A Study on Cloud Database Management System Protection Profile for the Secure Cloud Environment (안전한 클라우드 환경을 위한 클라우드 데이터 관리 시스템에 적용 가능한 보호프로파일에 관한 연구)

  • As cloud computing has enabled, a variety of cloud services has come into wide use. Thus, cloud computing products can be easily identified in the IT market. Common Criteria is international standards for security evaluation performed of IT products. In addition, Consumers can be used as a objective guideline for the evaluation results. And, it is a provides for protection profile(security target of security products). For general, IT products are providing the protection profile. However, for cloud-related products of protection profile is not being provided. Thus, about cloud security products, there is no way for evaluation. Therefore, in this paper, we propose protection profile on cloud database management system for the secure cloud environment in common criteria.

  • With the introduction of the Cloud Computing, the IT Support organization is facing a new organizational challenge. Especially, the PaaS(Platform as a Service) cloud provisions all of the servers, the network, the storage, the OS, and the middleware installation & configurations without the IT subject experts. This change requires the researches on the new role of the IT Support staff, the collaboration among the skill groups, the conflicts between the IT Support and the Line of Business. But there is no study on this perspective. Hence this paper will study the negative forces against the adoption of the PaaS and the associated organizational changes. This finding can help the IT organization define the new organization structure and the skill set to easy the conflicts, and prepare the transformation for the PaaS adoption.

  • The cloud computing environment is a new trend of web based application parts. It can be IT business model that is able to easily support learning service and allocate resources through the internet to users. U-learning also is a maximal model with efficiency of the internet based learning. Thus, in this research, we proposed a design of u-learning's teaching and learning model that is applying the internet based learning. Proposal method is to fit u-learning and has 7 steps: Preparing, planning, gathering, learning process, analysis and evaluation, and feedback. We make a cloud u-learning server and cloud LMS to process and manage the service. And We also make a mobile devices meta data to aware the model.

  • The cloud environment need resource management method that to enable the big data issue and data analysis technology. Existing resource management uses the limited calculation method, therefore concentrated the resource bias problem. To solve this problem, the resource management requires the learning-based scheduling using resource history information. In this paper, we proposes the ART (Adaptive Resonance Theory)-based adaptive resource management. Our proposed method assigns the job to the suitable method with the resource monitoring and history management in cloud computing environment. The proposed method utilizes the unsupervised learning method. Our goal is to improve the data processing and service stability with the adaptive resource management. The propose method allow the systematic management, and utilize the available resource efficiently.

  • This research aimed an application method to connect traditional culture and information technology that is one of the digital convergence area. For this purpose, we proposed cloud digital archive framework for traditional culture. Actually, cloud computing environment is one of new technology trend and would be a important keyword for information technology. This research focus on functional framework that is able to support service in cloud computing environment to connect pansori archive model, one of traditional culture. We also make a data structure and metadata by each characteristics, and insert a service framework to support pansori archive. This structure consists of data evaluation, preservation, and access process. This archive has a relation model with digital archive and metadata.

  • A resource allocation algorithm has a high impact on user satisfaction as well as the ability to accommodate and process services in a distributed cloud computing. In other words, service rejections, which occur when datacenters have no enough resources, degrade the user satisfaction level. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a resource allocation algorithm considering the cloud domain's remaining resources to minimize the number of service rejections. The resource allocation rate based on Q-Learning increases when the remaining resources are sufficient to allocate the maximum allocation rate otherwise and avoids the service rejection. To demonstrate, We compare the proposed algorithm with two previous works and show that the proposed algorithm has the smaller number of the service rejections.

  • Quantum error correction is a key technology for achieving fault-tolerant quantum computation. Finding the best decoding solution to a single error syndrome pattern counteracting multiple errors is an NP-hard problem. Consequently, error decoding is one of the most expensive processes to protect the information in a logical qubit. Recent research on quantum error decoding has been focused on developing conventional and neural-network-based decoding algorithms to satisfy accuracy, speed, and scalability requirements. Although conventional decoding methods have notably improved accuracy in short codes, they face many challenges regarding speed and scalability in long codes. To overcome such problems, machine learning has been extensively applied to neural-network-based error decoding with meaningful results. Nevertheless, when using neural-network-based decoders alone, the learning cost grows exponentially with the code size. To prevent this problem, hierarchical error decoding has been devised by combining conventional and neural-network-based decoders. In addition, research on quantum error decoding is aimed at reducing the spacetime decoding cost and solving the backlog problem caused by decoding delays when using hardware-implemented decoders in cryogenic environments. We review the latest research trends in decoders for quantum error correction with high accuracy, neural-network-based quantum error decoders with high speed and scalability, and hardware-based quantum error decoders implemented in real qubit operating environments.

클라우드 데스크톱 가상화 기술 동향

  • 클라우드 데스크톱 가상화 (VDI)는 제2의 PC 혁명이라 불리우는 가상 데스크톱 인프라 시스템 기술이다. VDI는 컴퓨팅 자원에 한 곳에 모아 두어 언제 어디서든 인터넷을 통하여 개인의 PC 환경을 사용할 수 있는 서비스를 제공하기 위하여 등장하였다. 그러나 VDI는 기업 보안 강화, 전력 절감, TCO 절감 등을 목적으로 많은 기업들에 의해 성공적으로 도입되고 있다. 현재 VDI는 인터넷을 통하여 가상 데스크톱 서비스를 사용자의 PC 경험 수준으로 제공하기 위해 많은 연구와 개발이 진행되고 있다. 본고에서는 클라우드 데스크톱 가상화 기술에서의 중점적인 연구 이슈와 VDI 개발 동향을 살펴보고 현재 국내에서 진행되고 있는 관련 연구 내용을 살펴보도록 한다.

  • 하둡 프레임워크는 현재 오픈소스 기반의 클라우드 인프라의 사실상 표준이다. 최초 하둡은 보안요소를 고려하지 않고 설계 되었지만 현재는 강력한 인증프로토콜인 커버로스를 사용하는 등의 보안 기능이 추가되었다. 하둡 보안은 꽤 안전해 보이지만, 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 범용적인 사용의 가장 중요한 요소는 보안인 것을 감안해보면 클라우드 제공자는 기존보다 더욱 강력한 보안 레벨을 고객에게 보장하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 하둡 보안의 한계점을 제시하고 하드웨어 보안칩 TPM(Trusted Platform Module)을 이용한 해결방안을 제시한다.

  • 스마트 뱅킹을 사용하는 인구가 늘어나고 있으며 보안상의 위협이 대두되고 있다. 스마트 뱅킹의 경우 작은 보안상의 위험이 큰 금전적인 피해를 줄 수 있기 때문에 강력한 보안이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 2-Factor 인증과 클라우드에 저장된 인증서를 통해서 스마트 뱅킹 서비스를 안전하게 사용하는 방법을 제안하였다. 인증서 중복저장에 의한 문제점을 해결하고자 인증서를 클라우드 서비스를 통해 제공하고, 저장된 인증서의 제3자에 의한 접근을 막기 위해 2-Factor 인증 기법으로 사용자를 인증한다.
