Abortion is prohibited in the Philippines by the law of Christianity. Korean fathers wanted abortions when Filipino mothers were pregnant with their babies (Kopino). However, Filipino mothers had to give birth to the Kopino babies. Therefore, Kopino mothers bring up their babies alone. This study tried to measure and compare what Korean and Filipino evaluate towards Kopino mothers explicitly or implicitly. In addition, this study examined how their attitudes towards Kopino mothers change when the Christianity was primed. As a result of this study, Filipino participants, both explicitly and implicitly, liked more about Kopino mothers than Korean participants. Also, Korean participants showed a little positive explicit attitude and implicit attitude towards Kopino mothers. However, Korean males answered that they liked Kopino mothers at the explicit scale, but they had a negative attitude against Kopino mothers at the implicit level. After activating the Christianity by priming, Filipino participants showed a significant increase of positive attitude towards Kopino mothers at the implicit level. On the other hand, Korean participants remained unaffected. Hence, the priming effect of Christianity varied by country. This study confirmed that Korean females didn't have prejudice against Kopino mothers like Filipino but Korean males had prejudice against them.

각종 음성질환에 있어서 음성검사는 진단뿐 아니라 치료를 위한 중요한 방법으로 알려져 왔다. 특히 수술전후 음성질환의 평가에는 음성검사 뿐 아니라, 후두스트로보스코피를 이용하여 비교함으로써 가능하다. 이중 후두스트로보스코피는 방법이 간단하여 직접 수술전후의 변화를 알 수 있는 장점이 있으나, 객관적인 자료로는 이용하기가 어려운 문제점이 있다. 후두스트로보스코피의 영상자료를 컴퓨터에 연결, 영상신호를 디지털화하여 후두의 움직임을 객관적으로 관찰하려고 시도되어왔다 특히 편측 성대마비 환자에서는 성대의 위치가 외전 될뿐만 아니라 피열연골의 위치가 마비 후 시간이 경과됨에 따라 외회전 하고 성대가 전방으로 위축되어 성대 막성부의 길이가 짧아지는 틀의 후두스트로보스코피의 영상을 보이고, 성대폴립환자에서는 수술전후에 폴립의 크기와 성문면적에 변화를 보이게 된다. 본 연구의 목적은 편측 성대마비와 성대폴립과 같은 각기 다른 두 질병에서 음성경사와 후두스트로보스코피를 이용한 이미지 화상분석을 통해 각 성대의 길이, 각도, 성문틈의 면적과 폴립의 크기등을 측정함으로써 수술전후의 차이를 알아보고, 이미지 화상분석과 음성검사 사이에 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 최근 들어 조작이 쉽고 컴퓨터와 연동하여 조작할 수 있다는 장점 때문에 교육 현장에서도 디지털 현미경의 사용이 증가하고 있으나, 이와 관련한 SW의 개발은 국내외적으로 매우 부진한 상황이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 현미경 영상을 쉽고 효과적으로 분석하기 위한 다기능 영상 측정기 "이미지스코피"를 제안한다. 제안하는 영상 측정기는 일반 영상 편집기의 기능을 제공하면서 미세 영상을 위한 다양한 측정도구도 함께 제공한다. "이미지스코피"는 멀티 레이어 구조의 입체적 편집과, 다양한 영상 형식을 지원하도록 설계하였으며, 미세자를 이용한 측정기준설정과 스프레드시트 연동기능을 갖도록 구현하였다.

Among the various diagnostic methods for the voice disorders, video laryngo-stroboscopy is one of the most practical techniques for clinical examination of the vocal fold vibration. It provides valuable informations about the nature of vocal folds' vibration, the extent of pathologic change and data recording for analysis. To obtain the stroboscopic characteristics of several voice disorders, and apply those informations to the diagnosis and management of disorders, we reviewed the stroboscopic findings obtained from the patients with voice disorders at Voice laboratory, the Institute of Logopedics and Phoniatrics form April 1992 to March 1993.

말소리가 만들어지는 과정 중에서 성대에서 성대음이 만들어지는 과정이 가장 핵심적인 과정이라고 할 수 있다. 이때의 성대의 진동을 관찰할 수 있는 방법은 1) 초고속 영화 촬영(Ultra-speed cinematography), 2) 스트로보스코피(Stroboscopy), 3) 성문파형검사(Glottography) 등이 사용되어 왔다. 1)은 고가의 장비이며 분석도 어려워서 아주 극소수의 연구기관에서만 부분적으로 사용되어 왔고, 2)와 3)은 임상에서 그리고 연구실에서 널리 사용되어 왔다. 스트로보스코피의 영상을 비디오로 녹화하는 장비는 이제는 이비인후과 영역에서 웬만한 종합병원급 의료기관 이라면 거의 필수적인 장비로 자리잡고 있다 그만큼 성대의 미세한 병변에 대한 진단적 가치가 높다고 할 수 있겠다. 스트로보스코피는 끊어져서 발생되는 제논 광선이 내시경을 통하여 성대에 전해지고, 성대의 실제의 진동 보다. 아주 느리게 움직이는 것 같은 일종의 허상이 화면에 나타나고 이를 비디오시스템으로 저장하여 관찰하는 것이다(Fig. 1, 2). In this paper, basic backgrounds about capsule endoscopy are introduced, and the aims and objectives are also illustrated. Methodology and mathematical model for LuGre model were investigated to analyse system characteristics. A nonlinear friction model, the stick-slip motion system based on LuGre friction model was used to simulate the motion of capsule endoscopy inside human body. Under the different situation, LuGre friction model was simulated by Matlab Simulink software. The entire cycle of motion and the influence of parameters towards to velocity are fully simulated.

Anticholinergics, which are commonly given as a pre-anesthetic medication to prevent adverse effects in canine anesthesia, can cause cardiac adverse effects. To determine the effects of atropine and glycopyrrolate on the balance of sympathetic nervous tone and parasympathetic nervous tone of the heart during ketamine anesthesia in beagle dogs, heart rate variability(HRV), duration of anesthesia and behavioral changes were evaluated. There were no significant temporal domain differences between atropine and glycopyrrolate. Concerning the frequency domain component, atropine and glycopyrrolate effects were significantly lower(P<0.05) than the control saline-treated group. However, the root mean square of the interval differences between consecutive R peaks(RMSSD) and the standard deviation of Poincare plot perpendicular to the line-of-identity(SD1) in atropine were significantly decreased(P<0.05) from the baseline value, and the low frequency/high frequency ratio(LF:HF ratio) in glycopyrrolate was significantly increased from baseline value(P<0.05). The change of SD1 agreed with that of the high frequency(HF) in the frequency domain component and also with those of respiratory rate and $SpO_2-R$. Our results prove that glycopyrrolate is more suitable as a pre-anesthetic anticholinergic in ketamine anesthesia of dogs with respect to safety and duration of action.

Laryngeal stroboscopy is a important clinical tool in the diagnosis and evaluation of patients with voice disorders. Stroboscopic parameters evaluated during examination include symmetry, periodicity, glottic losure, amplitude, mucosal wave, and amplitude. Stroboscopy can provide useful information on glottal closure patterns in patient with/without vocal fold pathology and this paper describes the stroboscopic findings of the laryngeal pathologic lesions.
