Recently Digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) has been available as a commercial service. The users sometimes have difficulty in finding their preferred multimedia contents and need to spend a lot of searching time finding them. They are even very likely to miss their preferred contents while searching for them. In order to solve the problem, we need a method for recommendation users preferred only minimum information. We propose an algorithm and a system for recommending users' preferred contents using preference transition probability from user's usage history. The system includes four agents: a client manager agent, a monitoring agent, a learning agent, and a recommendation agent. The client manager agent interacts and coordinates with the other modules, the monitoring agent gathers usage data for analyzing the user's preference of the contents, the learning agent cleans the gathered usage data and modeling with state transition matrix over time, and the recommendation agent recommends the user's preferred contents by analyzing the cleaned usage data. In the recommendation agent, we developed the recommendation algorithm using a user's preference transition probability for the contents. The prototype of the proposed system is designed and implemented on the WIPI(Wireless Internet Platform for Interoperability). The experimental results show that the recommendation algorithm using a user's preference transition probability can provide better performances than a conventional method.

In this paper, We are design & implement to the LMS(Learning Management System) including SCORM standard for effective reusing and management of each digital contents. This system is composed XML based meta-data manager, SQL server and ASP for LMS application, which are the user directed teaming system within effective reusing and management of each digital contents.

현재 무선 인터넷 환경은 이동 단말에 컨텐츠 서비스를 제공할 경우, 서비스 사용자가 소유한 단말 환경의 다양성을 고려한 컨텐츠 최적화 작업을 필요로 한다. 기존 환경에서는 이런 기능을 위한 서버를 따로 설치하여 관리함으로 사용자가 늘어나게 되면 서버에 부하가 집중되어 제공되는 서비스의 질이 저하되는 문제가 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 이런 컨텐츠 최적화 기능을 망에서 제공하여 서버의 부하 집중 문제를 해결하는 이동 컨텐츠 적응형 네트워크(Mobile Contents Adaptation: MobiCAN)를 제안한다. MobiCAN 시스템은 ABone(Active Network Backbone) 데몬과 ANTS(Active Network Transfer System) 실행환경, 컨텐츠 최적화를 위한 액티브 응용으로 구성된다. 본 연구에서는 위와 같이 구성된 MobiCAN 시스템을 실제 무선 인터넷 망과 연동시킴으로 해서 액티브 네트워크의 무선 인터넷 적용 가능성을 확인하였다.

최근 들어 디지털 음악 컨텐츠의 사용량이 증가하면서 데이터베이스로부터 다양한 포맷의 음악 컨텐츠를 효과적으로 찾을 수 있는 음악 검색 시스템의 필요성이 증가했다. 본 논문에서는 사용자들이 자주 질의하는 멜로디를 이용하여 효율적인 검색을 하기 위한 기법을 제안한다. 사용자의 허밍이나 오선지를 통한 질의로부터 추출된 음높이와 음의 길이를 분석하여 UDR과 LSR 스트링으로 변환하고 자주 검색되는 멜로디의 관리를 통해 검색의 성능을 향상시켰다. 또한 XLM을 사용하여 음악 정보를 구조화하는 새로운 데이터 모델을 제안하고 음높이. 음의 길이 , 리듬 등의 음악 특징 정보를 이용한 복합 질의를 통하여 제안한 시스템의 성능 평가를 하였다.

As the broadcasting and communications are digitalized, future broadcasting can provide us new services and content which we have never experienced before. For the services, the development of high-quality content is important as well as the development of efficient technologies. However, if there are no proper methods for protecting and managing content, we can hardly expect the creation of high-quality content to be flourished because much money, time and endeavor should be paid in producing high-quality content. Many activities are under progressing for the protection and management. However, the activities mainly concern general Internet environment which doesn't fully reflect the characteristics of broadcasting. In this paper, we provide a framework model for the protection and management of broadcasting content. First, we analyse the functionalities that must be satisfied in the broadcasting, and we propose a framework model.

본 연구는 IMO 문서 및 지식정보의 관리를 위한 정보관리시스템 구축을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 문서정보관리시스템 및 정보화와 관련하여 국내 외 시스템 구축현황을 살펴보고 시사점을 도출하였다. 또한 유사사례 분석을 통해 IMO문서 및 지식정보 관리를 위해 필요한 컨텐츠 및 세부 시스템 등을 제안하였다. 한편, 이러한 시스템 구축을 위해서는 해상교통안전법 개정과 시스템의 유지 및 관리를 위한 관련 세부지침의 제정이 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

유비쿼터스 시대가 본격적으로 진행되면서 센서 네트워크 및 RFID와 같은 유비쿼터스 기술이 생활 곳곳에 파고들고 있다. 본 연구에서는 유비쿼터스 기술을 활용하여 관광객들에게 박물관 및 관광 컨텐츠 등을 효과적으로 보여 줄 수 있는 방안을 제시하고 있다. 제안하는 시스템은 박물관 및 관광지 등에 RFID 태그를 장착한 대상물을 설치하고 사용자들이 RFID 리더기가 장착된 단말기를 이용하여 무선으로 컨텐츠 정보를 전송 받을 수 있도록 시스템을 설계하였다. 본 논문에서는 RFID 기술을 활용하여 다양한 컨텐츠를 손쉽게 처리할 수 있는 시스템의 설계 및 구현 과정에 대해서 기술하였으며, 실제 시험 환경에서 유용하게 동작하고 있음을 보이고 있다.

We have several kinds of DRM(Digital Rights Management) solutions which protect and control a content based on the cryptography. The current technology of DRM focuses on the content management in the purchaser. It doesn't consider the content management in the other principles like creator, provider, and distributor and doesn't provide the efficient environments of a content distribution. In this paper, we propose a digital content distribution system which processes a content and metadata with electronic copyright management.

Even after Hwang Woo Suk's research ethics scandal in Korean research fields, there are still research ethic problems that are present in the Korean society. In order to spread research ethics education around Korea, there needs to be sufficient amount of research ethics contents prepared, which then can be used to educate and put into action. Through the usages of the scope of research ethics, comparing and contrasting several examples from domestic illegal research acts and American research ethics education, and the Learning Activity Management Systems (LAMS), we would be able to develop a way to manage the research ethics education. Also, in order to fully use and apply the necessary contents and material for the research ethics education program in several universities, we would not only need to use the LAMS system to establish the training system, but also to spread the awareness of research ethics.

Today the web-based learning management information systems are developed as forms of many ordered learning information systems acting up to the personal characteristics, but the previous systems have difficulty in their mutual working, maintaining, and repairing between the systems, because of their one-sided "push" method or reuse of the contents. Also they were not managed together having the dissimilar learning management systems each. Therefore, I made up for the weak points of the previous systems and embodied the international standard SCORM-based ordered learning management information systems. After adapting to sequencing contents, all systems are supplied; giving lectures, solving the problems, evaluating the learners and the function of successive personalization learning based on the result of the learner evaluation systems.
