  • 본 논문에서는 MPEG2(Moving Picture Expert Group 2)비디오 디코더에서 영상데이타를 디코딩하는 기술에 관한 것으로, 종래의 동여상 처리기에서는 허프만 코드화 처리를 하여 정지영상을 부호화한 후 분할기반 부호화 방식의 동영상 처리기법을 사용하였으나 1프레임의 코드화시에도 많은 계산 알고리즘이 필요하고 이미지의 닮음정도를 객관적수치로 표현할 수 없으므로 비슷한 이미지를 중복 코드화 작업 및 전송 작업을 하는 결함이 있었다. 본 눈문에서는 이를 해결하기 위하여 이미지의 닮음정도를 수치화하고 기준값 이하의 영상은 코드화 작업을 하지않고 계산된 영상 변화값에 의해 구현된 영상으로 대체하여 저장 및 전송하도록 하여 시각적으로 전혀 거부감이 없는 동영상을 구현하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 다중안테나 시스템(Multiple-Input Multiple-Output : MIMO)과 다중코드(Multicode)를 사용하는 코드분할 다중접속(Code Division Multiple Access : CDMA) 시스템의 하향링크(from the base station to the mobile) 환경하에서 채널응답의 중요한 요소인 전송지연시간(Propagation Delay Time)이 기존의 단일안테나(Single-Input Single-Output : SISO) 채널 환경에서 다중안테나 채널 환경으로 바뀌어 적용되었을 때 발생할 수 있는 환경 변화를 찾아보고 그러한 환경이 코드 동기 성능에 미치는 영향과 그러한 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 효율적인 파일롯(Pilot) 전송 기법을 제안 하였다. 또한 모의 실험을 통하여 도착 시간 지연 차이의 분산(variance)값이 검파 성능에 미치는 영향을 확인 하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 인식코드를 전송할 수 있는 modulator 뿐만 아니라 Reader system으로부터 코드 전송제어 명령어를 수신할 수 있고 향후 EEPROM과 더불어 인식코드를 수정할 수 있는 RFID (Radio Frequency IDentification) Transponder 칩 설계에 관한 내용을 다룬다. RFID칩은 배터리를 사용하지 않고 명령어와 함께 형성되는 Field로부터 전원을 생성하고 동시에 코드를 제공하는 Full-Duplex 구조로 설계하였다. Transponder IC는 power-generation 회로, clock generation 회로, digital block, modulator, overvoltage protection 회로로 구성된다. 설계된 칩은 저전력 회로를 적용하여 원거리 transponder칩을 구현할 수 있도록 하였다. 설계된 회로는 $0.6{\mu}m$ 현대 CMOS 공정으로 레이아웃 하였으며 제작중에 있다.

Performance Analysis of Rotation-lock Differential Precoding Scheme (회전로크 구조의 차분 선부호화 기법의 성능 분석)

  • Long term evolution (LTE) and LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) systems adopt closed-loop multiple-input multiple-output antenna techniques. Equal gain transmission which has equal gain property is the key factor in their codebook design. In this paper, a novel differential codebook structure which maintains the codebook design requirements of LTE or LTE-A systems. Especially, eight-phase shift keying (8-PSK) constellations are used as elements of codewords, which not only maintain equal gain property but also reduce the computation complexity of precoding and decoding function blocks. The equal gain property is very important to uplink because the performance of uplink is very sensitive to the peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR). Moreover, the operation of the proposed differential codebook is explained as a rotation-lock structure. As the results of computer simulations, the steady-state throughput performance of the proposed codebook shows at least 0.9dB of SNR better than those of the conventional LTE codebook with the same amount of feedback information.

  • In this paper, a robust video transmission system is proposed. To effectively prevent the corruption of video stream and its propagation in spatial and temporal domains, a version of turbo code, so-called as byte-aligned variable-length turbo code, is applied. Protection performance of the proposed turbo code is first evaluated by applying it to GOB-based variable-size ITU-T H.263+ video packets, where the protection level is statically controlled based on the joint source-channel criteria. This protection is then extended to support the adaptation of code ratio to best match the time-varying channel condition. The time-varying Rayleigh fading channel is modelled considering the correlation of the fading channel. The resulting performance comparison with the static turbo code as well as the conventional RCPC code clearly demonstrates the possibility of the proposed adaptation approach for the time-varying correlated Rayleigh-fading channel.

  • In this paper, BPSK-OFDM-based LED communication systems are applied to watermarking techniques, were studied on how to transfer the additional information data with at the same time as the transfer of LED communication data. For watermarking kasami code was used as spreading codes, and spread additional data is controlled by small signal level to be BPSK-OFDM does not affect the optical signal. BPSK-OFDM is added to an optical signal is transmitted. The performance of the spreading code as a kasami code is autocorrelation of the noise-free environment, under the noise environment was confirmed by autocorrelation. BPSK-OFDM-based LED communication system has been applied proposed technique throughout the simulation in analyzed to BER of BPSK-OFDM DER performance and watermark signal level according to signal size level of data. That was availability confirmed for watermarking data transmit techniques data as being analysis detection performance of watermarking information using LED communication according to the code.

An Adaptive FEC Code Control Algorithm for Mobile Sensor Networks (이동 센서 네트워크를 위한 적응적 FEC 코드 제어 알고리즘)

  • 전파(propagation) 오류가 빈번한 무선 이동 네트워크에서는 전송 성능을 향상하기 위해 FEC(Forward Error Correction) 알고리즘을 채택한다. 그러나 정적인 FEC 코드 제어 방식은 연속적으로 변화하는 전파 오류율에 알맞은 정정 코드(check code)를 적용하지 못해 성능이 저하된다. 일례로 측정한 고 오류 무선 센서 네트워크에서는 초단위 평균 BER(Bit Error Rate) 또는 분단위 평균 BER이 0에서 최대 $10^{-3}$까지 연속적으로 변화한다. 이러한 무선 환경에서 전파 오류를 $100\%$ 복구하기 위한 정정 코드를 채택하는 경우에는, 불필요한 정정 코드량은 전체 데이터에 최대 $20\%$를 차지한다. 본 논문에서는 무선 채널의 BER을 직접 측정하지 않고 패킷 전송 성공 여부에 따라 정정 코드의 량, 즉 FEC단계를 동적으로 변화하는 AFECCC (Adaptive FEC Code Control) 알고리즘을 소개한다. AFECCC는 트레이스 기반(trace-driven) 시뮬레이션에서 정적 FEC 방식에 비해 최대 $5\%$ 이상, 또한 실제 센서 네트워크에서는 정적 FEC 알고리즘에 비해 최대 $15\%$ 성능이 향상되었다.

  • A differential codebook using M-ary phase shift keying (M-PSK) constellation as its codeword elements, is proposed for Long term evolution (LTE), LTE-Advanced (LTE-A), and/or WiMAX systems. Due to the temporal correlation of the adjacent channel, the consecutive precoding matrices are likely to be similar. This approach quantize only the differential information of the channel instead of the whole channel subspace, which virtually increase the codebook size to realize more accurate quantization of the channel. Especially, the proposed codebook has the same properties of LTE release-8 codebook that is, constant modulus, complexity reduction, and nested property. The mobile station can be designed by using a less expensive non-linear amplifier utilizing the constant modulus property. Computer simulations show that the capacity of the proposed codebook performs better than LTE release-8 codebook with the same amount of feedback information.

  • The main drawback of the multi-code spread spectrum communication system, which spreads data bits stream by the multiplexed orthogonal codes, is the need for the highly linear amplifier. Several constant amplitude precoding schemes have been proposed for the Walsh code or the extended $m$-sequence based multi-code spread spectrum systems. In the constant amplitude spread spectrum systems the accompany code is transmitted together with orthogonal codes to maintain the transmitter output in a constant level. In this paper we propose the use of the accompany in the receiver to improve the BER performance. The proposed receiver has the capability to correct the code detection error(up to one code error). We carried out simulations to verify the validity of the proposed algorithm. BER performance improvement was noticed compared with the conventional receiver.

  • This paper describes a dnw serial interface system which uses comma free code. Typically parallel 25 pin cable and connectors are used to transfer and receive the data between digital systems such as HDVCR, D3VTR and HDTV Receiver.The coaxial cable is more desirable for consumer product applications and also for studio applications where long signal paths and switching are requeired. This serial data trasfer technique is possible the error detection and the self synchronization, also easy edge insertion for PLL control. It is also cost effective because is does not requeire RF PLL, scrambling, and NRZI hardware.
