팅 자원내에서 수행되어야 한다. 따라서 자원성능을 고려한 ETL작업 스케줄 최적화는 데이터전환 작업에 있어 필수적인 고려사항이 된다. 이 연구에서는 가용한 물리자원을 최대한 활용하여 ETL 프로세스의 처리능(throughput)을 최대화 하는데 초점을 맞추어, ETL프로세스를 페트리넷을 이용해 모델링하는 기법을 제시한다. 이 모델에는 ETL 프로세스가 수행될 서버의 컴퓨팅자원이 토큰화(tokenize)되어 포함된다. 이 모델을 기반으로 가용자원을 최대한 활용하면서도 자원병목이 발생하지 않는 수준으로 ETL 작업이 수행될 수 있도록 프로세스를 제어할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

평판형 직사각 유도결합 플라즈마 표면 처리 시스템의 수치 모델링

  • 대면적 사각형 기판의 플라즈마 표면처리를 위한 유도 결합 플라즈마 발생 시스템의 수치 계산을 유체 모델을 이용하여 진행하였다. 연산 자원이 많이 요구되는 3차원 모델임을 감안하여 준중성 조건을 이용한 간략화 알고리즘을 사용하였다. Poisson 방정식을 풀지 않고 준중성 조건에 의한 양극성 전기장을 계산하여 이용한다. 쉬스는 모델을 이용하여 처리하였다. 1차적으로 사각 spiral 형태의 안테나를 가정하여 LCD 3세대 급의 기판을 대상으로 작성하였다. 다중 분할을 하지 않고 4개의 가지를 갖는 single spiral을 적용하였고 1.125 turn의 low impedance 구조에 대해서 계산하였다. Ar을 이용한 sputter etching 공정을 타겟으로 하여 기판에서의 Ar 이온 밀도 분포의 균일도가 어떤 설계 변수에 의해서 영향을 받는지를 중점적으로 계산하였다.

Virtual Platform based on OpenRISC (OpenRISC 기반의 버츄얼 플랫폼)

  • A virtual platform models a processor core and the peripheral devices constituting the SoC in software. Major companies utilize a variety of platforms for product development with optimal SW+SoC integrated system architecture design and IP reuse based Top-Down design flow using a virtual platform. In this paper, we propose a virtual platform based on OpenRISC, an open source RISC based core. The proposed virtual platform supports high speed emulation of approximately 20 MIPS using DBT (Dynamic Binary Translation).

  • A computationally efficient and accurate Monte Carlo (MC) simulator of electron beam lithography process has been developed for sub-0.l${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ T-shaped gate formation in the HEMT devices for millimeter-wave frequencies. For the exposure process by electron to we newly and efficiently modeled the inner-shell electron scattering and its discrete energy loss with an incident electron for multi-layer resists and heterogeneous multi-layer targets in the MC simulation. In order to form the T-gate shape in resist layers, we usually use the different developer for each resist layer to obtain good reproducibility in the fabrication of HEMT devices. To model accurately the real fabrication process of electron beam lithography, we have applied the different developers in trilayer resist system By using this model we have simulated and analyzed 0.l${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ T-gate fabrication process in the HEMT devices, and showed our simulation results with the SEM observations of the T-shaped gate process.

Feature based Pre-processing Method to compensate color mismatching for Multi-view Video (다시점 비디오의 색상 성분 보정을 위한 특징점 기반의 전처리 방법)

  • In this paper we propose a new pre-processing algorithm applied to multi-view video coding using color compensation algorithm based on image features. Multi-view images have a difference between neighboring frames according to illumination and different camera characteristics. To compensate this color difference, first we model the characteristics of cameras based on frame's feature from each camera and then correct the color difference. To extract corresponding features from each frame, we use Harris corner detection algorithm and characteristic coefficients used in the model is estimated by using Gauss-Newton algorithm. In this algorithm, we compensate RGB components of target images, separately from the reference image. The experimental results with many test images show that the proposed algorithm peformed better than the histogram based algorithm as much as 14 % of bit reduction and 0.5 dB ~ 0.8dB of PSNR enhancement.

  • A relation between generated test cases and an original requirement is important, but it becomes very complex because a relation between requirement models and requirements are m-to-n in automatic test case generation based on models. In this paper, I suggest automatic generation technique for REED (REquirement EDitor), 1-to-1 requirement modeling tool. Test cases are generated though 3 steps, Coverage Target Generation, IORT (Input Output Relation Tree)Generation, and Test Cases Generation. All these steps are running automatically. The generated test cases can be generated from a single requirement. As a result of applying to three real commercial systems, there are 5566 test cases for the Temperature Controller, 3757 test cases for Bus Card Terminal, and 4611 test cases for Excavator Controller.

  • 모바일 맹핑시스템에 장착되어 있는 카메라와 INS의 물리적 관계 (두 좌표축 간의 거리(lever-arm) 와 각도(boresight) 캘리브레이션은 카메라 영상의 지리적 정보를 생성하기 위해 필요로 한다. 이 목적을 위해 기존연구는 카메라 캘리브레이션을 통하여 이 물리적 관계를 추정하고 있다. 카메라 캘리브레이션은 3차원 좌표가 할당된 타겟을 이용하여 움직이는 카메라의 렌즈 왜곡과 내/외부 표정 계산하는 것이다. 이 추정에서, 저가의 INS의 초기상태인 자세, 각도는 사용자의 측량에 의해 결정이 된다. 만약 정교한 측량이 없을 경우, 카메라 영상의 지리적 정보는 잘못된 정보를 제공 할 것이다. 정교한 측량의 어려움을 피하기 위해, 본 논문은 카메라와 초기상태 정보가 없는 INS간의 물리적 관계를 위한 수학적 모델을 설계하였다. 시스템에 장착된 카메라와 INS의 초기 기준 좌표계의 관계는 lever-arm과 boresight을 이용한 좌표축 변환으로 정의 될 수 있으며, 이 시스템이 이동 후, 카메라 초기 기준 좌표계에서 INS의 위치는 두 개의 벡터 경로로 정의 될 수 있다. 이 두 벡터 경로는 카메라와 INS의 상대 외부표정의 관계를 이용하여 계산된 벡터들의 조합으로 정의된다. 본 논문은 여러 쌍의 경로로부터 lever-arm과 boresight을 추정하였다.
