클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스 현황 및 향후 전망

  • 최근 IT환경이 급격히 변화함에 따라 기업들이 관리해야 할 데이터량이 증가되어 IT자원에 대한 유지 보수 및 관리의 문제가 대두되고 있다. 전세계적인 경기불황의 여파로 인해 기업들은 IT비용에 대한 부담을 줄일 수 있는 방안을 모색하기 시작하였다. 이러한 상황에서 등장한 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스(Cloud Computing Service)는 국 내외의 기업 및 정부에게 새로운 돌파구가 될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 이에 클라우드 컴퓨팅 서비스 (Cloud Computing Service)의 현황 및 전망과 더불어 해결해야 할 과제를 제시하고자한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 OpenNebula 기반의 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경을 구축하고 클러스터 노드에 설치되는 하이퍼바이저로 Xen을 이용하여 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기반 컴퓨터 교육 시스템을 구축하였다. 전체 시스템은 Front-End 1대와 클러스터 노드 2대로 구성되며, 시스템 사용자는 원격 접속을 이용하여 가상 머신에 접근이 가능하다. 관리자는 Web를 통해 클러스터 노드와 가상 머신을 관리할 수 있으며, 컴퓨터 실습수업의 형태에 따라 각기 다른 OS와 응용 소프트웨어가 설치된 가상머신을 생성하여 사용자들에게 제공할 수 있다.

  • Cloud Computing Service should support efficiency and stability. United States of America, for example, provides FedRAMP (Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program) accreditation to certify cloud computing service and hence growth of computing service industry is giving benefits of cost reduction and efficiency to companies. However, the use of computing service brings more risk than ever. Because cloud computing holds all the data of multiple companies, problems such as hacking bring out control loss of service and as a result total data of companies can be lost. Unfortunately, cloud computing certification programs do not have any good solutions for this data loss and companies may lose all the important data without any proper data backup. This paper studies such problems in terms of backup problem and provides Data Availability Zone solution for recovery and safe saving of data so that computing service can offer better efficiency and stability.

  • As the increasing use of the cloud computing, virtualization technology have been combined and applied a variety of requirements. Cloud computing has the advantage that the support computing resource by a flexible and scalable to users as they want and it utilized in a variety of distributed computing. To do this, it is especially important to ensure the stability of the cloud computing. In this paper, we analyzed a variety of component measurement using open-source tools for ensuring the performance of the system on the education system to build cloud testbed environment. And we extract the performance that may affect the virtualization environment from processor, memory, cache, network, etc on each of the host machine(Host Machine) and a virtual machine (Virtual Machine). Using this result, we can clearly grasp the state of the system and also it is possible to quickly diagnose the problem. Furthermore, the cloud computing can be guaranteed the SLA(Service Level Agreement).

  • IT ecosystem is changing with the spread of smart devices and thus, cloud computing fields have been issued to companies. Cloud computing reduces IT costs and aims for eco-friendly Green IT. It also supports all kinds of IT equipment so you can conduct business in real time when moving. With these advantages, many corporations are considering cloud computing but there are security issues when implementing cloud. In this paper, we analyze security problems of clouding service and present the appropriate guidelines. This will be utilized in the fields of cloud computing and service delivery.

  • Cloud computing is a new computing paradigm for sharing resources. Various applications used for cloud services are represented as workflows. These workflow applications must be appropriately allocated to resources or services in cloud. In this paper, a new scheduling algorithm is proposed for multiple workflow applications considering cloud computing environment. The cost-based rank scheduling algorithm considers not only multiple workflow applications, but various QoS metrics for evaluating services. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve the mean makespan and the availability significantly over two well-known algorithms.

  • A virtual machine lease service in the cloud computing environment has been implemented using the open source cloud computing platform, OpenNebula. In addition, a web-based cloud user interface is developed for both convenient resource management and efficient service access. The present virtual machine allocation scheme adopted in OpenNebula has performance reduction problem because of not considering CPU allocation scheduler of the virtualization software. In order to address this problem we have considered both the priority of the idle CPU resources of the cluster and credit scheduler of Xen, which resulted in performance improvement of the OpenNebula virtual machine scheduler. The experimental results showed that the proposed allocation scheme provided more virtual machine creations and more CPU resource allocations for cloud service.

  • In the fourth industrial revolution represented by hyper-connected and intelligence, cloud computing is drawing attention as a technology to realize big data and artificial intelligence technologies. The proliferation of cloud computing has also increased the number of threats. In this paper, we propose one way to effectively monitor to the resources assigned to clients by the IaaS service provider. The method we propose in this paper is to model the use of resources allocated to cloud systems using ARIMA algorithm, and it identifies abnormal situations through the use and trend analysis. Through experiments, we have verified that the client service provider can effectively monitor using the proposed method within the minimum amount of access to the client systems.

  • As the prevalence of cloud computing increases, various cloud service types have emerged, such as IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS. The growth and diversification of these cloud services has also resulted in the development of technology for cloud service brokers (CSBs), which serve as intermediate cloud services that can assist cloud tenants (users) in deploying services that fit their requirements. In order to broker cloud services, CSBs require the specification of structural models in order to facilitate the analysis and search for cloud services. In this study, we propose a variability-based service analysis model (SAM) that can be used to describe various cloud services. This model is based on the concept of variability in the software product line and represents the commonality and variability of cloud services by binding variants to each variation point that exists in the specification, quality, and pricing of the services. We also propose a virtual cloud bank architecture as a CSB that serves as an intermediate to provides tenants with appropriate cloud services based on the SAM.
