A Consideration on the Causes of 22.9kV Cable Terminal Burning Accident (22.9kV 케이블 단말 부위 소손 사고의 원인에 관한 고찰)

  • The main cause of cable accidents is the accelerated deterioration of the cable itself or internal and external electrical, mechanical, chemical, thermal, moisture intrusion, etc., which reduces insulation performance and causes insulation breakdown, leading to cable accidents. Insulation deterioration can occur even when there is no change in the appearance of the cable, so there is a difficulty in preventing cable accidents due to insulation deterioration. Since cable accidents can occur in areas with poor insulation due to the effects of overvoltage and overcurrent, it is necessary to comprehensively analyze transformers and circuit breakers, and ground faults caused by phase-to-phase imbalance. Ground fault accidents due to insulation breakdown of cables can occur due to defects in the cable itself and poor cable construction, as well as operational influences, arcs during operation of electrical equipment (switchers, circuit breakers, etc.). analysis is needed. This study intends to examine the causes of cable accidents through analysis of cable accidents that occurred in a manufacturing factory.

  • The demand for electric power is increasing every year. All facilities operating at power stations and all facilities used in transmitting high volumes of electric power are therefore expected to operate with a high degree of reliability. 6.6 kV XLPE 100 SQ 1C cables are used to deliver high levels of generated electric power. Depending on the method of manufacture, installation environment, and usage conditions, the deterioration processes of power cables start from the instant of operation. Cable junctions may break down in three years from the start of operation due to manufacturing or construction defects. We have invented the first device in Korea to monitor the status of live cables and installed these at Korea Western Power Co., Ltd.. We have set the criteria to determine deterioration status and specified the degree of deterioration at which one should replace the cables. In this paper, we present the effect of insulation layer and sheath on the insulation resistance status in cables.

  • This paper describes a diagnosis of distribution cable splices by analysis of ultrasonic signals which are generated by partial discharge. A method of ultrasonic signal was used to detect internal defects in distribution cable splices. It is possible that analysis of ultrasonic signal predicts failure by partial discharge generated in distribution cable splices.

  • 지중 전력케이블의 접속함은 금속보호관(Casing or Protective Tube)의 전기적 검토를 통해서 적정 단면적을 산정하여 고장시 고장전류를 흘려주어야 한다. 현재 국내외 금속보호관은 그 재료로서 Copper를 사용하고 있으나 현장에서의 시공성 및 취급 용이성 때문에 알루미늄 보호관으로 재질 변경이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 Copper보호관과 Alumlnium보호관에서의 비교검토를 통해서 Aluminium보호관의 유효성을 검토하고 구리에서 알루미늄으로 재질 변경이 이루어 졌을 때 열적 제약조건을 고려하여 적정단면적을 재 산정한다. 또한 산정된 단면적은 단락시험을 통해서 그 유효성을 입증하였다.

  • This paper represents the results of study on Extra High Voltage Power Cable Connection System Development. The purpose is to evaluate structural safety by numerical analysis for the relaxation of electric field concentration and by structural analysis of Carrier Pipe for easy installation of High Insulating Rubber Sleeve in the field, which is core technique of connection system. According to the results, the thickness of Carrier Pipe needs at least 9mm by optimization analysis of deformation behavior and insulating design & relaxation of electric field concentration. The result of contraction behavior of the connection part can be demonstrated with the same result of electric field relaxation analysis at the boundary of the electrode inserted into the insulating rubber sleeve.

  • In power cable joints, the interfaces of two different dielectric materials are inevitable. In addition, the interfacial breakdown between two internal dielectric surfaces represents one of the major causes of failure for power cable joints. We chose epoxy/EPDM interface, one of the interface in cable joints, and investigate dielectric interfacial breakdown phenomenon. First, design specimen with Flux 2D. Second, find interface condition which has high dielectric strength. Third, investigate interfacial breakdown properties with variable temperature.

  • 액상실리콘으로 이루어진 초고압전력케이블용 프리몰드 접속재의 반도전-절연체 계면접합체를 다양한 제조조건과 조합별로 제조하여 계면접착력에 대한 영향을 검토하였다. 후가교적용 시 계면접착력이 강화되며 grade조합에 따른 특성차이가 존재하였다. 하지만 고온 장시간의 후가교 조건에서는 계면간의 화학적 결합력의 저하로 인해 오히려 접착력이 낮아지기도 하였다. 절연 RTV와의 계면접착성은 S-1재료가, 절연 LSR의 경우에는 S-3 재료가 가장 우수하였으며 도전안정성 측면에서도 S-3 재료가 상대적으로 유리하였다. 매입형 전극체를 제조하여 절연파괴거동을 연구한 결과 계면접착성과의 직접적인 상관관계는 크지 않음을 알 수 있었다.

  • In march 2002, Study Group on Long-Run Incremental Cost(LRIC) Model of Japan compiled its report. In this report shows there are three ways of inter-islands and island to land telecommunication service, radio communication, suboptic, communication satellite. Analysis of Japanese island network model is helpful in developing Korean island network model. The development of Korean island network model will make he useful costing of local loop unbundling, universal service fund and access charge.

  • 초고압 지중송진선로에 적용되는 가교절연케이블은 전기적 특성의 우수성과 유지보수의 용이성 때문에 확대적용되고 있다. 345kV급 지중송전선로는 장거리 계통에 적용이 되고 있으며, 이에 따라 접속재 부분의 개발이 중요하게 되었다. 현재 154kV용 PMJ는 자체 개발되어 실계통에 설치 운용되고 있다. 345kV급 PMJ개발에 앞서 220kV급 가교절연 송전선로용 PMJ를 자체 설계 및 제조하여 세계적인 인증기간인 KEMA에서 제품의 신뢰성 인증을 받았다.
