One of the major requisites for the success of the smart-TV is to create a circumstance where smart-TV app's are produced and purchased on a large scale. However, the smart TV app's may succeed only under the condition that the user interface of the smart TV is greatly evolved from the typical TV remote controller. Several equipments have been devised to tackle the problem of the poor user interface of the smart-TV; however, they are not satisfactory in the aspects that they usually increase the costs of TV-set and they do not help practically the app developers. The equipments are pre formed so that it is hard for the app developers to design their own user interface using them. In the paper, sMartUX, a method for developing the smart-TV app is introduced. sMartUX provides a new paradigm and development environment for designing, implementing, and operating the user interface of the smart TV app using a smart-phone. With sMartUX, app developers can design their own user interface using the various facilities of a smart-phone, and they need not to care the details of various smart-phones and how to launch their user interface onto a smart-phone.

This paper introduces an efficient and satisfactory search interface that enables users to browse and find the video data they want from a massively huge video database widely used in various multimedia environment. The target user group is information analysts at US defense industry or governmental intelligence agencies whose job is to identify a certain person from a lot of video footage taken from CCTV(Closed-circuit Television) cameras. For the first user test, we suggested the CAVE-like virtual reality interface to be the most optimal for the tasks we designed for, so we compared this interface with desktop interface. The softwares and database developed and optimized for each task were used in this user test. For the second user test, we researched on what input devices would be most optimal for enhancing efficiency of search task in the CAVE-like virtual reality system. Especially we focused our effort on measuring the effectiveness and user satisfaction of three different types of devices that embody gestural interface input system that encourages users' ergonomic control of the interface. We also measured the time consumed for performing each task to find out the most efficient input device among the ones tested.

At present, a variety of Korean news stories have been about important online content and its importance in the press is becoming higher. Diverse news from businesses are provided to the public as press releases through newspapers or broadcasting media. For such news to become information for a press release, enterprises visit reporters, use e-mails, faxes, or couriers to deliver the information. However, such methods have problems with time, human resources, expenses, and file damage. Also, with these methods it is bothersome for enterprises to check what has been released and for the press to make frequent contact with enterprises for interviews and for content to be released. Therefore, this study aimed to realize a distribution system which enterprises can use to distribute data to be released to the press and to easily check what is to be released while the press can ask for interview requests in a simple way, as well as a news gathering robot that can collects news on the enterprises involved from articles online or in portal sites.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of online psychiatric nursing practicum including virtual simulation on goal commitment, self-efficacy, critical thinking disposition, and problem solving ability of nursing students in the COVID-19 situation with difficult clinical practice. The subjects of this study were collected using an online questionnaire for third-year nursing students located in A city, and 31 students participated in the final. The results of this study showed that goal commitment and critical thinking disposition were improved in the post-test compared to the pre-test, but were not statistically significant. Self-efficacy (t=4.222, p<.001) and problem solving ability (t=6.807, p<.001) were signifincantly improved after than before online practicum. This findings indicate that online psychiatric nursing practicum including virtual simulation is effective in improving self-efficacy and problem solving ability. As it is difficult to perform nursing practice directly in the clinical field due to the recent COVID-19, it is expected that the limitations of online practicum can be overcome by utilizing various online contents including virtual simulations in online psychiatric nursing practicum.

This study examines the status of non-face-to-face online continuing education for radiological technologist working at medical institutions in a region, their satisfaction, and completion status, and provides basic data on the design and operation of continuing education predicted after the post-coronavirus. It was implemented to do. From January 5, 2021 to January 31, 2021, 255 radiological technologist license holders who completed online continuing education in 2020 were targeted. Satisfaction with online continuing education was higher as the age, male radiological technologist, and job title increased after obtaining a license. As for the status of completion of continuing education, the higher the age, the higher the percentage of regular members belonging to the branch, the more moderate the cost of continuing education of medical institutions was guaranteed, and the more the completion of the continuing education license and the recognition of legal restrictions. Based on the results of this study, in order to increase the satisfaction and completion of continuing education, it is necessary to develop various educational programs and contents according to age in preparation for the rapidly changing medical environment, and it is necessary to identify and provide members' needs.

This study investigated the perceptions of librarians about Podcast and YouTube services in libraries. The study was designed by applying the Extended Technology Acceptance Model. Librarian's personal, organizational, and social awareness of library Podcast or YouTube services and the degree of understanding of users and their needs on services were mediated by perceived usefulness or ease of services= and influenced to having intentions and providing the services. First, we investigated the types of Podcast and YouTueb services provided by 39 libraries in Korea. Also, we collected data using an online survey method from 181 librarians and conducted hierarchical multiple regression analysis. Findings showed that libraries are using Podcast and YouTube appropriately considering features and functions of media, mainly for library event information/promotion, library programs, book recommendations, and author (librarian) lectures or interviews. Organizational or social awareness of librarians, i.e., library educational support, human resource supports, librarian recognition, job-related features, and understanding of user perceptions and needs, influenced the intention to provide library services. Also, there was a difference in perceived usefulness and ease of services between librarians who provided Podcast and YouTube services and those who did not. We expect that findings could be used as references to understand and support various aspects of librarians in charge of developing and providing Podcast or YouTube services in libraries.

This study is aimed to analyze university students' learning experiences in K-MOOC by conducting a survey of university students' perception of K-MOOC, who are the major users of K-MOOC. Also it intended to use them to develop a specific strategy for continued use of K-MOOC. The study was conducted on 155 university students who attending university course and experienced K-MOOC's course within a year. The survey was conducted on online and provided with multiple questions about sustainability and satisfaction. Also survey provided with a subjective items about reason of satisfaction and dissatisfaction with the K-MOOC, and expectation about the future K-MOOC. The analysis found that the main motivation for university students was the convenience of online learning, which was the highest in questions asking why they were satisfied. For reasons of dissatisfaction, the decrease in academic volition and lack of interaction, and the technical problems of K-MOOC system were pointed out. University students learners are expecting improvements in course content and K-MOOC system. Based on these results, this paper suggests instructional strategies to help K-MOOC university students for becoming lifelong learners of K-MOOC.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of flipped learning and explore the learners' experiences. Data were collected from 64 students who participated in flipped learning for 7 weeks at N university. The results were as follows. First, after applying flipped learning, learners feel more comfortable learning together and prefer collaborative learning. Second, flipped learning had no significant effects on learner's overall metacognition, but it had positive effects on the awareness and cognitive strategies. Third, flipped learning had no significant effects on academic self-efficacy, but it positively affected the task difficulty preference and confidence of learners who had a lower level of collaborative tendencies. Fourth, flipped learning had no significant effects on SDL ability, but it positively affected the learning plan of learners who had a higher level of collaborative tendencies. Fifth, learners' class satisfaction of flipped learning was generally very high. We suggested a policy, instructional design and strategies for effective implementation of flipped learning.

Archives should provide a web-based archival information service with good usability based on the understanding of users' needs. Thus, this study analyzed the usability of the National Archives of Korea (NAK) website's search service through expert and usability evaluations for various users and suggested improvement plans. A literature review, heuristic evaluation, one of the usability expert evaluation methods, and usability evaluation for users were performed. As a result of expert evaluation, the severity rating for the usability problem was highest regarding a match between the system and real world and the lowest in error prevention. In the usability evaluation, it was assumed that the user's background and whether the website's help was provided is associated with usability. Usability evaluation was conducted for 22 participants, including those majoring in records management, web/application developers, and people without such backgrounds. Furthermore, a presurvey, a five-second test, and search tasks were conducted in a row. The analysis based on usability components in ISO 9241-11: 2018, i.e., effectiveness, efficiency, and satisfaction, showed that web/application developers had the highest search effectiveness, and those majoring in records management showed high effectiveness only in the search for archival content services. Background factors did not affect efficiency, and the more familiar with the finding aids, the better the efficiency. Moreover, providing the website's help was found to be positively associated with effectiveness and satisfaction. This study suggests that the NAK website will offer a user-friendly interface and search function, expand help support, and display a consistent web interface.

COVID-19 Archives are some of the Disaster Archives. It is necessary to collect disaster records produced in real-time at the disaster scene rather than start collecting records after the disaster recovery. Therefore, this study summarized the definition and purpose of disaster archives to understand the current status of domestic and foreign COVID-19 archives and examined overseas disaster archive collection policies that can be referenced in establishing a COVID-19 archive collection policy. In addition, surveys and interviews were conducted on institutions that establish and operate related archives at home and abroad. As a result, record collection Improvement plans for the COVID-19 archive were proposed: Firstly, in terms of collection policy improvements, the essential elements identified in the survey were selected as additional collection policy elements. Secondly, diversification of participants' groups requires the introduction of clear definitions of collection targets, diversification of promotional methods such as recording record contents through collaboration with related departments, and improving copyright issues that limit record donation. Thirdly, participatory record collection methods with efficient questionnaires in participatory forms and privacy issues are proposed as improvement plans.
