  • The purpose of this study is to identify the possibility of developing the 100% Recycled-resources Absorbent-Pervious Alkali-activated Blocks using both the alkalli-binder and the recycled aggregate. In addition, It established a test method such as Void ratio, compressive strength, coefficient permeability, absorption, and evaporation. As a result, an alkali-activated using recycled aggregate block was able to manufacture an 24 MPa class absorbent-pervious blocks with a liquid type sodium silicate and early high temperature curing. In this case, water-holding capacity, absorption and relative absorption were more effective than the natural aggregates. In conclusion, Absorbent-pervious alkali-activated Block Using recycled aggregate has a surface temperature reducing effect of approximately 10 % compared to ordinary concrete block.

  • This study was carried out to investigate the compressive strength and the other effects varying to seasons and curing days on the wet curing conditions of the plain concrete. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. The longer the wet curing days and the higher the temperature, the greater the compressive strength was expected. 2.。$_2$8, compressive strength of concrete at 28 days under the dry curing conditions showed a range in 64-76% of that under the wet curing conditions. 3. The seasonal variations in the compressive strength under the wet curing showed in order of summer>spring=autumn>winter, and that under the dry curing were in order of spring ≒autumn> summer> winter. 4. In order to obtain 90% of the design compressive strength, 7 days in spring or autumn and 2 weeks of the wet curing in summer were required. 5. The compressive strength of concrete under the wet curing by using wet straw bag cover was almost the same as that of water curing method. 6. Under the wet curing conditions, the higher the temperature, the greater the effect of the curing of concrete was obtained, however, the compressive strength of concrete was decreased under relatively higher (over 15$^{\circ}$ C) and lower temperature (below 4$^{\circ}$C). 7. Freezing damage was occured when temperature was below 0$^{\circ}$ C and humidity was relatively high. 8. A considerable differnce between estimation of $^{\circ}$$_2$8 from $^{\circ}$7 and measured one was appeared in case of the dry curing conditions. Oregon formula was appeared to be acceptable under the wet curing conditions. 9. In relationship between $^{\circ}$$_2$8 and $^{\circ}$7~, $^{\circ}$28=1. 52 $^{\circ}$7 under the wet curing conditions except winter season, and $^{\circ}$$_2$8 =(1.39-1, 48)$^{\circ}$7 under the dry curing conditions were shown.

  • In the ALC(Autoclaved lightweight concrete) manufacturing process, if the pre-cured semi-cake is removed after proper time is passed, it will be hard to retain the moisture and be easily cracked. Therefore, in this research, we took the research by multiple regression analysis to find relationship between variables for the prediction the hardness that is the control standard of the removal time. We study the relationship between Independent variables such as the V/T(Vibration Time), V/T movement, expansion height, curing time, placing temperature, Rising and C/S ratio and the Dependent variables, the hardness by multiple regression analysis. In this study, first, we calculated regression equation by the regression analysis, then we tried phased regression analysis, best subset regression analysis and residual analysis. At last, we could verify curing time, placing temperature, Rising and C/S ratio influence to the hardness by the estimated regression equation.

  • This fundamental study is to examine the significance and limitation of the fumed silica addition to enhance the early compressive strength gain and thermal conduction resistance of cement pastes. The fumed silica content varied from 0% to 1.6% of the cement content by wt% at an interval of 0.4%. Test results showed that the addition of fumed silica is favorable to enhancing the early strength gain of the cement pastes, indicating that 1-day compressive strength corresponded to 45% of the 28-day strength. This high-early strength gain rate is comparable to the trend commonly observed in steam-cured cement concrete. However, the addition of fumed silica little influenced the thermal conduction resistance of cement pastes.

  • It is well known that shotcrete is the most important support member for the construction of large underground spaces. Generally, the strength of the field shotcrete is heavily dependent on the field mixing and spraying conditions so that it is different from the strength of the shotcrete mixed in laboratories. As a support member, the early strength of shotcrete unlike concrete is very important to the initial stabilization of the underground spaces. Therefore, the field methods to efficiently test the early strength of shotcrete have been highly required. This paper aimed to verify the pneumatic pin penetration test and the point load test for measuring the early strength of the field shotcrete. As a result of the experiments through a series of uniaxial compression, pin penetration, and point load tests for the range of the early shotcrete strength, two equations to estimate reliably the uniaxial compressive strength by the pin penetration and the point load tests were acquired.

  • PURPOSES : This study is to suggest time to spray curing compound, the amount of curing compound, and the number of times to spray curing compound based on indoor tests. METHODS : Based on the literature review, two methods are used in this study, One is test for water retention of concrete curing material and the other is test for abrasion resistance of concrete surfaces by the rotating-cutter method. Through those methods, curing compound was evaluated. RESULTS : The result of the laboratory experiment for time to spray curing compound indicates that 30 minutes after placing concrete is optimal. For the amount of curing compound, $0.5{\ell}/m^2$ is the minimum quantity for both concretes. Through test of the number of times to spray curing compound, method to spray the whole amount of curing compound in twice is more efficient than it to spray the whole amount at a time. Also, method of separately 30-50 minutes spray is better than method of separately 10-30 minutes spray. CONCLUSIONS : From the testing results, it can be proposed that optimum time to curing compound is $30{\pm}15$ minutes, $0.5{\ell}/m^2$ is efficient for spraying the whole amount of curing compound at a time, and $0.4{\ell}/m^2$ is the best for spraying the whole amount of curing compound in twice, which sprays it in 20 minutes after 30 minutes from placing concrete.

  • Since the crack self-healing materials are activated according to the exposure environmental conditions from the time of crack occurrence, it is very important to clarify the relationship between the healing performance and the exposure environmental conditions of the crack surface. In this paper, the influence of the exposure environmental conditions on the crack healing performance of self-healing repair mortar was investigated through the water permeability test. The influence of temperature and humidity on the crack width of cracked specimens was evaluated. As a result of measuring the change of the crack width, the effect of curing temperature was negligible but it was confirmed that crack-closing occurred due to the change of dry-wet condition. The healing materials produced on the crack surface of the specimens was identified as calcite minerals. Since the minerals with high density are precipitated under the influence of gravity, the healing performance is somewhat different according to the direction of the crack surface, and the healing performance was significantly improved in the wet exposure condition than the air exposure condition.

  • The 70-story high-rise apartment on Ryomyong Street, Pyongyang was completed in just 75 days, which has raised questions about its structural safety. This study was conducted to find an answer to this question and to contribute to inter-Korean construction cooperation in the future. As a result of analyzing data from Google Earth and North Korean publicity, it could be estimated that there were no problems with the application of shallow foundations, construction speed including concrete strength and curing period, and structural safety until at least May 2022 under several conditions. This means the possibility that the North Korean style high-rise apartment construction method could be understood by South Korean standards, which could help successfully carry out the joint construction project by applying the North Korean style construction and minimizing the transfer of South Korean resources in the future.

  • In order to improve the housing culture, construction changes for the utilization of diverse and multifunctional spaces are appearing in response to the increasing diverse needs of consumers. Cellular Light-weight Concrete (CLC) is being developed for use in fire-resistant heat-insulating walls and non-bearing walls. However, manufacturing non-uniformity has become a problem as a drawback due to the use of foamed bubbles and normal temperature curing, and additional research is required. Therefore, in order to suppress cracks due to drying shrinkage, silica sand is mixed with CLC to try to understand its characteristics. In the experiment, the compressive strength from 7 to 28 days of age was measured via a constant temperature and humidity chamber, and the drying shrinkage was analyzed according to each condition using a strain gauge. The compressive strength of matrix tends to decrease as the substitution rate of silica sand increases. This is judged by the result derived from the fact that the specific surface area of silica sand is smaller than that of slag. Based on KS F 2701 (ALC block), the compressive strength of 0.6 products is 4.9 MPa or more as a guide, so the maximum replacement rate of silica sand that satisfies this can be seen at 60%. Looking at the change in drying shrinkage for just 7 days, the shrinkage due to temperature change and drying is 0.7 mm, and the possibility of cracking due to shrinkage can be seen, and it seems that continuous improvement and supplementation are needed in the future.
