The Effect of Climbing Exercise Program on Self-efficacy for the College Students (클라이밍 운동프로그램이 대학생의 자기효능감에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of climbing exercise program on the spinal alignment and balance ability of students in 20's. The subjects of this study were 30 university students. Experimental group was performed climbing program combined with upper and lower extremity pattern for three times per week, during six weeks. A Self-efficacy questionnaire was used assess the self-confidence, individdual confidence, or belifes in specific tasks. The results of comparison of variations in each group showed that there was a significant difference in the training group(p<0.05). Climbing exercise program combined with upper and lower extremity pattern is effective for improvement of the self-efficay. So, these study results will be useful as reference date for improvement of the self-efficay.

  • This study tried to provide the way of development in sport-climbing base on the history and present of Korean sport climbing. In terms of the policy, single sport climbing association needs to be formed and separated from Korean Alpine Federation. School teams and athletes are required to expand, college teams in particular. These athletes could be sport instructors and professional athletes vitalizing competition and sport climbing after graduation. Public sport climbing facilities need to be counted accurately. Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism needs to administrate the public sport blimbing facilities by counting and checking the facilities with the responsibility.

  • 도시민들의 다양한 여가활동의 요구로 날씨와 계절에 상관없이 즐길 수 있는 운동으로 실내 스포츠 수요가 급증 하고 있다. 이에 스포츠 클라이밍의 인기 또한 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 또한, ICT기술의 발전으로 스포츠 산업에서도 ICT융합이 활발히 진행 중이다. 이에 실내 스포츠 클라이밍은 ICT기술 융합이 용이한 환경으로 컴퓨팅 환경을 구성하기 적합하다. 따라서 ICT융합 스포츠 클라이밍에 대한 새로운 신조어 스크린 클라이밍이라는 말이 나오고 이에 대한 인터랙티브 인공 암벽이라는 연구가 진행 되었다. 하지만 스포츠 클라이밍에서 사용되는 모바일 애플리케이션의 연구는 현저히 부족한 상황이다. 현재 상용화되어 있는 클라이밍 애플리케이션은 일방적인 정보제공에 그쳐 정보의 확장 및 재생산이 어렵고, 자신의 기록 측정 및 정리 과정이 번거롭다는 한계가 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 인터랙티브 인공 암벽 활용을 위한 모바일 애플리케이션을 제안하고 구현한다. 즉, 사용자가 실제로 쉽고 편리하게 등반 루트와 등반 기술에 대한 정보를 제공받고 자신의 등반 기록을 관리할 수 있는 사용자 친화적 클라이밍 모바일 애플리케이션을 구현한다.

A Verification of the Effectiveness of Spatial Augmented Reality-based CCA for the Improvement of Traditional Sports Climbing Lessons (전통적인 스포츠 클라이밍 수업 개선을 위한 공간증강현실 기반 CCA 적용 효과 검증)

  • Sports climbing requires repeated movements within a limited space, which may cause climbers to lose their constant interest in it. Furthermore, it is important that coaches should give lessons focusing on demonstrations to make sure that learners can understand the movements on their own, However, in traditional sports climbing lessons, they give instructions on almost every movement of learners' hands and feet. Hence, there have been constant calls for replacing these existing sports climbing lessons and presenting new methods to ensure that learners can observe their coaches' demonstrations in real time and emulate them. An introduction of the image training using spatial augmented reality techniques to solve these problems may have a positive effect on the improvement of learners' motor skills and attitudes toward lessons. This study aims to verify the effectiveness of the Climbing Character Animation (CCA) as a learning tool for sports climbing. To achieve this research objective, it applied it to actual sports climbing to verify its utility. As a result, it was shown that the lessons using spatial augmented reality-based CCA had a higher effectiveness than traditional sports climbing lessons in the degree of interest inducement, emersion and learning effects.

Synchronous Motion Control of Multi-Climbing Hydraulic Robots for High-Rise Building Construction Automation (고층건물 시공자동화를 위한 다중 클라이밍 유압로봇의 운동 동기제어)

  • Multi-climbing hydraulic robots are used to lift construction factory (CF) synchronously for applications in the automation of a high-rise building construction. In this study, synchronous motion controller is proposed for the hydraulic robots, whose strategy is not only to make each robot follow the reference path basically by sliding-mode control, but also to synchronize motions of two adjacent cent robots consecutively by cross-coupled control technique. Simulations are performed by using SIMULINK for a system similar to a practical application that includes unbalance in CF and wind disturbance. The results show that the proposed controller significantly reduces synchronous errors, compared to the individual controller for each hydraulic robot.

The Effects of Different Surface Level on Muscle activity of the Upper Body and Exercise Intensity during Mountain Climbing Exercise (지면에서의 마운틴 클라이밍 운동 시 상체의 위치 변화가 운동 강도와 근활성도에 미치는 영향)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate relations and effectiveness about mountain climbling exercise with different level of support surfaces by analyzing heart rate and EMG data. A total of 10 male college students with no musculoskeltal disorder were recruited for this study. Method: The biomechanical analysis was performed using heart rate monitor (Polar V800, Polar Electro Oy, Finland), step-box, exercise mat, and EMG device (QEMG8, Laxtha Inc. Korea, sampling frequency = 1,024 Hz, gain = 1,000, input impedance > 1012 Ω, CMRR > 100 dB). In this research, step-box were used to create different surface levels on the upper body (flat surface, 10% of subject's height, 20% of subject's height, and 30% of subject's hight). Based on these different conditions, data was collected by performing mountain climbing exercise during 30 seconds. Subjects were given 5 minutes of break to prevent muscular fatigue after each exercise. For each dependent variable, a one-way analysis of variance with repeated measures was conducted to find significant differences and Bonferroni post-hoc test was performed. Results: The results of this study showed that exercise intensity was reduced statistically as increased surface level on the upper body. Muscle activity of the upper rectus abdominis and biceps femoris for 30% of surface level was significantly higher than the corresponding values for flat surface. However, the opposite was found in the rectus femoris. In general, muscle activity of the lower rectus abdominis, erector spinae, external oblique abdominis, and gluteus maximus increased when surface level increased, but the differences were not significant. Conclusion: As a result, the increase in surface level of the body would change muscle activity of the upper body, indicating that different surface level of the upper body may cause significant effect on particular muscles to be more active during mountain climbing exercise. Based on results of this study, it is suggested to set up an appropriate surface level to target particular muscle to expect an effective training. It is also important to set adequate surface levels to create an effective training condition for preventing exercise injuries.
