Double Encryption of Digital Hologram Based on Phase-Shifting Digital Holography and Digital Watermarking (위상 천이 디지털 홀로그래피 및 디지털 워터마킹 기반 디지털 홀로그램의 이중 암호화)

  • In this Paper, Double Encryption Technology Based on Phase-Shifting Digital Holography and Digital Watermarking is Proposed. For the Purpose, we First Set a Logo Image to be used for Digital Watermark and Design a Binary Phase Computer Generated Hologram for this Logo Image using an Iterative Algorithm. And Random Generated Binary Phase Mask to be set as a Watermark and Key Image is Obtained through XOR Operation between Binary Phase CGH and Random Binary Phase Mask. Object Image is Phase Modulated to be a Constant Amplitude and Multiplied with Binary Phase Mask to Generate Object Wave. This Object Wave can be said to be a First Encrypted Image Having a Pattern Similar to the Noise Including the Watermark Information. Finally, we Interfere the First Encrypted Image with Reference Wave using 2-step PSDH and get a Good Visible Interference Pattern to be Called Second Encrypted Image. The Decryption Process is Proceeded with Fresnel Transform and Inverse Process of First Encryption Process After Appropriate Arithmetic Operation with Two Encrypted Images. The Proposed Encryption and Decryption Process is Confirmed through the Computer Simulations.

Wavelet-based Electronic Watermarking Algorithm for Digital Holography Interference Patterns (디지털 홀로그래피 간섭패턴을 위한 웨이블릿 기반의 전자적인 워터마킹 알고리듬)

  • Digital holography interference pattern generated by a computer calculation (CGH) is one of the most expensive contents and its usage is being expanded. Thus, it is highly necessary to protect the ownership of digital hologram. In this paper a hologram-domain and a frequency-domain electronic watermarking schemes were proposed. The hologram-domain scheme was only to compare the results to the ones from frequency-domain scheme and the frequence-domain scheme used 2-dimensional against the attaks. Especially the MDWT-domain scheme was very high robustness such that th error ratio at the worst case was only 3%. Thus, we expect that it is used as a good watermarking scheme of digital hologram with high performance.

  • 컴퓨터 생성 홀로그램(computer-generated hologram, CGH) 기법은 광학 신호들을 근사화한 후 PC에서 수학적인 연산으로 디지털 홀로그램을 생성하는 기술이다. 본 논문에서는 CGH 기법을 하드웨어로 구현할 경우 완벽한 병렬처리와 파이프라이닝이 가능하도록 연산식을 최적화하는 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법은 홀로그램의 이전 좌표에서 계산된 값에 일정한 값을 더하여 홀로그램을 생성하는 반복가산 기법의 일반항을 분석하여 하드웨어에 최적화된 수식으로 변형하는 것이다. 최적화된 수식의 경우 현재 좌표의 홀로그램을 계산하기 위해 이전 좌표에서 연산되었던 결과값을 기다렸다 이용하지 않기 때문에 실시간 디지털 홀로그래피를 위한 전용 하드웨어의 설계에 적합할 것이다.

  • 최근 차세대 영상 기술로 홀로그래피가 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 컴퓨터를 이용한 홀로그램 생성 방법(computer generated hologram, CGH)을 많이 사용하고 있는데 CGH는 많은 연산량이 요구되기 때문에 실시간의 CGH를 위해서 FPGA나 GPU를 이용한 연산 방법이 주로 사용되고 있다. 하드웨어를 기반으로 하여 구현할 경우에 내부 시스템의 비트 제한으로 인하여 S/W와 같은 품질을 얻을 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 품질의 저하를 최소화하면서 하드웨어의 자원을 최대한 감소시킬 수 있는 하드웨어 비트 너비를 분석하여 가이드라인을 제시하고자 한다.

  • In this paper, the construction of ultrasonic hologram and the image reconstruction using computer have been studied, and it has been compared with optical reconstruction. The ultrasonic hologram has been constructed using c-scanning method$(128\times128 step)$and the image of the object has been reconstructed by computer using Rayleigh -Sommerfeld formula and DFT algorithm. In this experiment, the holography system has been builted with the transducer of 5MHz center frequency and 5cm focal length, and the mechanical c-scanning system. It has been shown that the reconstructed image using computer for aluminum plane with the 'S' shaped defect has been displayed image of high quality.

Quality Analysis on Computer Generated Hologram Depending on the Precision on Diffraction Computation (회절연산 정밀도에 따른 CGH 기반 홀로그램 생성 품질 분석)

  • Computer-generated holography requires much more computation costs and memory space rather than image processing. We implemented the diffraction calculation with low-precision and mixed-precision floating point numbers and compared the processing time and quality of the hologram with various precision. We compared diffraction quality with double, single and bfloat16 precision. bfloat16 shows 5.94x and 1.52x times faster performance than double precision and single precision. Also, bfloat16 shows lower PSNR and SSIM and higher MSE than other precision. However, there is no significant effect on reconstructed images. These results show low precision, like bfloat16, can be utilized for computer-generated holography.

Optical Encryption of Binary Information using 2-step Phase-shifting Digital Holography (2-단계 위상 천이 디지털 홀로그래피를 이용한 이진 정보 광 암호화 기법)

  • We propose an optical encryption/decryption technique for a security system based on 2-step phase-shifting digital holography. Phase-shilling digital holography is used for recording phase and amplitude information on a CCD device. 2-step phase-shifting is implemented by moving the PZT mirror with phase step of 0 or ${\pi}/2$. The binary data and the key are expressed with random code and random phase patterns. The digital hologram is a Fourier transform hologram and is recorded on CCD with 256 gray level quantization. We remove the DC term of the digital hologram fur data reconstruction, which is essential to reconstruct the original binary input data/image. The error evaluation fer the decrypted binary data is analyzed. One of errors is a quantization error in detecting the hologram intensity on CCD, and the other is generated from decrypting the data with the incorrect key. The technique using 2-step phase-shifting holography is more efficient than a 4-step method because 2-step phase-shifting holography system uses less data than the 4-step method for data storage or transmission. The simulation shows that the proposed technique gives good results fur the optical encryption of binary information.

Development of 3D Holographic Multi-vision applying Wi-Fi Interlocking Technology

  • In this paper, we propose a multi-vision based hologram display to improve the limited viewing angle problem of a single fan hologram display. Existing single fan type displays have a narrow viewing angle. And when the length of the fan becomes longer, there is a problem of low resolution. Also, it is difficult to change data due to the use of the SD card. So, we want to implement a dedicated app to transmit data via Wi-Fi. In this paper, we designed and implemented a display consisting of 3 REG LED fans. As a result of video transmission using the app, it was confirmed that it can be used for commercial purposes such as advertisements and demonstrations. The results of this study are thought to be of great help in the popularization of multi-vision holograms.

  • We realized CGH display of moving objects with an optical addressed spatial light modulator. CGH was calculated by the horizontal parallex method for saving a calculating time, and calculation speed was improved by making a lookup table of trigonometric function and root calculation. This lookup table was applied to a low resolution SLM, and succeeded in a simultaneous display of the three hologram images by the scanning method.

  • 공간 광변조기(spatial light modulator)는 빛의 진폭, 위상 혹은 편광 상태를 공간적으로 변조하는 소자이다. 2차원적인 화소 배열을 갖는 공간 광 변조기는, 전자 소자들이 지니지 않는, 정보를 고속으로 병렬 처리할 수 있는 기능에 힘입어, 광상관기, 광컴퓨터, 프로젝션 TV, 빔 프로젝트, 홀로그래피 메모리의 핵심 소자로 지난 50년간 활발히 연구되어, 액정 공간 광 변조기, 자기 광학 공간 광 변조기$^{(1)(2)}$ 등이 개발되었다. 이 중에서 자기광학 공간 괌 변조기는 화소의 스위칭 스피드가 빠르고, 견고하고, 내방사능성을 가질 뿐만 아니라, 비휘발성이라는 장점을 가지고 있어, 주로 우주항공용의 Miniature Ruggedized Optical Correlator(MROC)$^{(3)}$ 에 사용되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 새로운 개념의 공간 광 변조기인 자성 포토닉 결정을 이용한 자기 광학 공간 광 변조기(MPC-MOSLM)의 제조에 관하여 논하고자 한다 (중략)
