  • 최근 CDMA 방식에 기반을 둔 이동통신 시스템과 GPS, WLAN 등의 통신 시스템 시장은 전 세계적으로 급격히 팽창하고 있으며, 그 발전가능성은 무궁 무진하다. 특히, 개인 휴대 이동통신의 경우, 초기 아날로그 방식을 이용한 음성서비스에서 출발하여, 디지털 방식으로의 성능개선을 통해 가입자의 폭발적인 증가에 대응하고 다양한 콘텐츠를 제공하기 위한 대용량, 고속 신호처리를 실현하였다. 현재 무선 인터넷 및 멀티미디어 기능, GPS 기능을 탑재한 컬러 디스플레이 단말기가 전세계적으로 일반화되는 추세이며, 블루투스 시스템과의 연동을 통해 다양한 서비스를 제공할 수 있도록 연구가 진행 중이다.   • 딥러닝 모델은 영상 처리와 불량 감지 등 다양한 분야에서 높은 성능을 발휘하여 산업적으로 매우 중요하고 필수적인 기술이 되었다. 특히, 불량 감지는 제조업 분야에서 제품 품질 향상과 생산성 향상에 핵심적인 역할을 하는 기술로써 큰 관심을 받고 있다. 본 논문에서는 재건축 방식의 대표적인 모델인 DRAEM에 대해 불량 감지 성능을 향상하는 방법을 제시합니다. 이를 위해 컬러 분포의 차이를 최소화하는 손실 함수와 마스킹에 고주파 필터링을 적용하여 노이즈를 제거하는 방법을 활용한다. 이러한 방법들을 통해 DRAEM 모델의 성능을 개선하고, 정확하고 효과적인 불량 감지를 실현할 수 있다.

A Design of 8VSB Transmission System for Use in PAL Standard (PAL 표준 지역에 적합한 8VSB 송수신 시스템 설계)

  • 8VSB transmission system of American standard and OFDM system of European standard are to be international standards for the transmission of digital terrestrial television. When countries using PAL standard adopt the American 8VSB system which is designed under the circumstance of NTSC system, one of strong interference is the co-channel PAL interference coming from analog PAL signal. In this paper, in order to solve this problem, we classified seven types of PAL system into three groups according to the bandwidth and a new PAL-8VSB system is proposed to reject the co-channel PAL interference by using modified comb filters suitable for each group. By computer simulations of the proposed PAL-8VSB system with the co-channel PAL interference it is confirmed that the proposed comb filter results in the improvement of DIU ratio by about 9 dB.

  • Generally, a camera isn't located at the center of display in a tele-presence system and it causes an incorrect eye contact between speakers which reduce the realistic feeling during the conversation. To solve this incorrect eye contact problem, we newly propose an intermediate view reconstruction algorithm using both a color camera and a depth camera and applying for the depth image based rendering (DIBR) algorithm. In the proposed algorithm, an efficient hole filling method using the arithmetic mean value of neighbor pixels and an efficient boundary noise removal method by expanding the edge region of depth image are included. We show that the generated eye-contacted image has good quality through experiments.

  • We developed a fluorene-containing multifunctional binder polymer for LCD color filter resist, and employing the binder polymer, carbon black based black photoresist (CBR) was prepared in order to apply it to the black matrix (BM). To obtain the multifunction of the binder polymer, we synthesized bisphenol fluorene epoxy acrylate-containing unsaturated polyester and identified the binder polymer structure with $^1H$ NMR, GPC and FTIR. The corresponding BFEA-polyester binder polymer was compared with the commercially available acryl binder toward the application to the CBR. From the BM lithography test, we found that the synthesized BFEA-polyester binder had better photocrosslinking capability and alkali solubility. In addition, the newly developed binder gave a good process margin, good resolution and adhesion property on a glass substrate.

A Study on the Millbase Dispersion for LCD Color Filters (LCD 컬러필터용 밀베이스의 분산 연구)

  • The properties of the dispersion of the red, green, and blue pigments were investigated for the manufacture of the millbase of LCD color filters. Their physical properties and viscosity were controlled to apply to the screen printing in order to substitute the existing photolithography method. The best dispersion properties were obtained with dispersant BYK-2000 and monomer EB-140. The millbase was pre-mixed at 500 rpm for 30 min, and dispersed at 4000 rpm for 5 - 6 hour by Torus Mill. The resulting particle sizes were $100{\sim}110\;nm$ for red, $50{\sim}70\;nm$ for green, and $60{\sim}80\;nm$ for blue. When the millbase viscosity was 200-300 cps in the low viscosity formulation, an efficient impact of the beads on pigments was achieved. The dispersion properties were confirmed from the rheological behavior and color characteristics.

Color Filter Based on a Sub-wavelength Patterned Metal Grating (광파장 이하 주기를 갖는 금속 격자형 컬러필터)

  • A color filter was demonstrated incorporating a patterned metal grating in a quartz substrate. The filter is created in a metal layer perforated with a symmetric two-dimensional array of circular holes, with the pitch smaller than the wavelength of the visible light. A finite-difference time-domain simulation was performed to analyze the device by investigating the effect of structural parameters like the grating height, the period, the hole size, and the refractive index of the hole-filling material on its performance. The device performance was especially optimized by controlling the refractive index of the material comprising the holes of the grating. And two different devices were fabricated by means of the e-beam direct writing with the following design parameters: the grating height of 50 nm, the two pitches of 340 nm for the red color and 260 nm for the green color. For the prepared device with the period of 340 nm, the center wavelength was 680 nm and the peak transmission 57%. And for the other device with the pitch of 260 nm, the center wavelength was 550 nm and the peak transmission was 50%. The filling of the hole with a material whose refractive index is matched to that of the substrate has led to an increase of ${\sim}15%$ in the transmission efficiency.

Image Restoration Considering Chromatic Aberration Problem of Multi-Spectral Filter Array Image (다중 분광 필터 배열 영상의 색수차 문제를 고려한 영상 복원 알고리즘)

  • To capture color and near-infrared images simultaneously, a multi-spectral filter array(MSFA) sensor is used. This is because an NIR band gives additional invisible information to human eyes to see subject under extremely low light level. However, because lenses have different refractive indices for different wavelengths, lenses may fail to focus widely different rays to the same convergence point. This is why a chromatic aberration(CA) problem occurs and images are degraded. In this paper, the image restoration algorithm for an MSFA image, which removes the CA problem, is presented. The obtained MSFA image is filtered by the estimated low-pass kernel to generate a base image. This base image is used to remove CA problem in multi-spectral(MS) images. By modeling the image degradation process and by using the least squares approach of the difference between the high-frequencies of the base and MS images, the desired high-resolution MS images are reconstructed. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm performs well in estimating the high-quality MS images and reducing the chromatic aberration problem.

Efficient Hole Filling Method for Producing Virtual View Images (가상시점 영상 생성을 위한 효율적인 홀 채움 방법)

  • 본 논문에서는 가상시점 영상을 생성할 때 발생하는 홀 영역을 효율적으로 채우는 방법을 제안한다. 가상시점 영상을 생성하려면 우선 깊이 영상에 대해 3차원 워핑을 수행한 뒤, 이때 발생하는 작은 홀을 미디언 필터를 이용하여 적절히 채워야 한다. 홀이 채워진 깊이 영상을 기반으로 하여 입력받은 참조 컬러 영상에 대해 3차원 워핑을 수행하여 가상 위치에 새로운 시점 영상을 생성하게 된다. 이때 또한 마찬가지로 3차원 워핑을 수행하기 때문에 홀 영역이 발생하게 된다. 텍스쳐 영상을 워핑하여 새로운 좌표계로 옮긴 영상은 주변 컬러 화소들과의 관계들을 가지고 있다. 텍스쳐 영상을 워핑한 결과 영상에서 발생하는 홀 영역을 채우기 위해 방향성을 고려한 홀 채움 방법을 사용한다. 홀 주변 화소 영역의 값들을 홀을 채우게 될 후보 화소 값으로 설정한 뒤, 각각의 화소값에 대해 비용값을 계산한다. 이때 가장 적은 비용값을 갖게 하는 주변 화소 값을 해당 영역의 홀 채움 값으로 사용하게 된다. 좌영상과 우영상을 워핑할 때 발생하는 홀 영역의 위치가 각각 다르게 나타난다. 홀 영역은 배경화소 값을 이용해 채울 경우 자연스러운 결과를 보인다. 배경화소 값을 이용하기 위해 좌영상과 우영상에 따른 새로운 홀 스캔 방향 또한 제안한다. 능동적으로 홀 스캔 방향을 선택하여 홀 주변 화소값들을 스캔해가며 워핑 결과 발생하는 홀 영역을 효율적으로 채우게 된다. 결과적으로 제안한 방법을 통하여 생성된 가상시점 영상의 화질이 좋아지는 결과를 확인할 수 있었다.

Hand Gesture Recognition Using HMM(Hidden Markov Model) (HMM(Hidden Markov Model)을 이용한 핸드 제스처인식)

  • In this paper we proposed a vision based realtime hand gesture recognition method. To extract skin color, we translate RGB color space into YCbCr color space and use CbCr color for the final extraction. To find the center of extracted hand region we apply practical center point extraction algorithm. We use Kalman filter to tracking hand region and use HMM(Hidden Markov Model) algorithm (learning 6 type of hand gesture image) to recognize it. We demonstrated the effectiveness of our algorithm by some experiments.
