  • COVID-19 has been affecting the library, not to mention society as a whole. Especially, there are many changes in the role and service of the university libraries as all the classes of the universities are turned into non-face-to-face and the use of the university libraries is restricted. The changes in users' use of information and communication behavior due to COVID-19 could be an opportunity for new utilization of human and material resources the university libraries have and for the development of services. However, on the contrary, the university libraries could face another crisis if they fail to respond appropriately to current changes. Therefore, it is necessary to grasp, analyze the impact of COVID-19 and plan how to respond. A survey on the effects of COVID-19 and the response of the university libraries and the perceptions of the university libraries found that most university libraries are responding appropriately to COVID-19. However, a survey on the perceptions of the present and future of the university libraries under COVID-19 showed that many survey respondents think COVID-19 would have a negative impact on the university libraries. This means that the changes caused by COVID-19 are causing a crisis and anxiety in the university libraries. Therefore, by working hard together, the university libraries need to present the university libraries' new role, service and direction in the post-COVID-19 era as well as responding to the current situation.

  • This study shows that consumers' attitudes and behaviors are rapidly changing due to the COVID-19 outbreak in a situation where consumption patterns are already changing due to demographic changes such as an increase in the number of single-person households and dual-income couples. To this end, the results of an online survey conducted on 500 panels of Nielsen Korea were used in this study. In particular, consumers were divided into two generation groups (Generation Z vs. Millennial) and analyzed and presented changes in consumption activities and food purchasing behaviors changed by COVID-19. As a result, the existing online distribution trend has been strengthened, and its impact has been amplified by COVID-19. These changes also resulted in different consumption behaviors depending on the degree of concern for COVID-19 by generation. Based on the results of this study, it turns consumers' behavioral changes into new opportunities, focusing on the accelerating a new 'contactless' lifestyle, which will provide managerial implications for the food industry's response strategies in relation to the theoretical significance and in practice.

  • This study aims to identify the importance and degree of performance of COVID19 infection control educational program for 4th grade nursing college students, and to prepare the basic data for developing COVID19 infection control nursing education program based on this study. Data were collected from January 6 to January 30, 2020 by using structured questionnaire from 72 senior nursing students at "A" City Nursing College. The overall average of importance of COVID19 infection control nursing was 4.4 out of 5, and the overall average of performance was 2.4 out of 5. The greatest difference in importance and performance were the sectors of personal protection(equipment dressing & undessing) and collecting safe sample. By analyzing the needs for COVID19 infection control nursing of nursing college students It is used as the basic data for the development of simulation education programs by improving performance of both personal protection and collecting safety samples.

  • We analyze the performance of South Korea wholesalers and retailers during the period when COVID-19 emerged and began to spread in South Korea. Specifically, we choose operational efficiency as a proxy variable for reflecting corporate performance and apply stochastic frontier analysis for estimating operational efficiency. Importantly, in order to examine the impact of the COVID-19 period (Q1 to Q2 2020) on operational efficiency, we consider the quarterly fixed effect corresponding to the COVID-19 period. Our findings include: (ⅰ) the average level of operational ffficiency is approximately 0.7138 during the analysis period (Q1 2019 to Q2 2020); (ⅱ) the fixed effect of the COVID-19 period on operational efficiency is not significant; and (ⅲ) operational efficiency is positively correlated with the scale of the company. Moreover, from an academic perspective, we make a contribution by examining the relationship between the operational efficiency as a firm-level variable and the COVID-19 period as a macroeconomic variable.

  • There has been a major change in the way of life and thinking of all mankind due to covid19. In particular, managerial issues related to supply chain such as global supply chain disruption, and trade friction among countries are drawing the attention. Accordingly, a number of studies are being conducted on the supply chain challenges and solutions to overcome the covid19 crisis, but published research on the impact of covid19 on supply chain management is lacking. In this study, network text analysis is conducted mainly on news articles and this study summarizes the issues related to supply chain management in the era of covid19. The trend analysis results indicated that actively discussed area was global supply chain restructuring and confirmed that main topics are re-shoring, applications of new technology, and the new normal in supply chains. The findings are expected to help expand the scope of research in supply chain management research in the covid19 era.
