• Social problems, such as economic instability, aging population, heightened competition, and changes in personal values, might become more serious in the near future. Affective computing has received much attention in the scholarly community as a possible solution to potential social problems. Accordingly, we examined domestic and global knowledge structure, major keywords, current research status, international research collaboration, and network for each major keyword, focusing on keywords related to affective computing. We searched for articles on a specialized academic database (Scopus) using major keywords and carried out bibliometric and network analyses. We found that China and the United States (U.S.) have been active in producing knowledge on affective computing, whereas South Korea lags well behind at around 10%. Major keywords surrounding affective computing include computing, processing, affective analysis, research, user modeling categorizing recognitions, and psychological analysis. In terms of international research collaboration structure, China and the U.S. form the largest cluster, whereas other countries like the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and Canada have been strong collaborators as well. Contrastingly, South Korea's research has not been diverse and has not been very successful in producing research outcomes. For the advancement of affective computing research in South Korea, the present study suggests strengthening international collaboration with major countries, including the U.S. and China and diversifying its research partners.

  • As social networking services such as twitter become increasingly popular, data streams are widely prevalent these days. In order to search data accumulated from data streams efficiently, the use of an index structure is essential. In this paper, we propose an update-efficient, disk-based inverted index structure for efficient keyword search on data streams. When new data arrive at the data stream, the index needs to be updated to incorporate the new data. The traditional inverted index is very inefficient to update in terms of disk I/O, because all index data stored in the disk need to be read and written to the disk each time the index is updated. To solve this problem, we divide the whole inverted index into a sequence of inverted indices with exponentially increasing size. When new data arrives, it is first inserted into the smallest index and, later, the small indices are merged with the larger indices, which leads to a small amortize update cost for each new data. Furthermore, when indices stored in the disk are merged with each other, we minimize the disk I/O cost incurred for the merge operation, resulting in an even smaller update cost. Through various experiments, we compare the update efficiency of the proposed index structure with the previous one, and show the performance advantage of the proposed structure in terms of the update cost.

  • Recently international organizations such as ISO/TC211, OGC, INSPIRE (Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe) make an effort to share geospatial data using semantic web technologies. In addition, smart phone and social networking services enable community-based opportunities for participants to share issues of a social phenomenon based on geographic area, and many researchers try to find a method of extracting issues from that. However, serviceable spatial ontologies are still insufficient at application level, and studies of spatial information extraction from SNS were focused on user's location finding or geocoding by text mining. Therefore, a study of extracting spatial phenomenon from social media information and converting it into geosemantic knowledge is very usable. In this paper, we propose a framework for extracting keywords from micro-blog, one of the social media services, finding their relationships using data mining technique, and converting it into spatiotemopral knowledge. The result of this study could be used for implementing a related system as a procedure and ontology model for constructing geoseem antic issue. And from this, it is expected to improve the effectiveness of finding, publishing and analysing spatial issues.

  • Recently the concept of Library 3.0 and its substance have been discussed by scholars and specialists along with Web 3.0. This study aims to analyze the debates on Library 3.0 and review the concept of Library 3.0. In addition, this study proposes library 3.0 service model based on its analysis. The keywords of in the proposed Library 3.0 model in this study is the Social Semantic Digital Library(SSDL), the Linked Library, and the Mobile Library. First, the SSDL means a real knowledge sharing and cooperation by applying both semantic web technology that which can manage data by machines and social networking services into e-libraries. Second, the Linked Library indicates that library resources become linked data that link libraries in all over the world. Finally, the Mobile Library refers to ubiquitous library equipped with RFID and mobile technology.

  • NLP means the technology that mechanically analyzes a language spoken by a human and makes it into a form that can be understood by a computer. This is important because it is a core technology for communication between humans and devices, which is the basis of artificial intelligence. In this paper, I analyzed patent information of US and Korea in order to identify technical trends related to NLP, especially semantic analysis. and the purpose of this study is to provide meaningful information for future research on NLP. In conclusion, the number of Korea patents is 7.9% compared to the USA and the different frequencies of the major keywords were found to differ from country to country in technical direction. In addition, the upward or downward keywords are twice as many in the U.S. as in Korea, and reflect the trend of the times relatively more. Based on these results, in future study, I will analysis how upward trending keywords are described in actual patents for concrete technology prediction.

  • The culture and education are very active with the active policy and support to form the government's Maker Movement. The purpose of this study is to grasp the current status of the education sector of the domestic maker movement, which is increasing recently, and to propose a plan for activating maker education for the development of a positive direction. To this end, first, the current status and problems of domestic maker training are derived through in-depth interviews with existing maker training operators and participants. Second, based on the contents of the interview script, keyword analysis and its characteristics through the qualitative survey analysis program (NVIVO) are identified. Third, based on the analysis results, we propose a plan and development direction for domestic maker education. Based on the educators who performed maker training and the students involved, professional maker teachers were required for the professionalism of education, and the expansion of maker channels and professional networking of participating students was required. In addition, there was a need for specialized programs and appropriate policy support that reflected the characteristics of maker training. This study aims at contributing to the activation of maker education, which is a major field of maker movement, by helping to improve concrete support methods, training related educators, and educational environment for maker education.
