자기공명분석과 영상촬영을 위한 차폐된 고차경사자계코일의 설계 (Shielded High-Order Gradient Coil Design for Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Imaging)

  • High-order field gradients are useful for spatial localization of a volume of interest and dynamic range improvement of signal detection in NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) spectroscopy and imaging. This paper proposes a design method of shielded high-order gradient coils to reduce tile effect of eddy current on tile spectroscopy and imaging results. According to the experimental results, the shielded gradient coils produce less than 2 % eddy current compared to non-shielded coils. Two shielded $z^2$ gradient coils have been designed and constructed for 1.5 T whole-body and 3.0 T animal NMR imaging systems. Experimental results are in good agreement with the theoretically expected behavior and show the utility of the shielded high-order gradient coils.

유동공진을 위한 가진기 설계 (Vibration Exciter Design for Flow Resonance)

  • Heat dissipation technology using flow resonant phenomenon is a kind of new concept in heat transfer area. A vibration exciter is needed to generate air turbulence which has the natural shedding frequency of heat system. A mechanical vibrating device for the air flow oscillation is introduced, which is driven by a moving coil actuator. An analytical dynamic model for this mechanical vibration exciter is presented and its validity is verified by the comparison with experimental data. Values of some unknown system parameters in the analytic model are estimated through the system identification approach. Based on this mathematical model, a high bandwidth vibration phase, it turns out the high modal resonant characteristics of vibrating plate are the major barrier against obtaining a high bandwidth vibration exciter.

  • The deflection yoke (DY) controls the direction of the electron beam that falls on the screen of the television monitor. Its quality depends on the shape and density of coils wound around the DY coil separator. Winding frames are used to make these coils, and therefore, their shapes are essential in making quality coils. A reverse engineering(RE) is applied to create the 3D model of the winding frame. It considerably shortens the design verification time and shows the level of accuracy that is feasible in the production mode. The paper explains each step of the reverse engineering process in detail.

  • 현재 Passive component 중의 하나인 트랜스포머의 소형화가 큰 이슈로 대두되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기판의 와전류 효과의 영향을 줄이기 위해 LTCC기판을 이용하여 트랜스포머를 설계하고, 1:1 및 1:n의 권선 수를 갖는 두 코일의 인덕턴스 및 상호 인덕턴스를 시뮬레이션 하였다. 트랜스포머의 최대 크기는 2.55mm $\times$ 1.1 mm 이고 선폭은 50um 선간 간격은 50um이고, 기둥의 높이는 40um이다. MEMS 기술을 사용하여 기판 커플링과 저항손을 줄임으로서 8.5GHz 에서 0.33dB의 낮은 삽입 손실을 나타냈다.

  • Superconducting racetrack coils are used in areas of generators, motors, wiggler magnets and so on. Especially now a days many advanced nations including U.S., Japan are developing high temperature superconducting(HTS) wire which has better performance than low temperature superconducting(LTS) wire. Most of HTS wires such as Bi-2223 are manufactured with PIT(Power In Tube Method) process, so the shape of the wire looks like tape different from LTS wire of round shape as normal conductors. Generally HTS racetrack coils are composed of a few partial double-pancake colis and then the double-pancakes are jointed each other according to their applications.

  • Race-track type superconducting coils are used for wiggler magnets of accelerators and field coils of superconducting generators(S.C.G) and so on. The shape is different from ordinary solenoidal type magnet, so the manufacturing situation and conditions become different and moreover according to these results the output characteristics of magnet also becomes different. In this paper we are dealing with race-track type coil design that is inserted into 30(kVA) S.C.G which will be manufactured before we make l(MVA) S.C.G plant. The design procedure is based on two dimensional electromagnetic analysis including laplace equations in cylindrical coordinate.

  • The Electrical insulation design and testing of high temperature superconducting (HTS) coil for high temperature superconducting fault current limiter (HTSFCL) has been performed. Electrical insulating factors of HTS coil for HTSFCL are turn-to-turn, layer-to-layer. The electrical insulation of turn-to-turn depends on surface length, and the electrical insulation of layer-to-layer depends on surface length and breakdown strength of L$N_2$. Therefore, two basic characteristics of breakdown and flashover voltage were experimentally investigated to design electrical insulation for 6.6㎸ Class HTSFCL. We used Weibull distribution to set electric field strength for insulation design. And mini-model HTS coil for HTSFCL was designed by using Weibull distribution and was manufactured to investigate breakdown characteristics. The mini-model HTS coil had passed in AC and Impulse withstand test.

  • 원자력발전소에서는 수많은 Tube로 구성된 증기발생기와 열교환기를 정기적으로 와전류를 이용하여 비파괴검사를 수행한다. 와전류는 재료의 재질, 결함, 이종금속, 형상변화 등에 의해 그 발생상태가 다르기 때문에 검출용 코일에서 얻어진 신호성분을 해석함으로써 재료의 비파괴검사가 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 비파괴검사정보를 추출하고 변환 처리하는 과정과 비파괴검사정보를 Tubesheet에 Mapping 처리하는 기능, 검사주기 및 기기별로 비파괴검사정보를 비교 분석할 수 있는 기능, 하나의 Tube에 대한 결함깊이별, 결함진폭별 결함성장률 현황 등 Tube의 건전성을 평가할 수 있는 추이분석 자료를 제공하는 시스템의 설계와 구현에 대한 개발 결과를 소개한다.

  • The most basic form of a direct-drive linear motor is the voice coil motor(VCM). The voice coil motor employs a stationary permanent magnet field assembly in conjunction with a moving coil winding assembly to produce a force proportional to the current applied to the coil. Voice coil motor provide motion capable of extremely fine position sensitivity, limited only by the feedback sensor used to close the control loop. This paper presents dual-servo voice coil motor for improvement of driving range and position resolution. The voice coil motor is a cylindrical shape to improve reliability of a nanoindenter.

  • Rogowski coil is made having no ferromagnetic material in a core. So the coil cannot be driven into saturation. This result in that Rogowski coils may be calibrated at relatively low currents, and used with confidence at very high currents. However the lowest level of current that can be measured is limited by the sensitivity of the voltage measuring instrument and system noise. Therefore, geometrical effects were investigated in order to measure high sensitivity of low level current and the significant source of error wa examined as well. n the results, the source of error was associated with coil designs, i.e. shape and uniformity of coil and a geometrical location of current source inside and outside of the Rogowski coil.
