  • Desktop is offered to each individual in Educational environments of school or academy, as the users are increasing, the more Desktop is required for each person. Huge Desktop accession resulted in many problems including difficulty of management, Software and Hardware cost rising, cramped places, power consumption increasing and etc. To solve those problems, we focus into uprising technology solution, such as Multi Computer, Desktop Virtualization, and DaaS(Desktop as a Service). In this paper, existing problems that can dramatically improve the private cloud computing for desktop virtualization with the requirements of the system were analyzed.

  • This study investigates computing offloading effect of cloud in real-time video personal broadcast service, whose server is mobile device. Mobile device does not have enough computing resource for encoding video. The computing burden is offloaded to cloud, which has abundant resources in terms of computing, power, and storage compared to mobile device. By reducing computing burden, computation energy can be saved while transmission data amount increases because of decreasing compression efficiency. This study shows that the optimal operation point can be found adaptively to time-varying LTE communication condition result of tradeoff analysis between offloaded computation burden and increase in amount of transmitted data.

  • Recently, rapid innovation of Smartphone is changing the paradigm of our daily life. Smartphone users, opinion experts more than 99 percent of the economically active population is using, it has reached the saturation past the early stages of formation. Smartphone is equipped with a general purpose OS possible the implementation of high performance environment similar level as a personal computer. Thus, it is a mobile communication terminal scalable which can be removed or installed various applications. Such extensibility, it is possible to use different applications through the Apps store. Also, it is also possible various services which are location based service. In this research, we aim to analyze factors influencing of cloud computing service on reusing intention of smartphone. In addition, we aim to analyze the causal relationship from perceived value to reusing intention. This study suggests practical and theoretical implications based on the results.

A Job Scheduling Scheme based on Analytic Hierarchy Process in Cloud Computing (클라우드 컴퓨팅에서 Analytic hierarchy process를 활용한 작업 스케줄링 기법)

  • As the resources of cloud computing are essentially heterogeneous and jobs have various characteristics, resource allocation to jobs is one of important problems. We define this issue as a multi-criteria decision-making problem. This paper proposes a priority-based job scheduling algorithm based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP). On the first step, jobs are classified based on their preferences. On the second step, response time, system utilization, and load becomes decision criteria based on the AHP algorithm. Jobs are allocated to adequate resources through their priorities that are calculated by the AHP algorithm. Through analysis and experiment of the proposed algorithm, we are to confirm that the scheme can schedule jobs as well as utilize its resource efficiently.

  • 가상화는 가상의 자원이 물리적 자원에 접근할 수 있게 해주는 기술이며 VM(가상머신)을 다수 설치하여 VM의 수만큼 운영체제들을 이용할 수 있다. 이러한 가상화는 자원의 낭비를 막고 관리비용을 줄이기 위해 사용한다. 가상화 기술은 CPU, 메모리, I/O 가상화로 구분 지을 수 있으며 이 중 메모리 가상화 기술은 메모리 자원의 효율적인 사용을 가능하게 해준다. 여러 VM들이 실제 머신의 메모리보다 많은 메모리를 할당받아 사용하는 것이 가능한데 이것을 오버커밋 상태라고 한다. 중첩 가상화는 VM에 하드웨어 가상화 기법의 사용을 허용하게 하여 VM 위에 또 다른 VM이 동작할 수 있는 환경을 제공해준다. 이와 같은 (중첩) 가상화 환경에서의 메모리 접근은 일반적으로 하드웨어 지원을 통한 중첩 페이징 기법을 이용하여 메모리의 접근이 이루어진다. 본 논문에서는 오버커밋 발생 시 중첩 VM과 하이퍼바이저 VM의 성능 차이를 실험을 통하여 보여주고자 한다.

  • 공인인증서의 사용은 꾸준히 증가하고 있으나 증가하는 사용량에 비례하여 하드디스크에 저장된 공인인증서 해킹으로 인한 피해 사례가 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라 정부는 하드디스크 내 공인인증서 저장을 금지하고 이동형 저장매체에 저장하도록 하는 방침을 내놓았다. 또한 모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 중앙의 스토리지에 데이터가 저장되기 때문에 공인인증서를 중앙 스토리지에 저장하는 것은 매우 위험한 일이다. 이러한 방침으로 인해 앞으로 USB 메모리 및 스마트폰과 같은 이동형 저장매체에 대한 중요성이 높아질 것이며, 분실 위험이 높은 USB 메모리 및 스마트폰의 특징에 따라 인증서가 저장된 저장매체 없이도 인증서를 사용할 수 있는 방안이 필요하게 될 것이다. 본 논문은 일회용 인증서에 대한 요구사항 분석 및 형식을 설계하고, PKI 인증서를 기반으로 경량화된 일회용 인증서를 발급받아 인증서를 사용할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 모바일 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서 일회용 인증서를 이용한 권한 관리 기술을 제안하여 안전성과 효율성을 제공하도록 하였다.

Design and Implementation of a Node Power Scheduler in Virtual Computing Lab Environment (가상 컴퓨팅 랩 환경에서 노드 전원관리 스케줄러 설계 및 구현)

  • The existing PC-based desktop environment is being changed to a server-based virtual desktop environment due to various advantages such as security, mobility, and upgrade cost reduction. In this paper, a virtual computing lab service system which is applicable to the existing computer lab is designed and implemented using both an open source-based cloud computing platform and hypervisor. In addition, a node power scheduler is proposed in order to reduce power consumption in a server farm. The experimental results show that the power scheduler reduces power consumption considerably over the server farm without the power scheduler.

Design of Personalized Exercise Data Collection System based on Edge Computing

  • In this paper, we propose an edge computing-based exercise data collection device that can be provided for exercise rehabilitation services. In the existing cloud computing method, when the number of users increases, the throughput of the data center increases, causing a lot of delay. In this paper, we design and implement a device that measures and estimates the position of keypoints of body joints for movement information collected by a 3D camera from the user's side using edge computing and transmits them to the server. This can build a seamless information collection environment without load on the cloud system. The results of this study can be utilized in a personalized rehabilitation exercise coaching system through IoT and edge computing technologies for various users who want exercise rehabilitation.

Service Image Placement Mechanism Based on the Logical Fog Network (논리적 포그 네트워크 기반의 서비스 이미지 배치 기법)

  • For the resolution of the latency problem of the cloud center-based cloud computing, fog computing was proposed that allows end devices to offload computations to nearby fog nodes. In the fog computing, virtualized service images are placed on fog nodes and, if service images are placed close to end devices, the duplicate service image placement problem may occur. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a service image placement mechanism based on the logical fog network that reduces duplicate service images by considering the pattern of collected service requests. For the performance evaluation of the proposed mechanism, through simulations, we compare ours with the on-demand mechanism placing a service image upon the receipt of a service request. We consider the performance factors like the number of service images, the number of non-accommodated service requests, and the network cost.
