Development of a Computer Program to Evaluate Smoke Volume Flow rate and Temperature for Tunnel Fires (터널 화재시 연기발생량 및 온도 예측 프로그램 개발)

  • Smoke temperature and volume flow rate in a tunnel fire are calculated. To obtain realistic results, enthalpy of smoke which composites combustion gases and entrainment air is calculated from curvefit polynomials by temperature. A user-friendly computer program for them is also developed. This program might be used for a good engineering tool in design of fire safety and mock/reduced-scale fire tests in a tunnel.

  • Flexible display tends to grow every year, It tends to be larger, slimmer, and higher in image quality. Therefore, accuracy is required in the manufacturing process of each part. In the curved monitor, the bottom chassis has a structure to which other parts can be attached. The accuracy of the curvature which the bottom chassis of the curve monitor monitors has is important. If the curvature error is large, serious defects such as cracks, warpage, twisting and the like occur. Curvature was analyzed using 3D scanner. In the Forming process and Restriking process steps, spring go occurred, and spring back occurred in the Notching process and Bending process steps. Even in the same process, it was confirmed that the curvature value varied depending on the formed shape.

  • 폭발적으로 성장하는 소셜 미디어 서비스로 인해 개인간의 연결이 강화된 환경에서는 URL로써 전파되는 피싱 공격의 위험성이 크게 강조된다. 최근 텍스트 분류 및 모델링 분야에서 그 성능을 입증받은 딥러닝 알고리즘은 피싱 URL의 구문적, 의미적 특징을 각각 모델링하기에 적절하지만, 기존에 사용하는 규칙 기반 앙상블 방법으로는 문자와 단어로부터 추출되는 특징간의 비선형적인 관계를 효과적으로 융합하는데 한계가 있다. 본 논문에서는 피싱 URL의 구문적, 의미적 특징을 체계적으로 융합하기 위한 컨볼루션 신경망 기반의 퓨전 신경망을 제안하고 기계학습 방법 중 최고의 분류정확도 (0.9804)를 달성하였다. 학습 및 테스트 데이터셋으로 45,000건의 정상 URL과 15,000건의 피싱 URL을 수집하였고, 정량적 검증으로 10겹 교차검증과 ROC커브, 정성적 검증으로 오분류 케이스와 딥러닝 내부 파라미터를 시각화하여 분석하였다.

  • In finite element method (FEM) simulations, constitutive models are widely used and developed to represent a wide range of true stress-strain curves using a small number of modeling parameters. Nevertheless, many studies has been conducted to find a suitable constitutive model and optimal modeling parameters to represent experimentally obtained true stress-strain curves. Therefore, in this study, a new constitutive modeling approach using the combined Swift and Voce model is suggested, and confirmed through comparisons of the experimental results with the FEM simulation results.

  • The quality of the casting process generates the largest source of defects in the manufacturing process, so its management is a key factor in productivity and quality evaluation. Based on the results of factor analysis, correlation analysis, and regression analysis with process data, this study aims to optimize the machine learning model to reduce the defect rate and verify the data suitability for smart factories.

  • In the stroke sensitive shock absorber, the oil path is formed along the internal cylinder surface to make the oil flow during the piston's upper-lower reciprocation movement. In constrast with the conventional shock absorbesr which show one dynamic characteristic curve, stroke sensitive shock absorber shows two kinds of dynamic characteristics according to the stroke. In this study, in order to obtain more precise information about design and damping performance analysis, the analysis on the damping force generation process and dynamic behaviour characteristics of stroke sensitive shock absorber are performed by considering the valve characteristics.

  • 헤어 시뮬레이션은 수많은 가닥으로 구성되어 있으며, 헤어 동역학을 기반으로 계산되기 때문에 일반적으로 계산양이 큰 범주에 속한다. 뿐만 아니라 곱슬머리 형태를 유지하려는 제약은 더 큰 계산을 요구하며, 본 논문에서는 수분에 의해 곱슬머리가 젖었을 때 표현되는 구부러짐과 수축을 모델링 할 수 있는 새로운 알고리즘을 제시한다. 이전 연구에서는 곱슬머리에 대한 헤어 시뮬레이션은 곱슬머리의 회전(Curl)형태를 유지하려는 알고리즘을 제안했지만, 강한 외력에 의한 회전형태만을 유지하려고 했으며, 수분이나 열에 의한 곱슬머리의 상태변화는 고려하지 못했다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 IIR(Infinite impulse response) 필터로 스무딩된 헤어 커브를 따라 회전의 수직 성분을 추출하여 회전의 세로방향 신축성을 제어할 수 있는 방법을 제안한다. 우리의 헤어 모델은 곱슬머리의 회전과 신축성을 제어하기 위해 스프링 동역학을 사용하며, 젖은 헤어의 부분적인 상태 변화에도 안정적으로 표현할 수 있음을 보여준다.

  • 본 논문에서는 물리엔진 기반으로 지능형 주행 시스템을 구현하여 사용자에게 쾌적한 주행 환경을 제공하여 사용자가 즐거움을 느낄 수 있도록 하는 것에 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 시스템 환경 내에서 사용자의 위치 및 회전각을 추출한 다음 유한 상태 머신과 베이즈 이론에 입각하여 구현된 모듈에 입력하여서 분석을 한다. 그리고 모듈에서 나온 분석 결과를 장애물이나 커브 구역에서 제공 함으로서 사용자가 현 위치에 따른 환경을 인지하여 좀 더 나은 주행을 할 수 있도록 하였다. 또한 시스템 내부적으로 분석된 자료가 주행 시스템에 피드백 과정을 통해 입력되어 자동적으로 환경에 적응하여 주행 시간을 단축하는 시스템을 설계 하였고, 일부 기능에 대한 구현을 완료하였다.

The evolution of container port group in Bohai Rim of China (중국 보하이만 컨테이너 항만의 진화에 관한 연구)

  • Since China's economic reform in 1978, international trade has enormously flourished and the port industry is reckoned as a key factor contributing to this growth. This study examines the Bohai Rim port group in the scope of top three largest ports Qingdao, Dalian and Tianjin. By utilizing indicators including concentration ratio (CR), Herfindahl-Hirschman index (HHI), the Gini coefficient and the Lorenz curve as well as shift-share analysis (SSA), the concentration level of this port group in the period 2004-2016 is discussed. As a results, CR demonstrates a decrease during the studied period with a minor fluctuation, and HHI index shows a trend of deconcentration with Bohai Rim port group. In addition, SSA indicates that during the period 2004-2016, the overall shift index of Qingdao port was -1.371 meanwhile with Tianjin and Dalian port were 0.118 and 1.252 in turn. These results suggest that the growth in regional influence of Tianjin and Dalian ports would motivate to the deconcentration pattern in Bohai Rim region. The findings assist decision makers and scholars to obtain knowledge about the port development this region. Considering the geographic position of these three ports as the gate of northeast China, it is suggested that these three ports could explore their advantages and cooperate with the small ports in the surrounding area to enhance their influences in the future study.

A Delay-Bandwidth Normalized Scheduling Model with Service Rate Guarantees (서비스율을 보장하는 지연시간-대역폭 정규화 스케줄링 모델)

  • Fair Queueing algorithms based on Generalized Processor Sharing (GPS) not only guarantee sessions with service rate and delay, but also provide sessions with instantaneous fair sharing. This fair sharing distributes server capacity to currently backlogged sessions in proportion to their weights without regard to the amount of service that the sessions received in the past. From a long-term perspective, the instantaneous fair sharing leads to a different quality of service in terms of delay and bandwidth to sessions with the same weight depending on their traffic pattern. To minimize such long-term unfairness, we propose a delay-bandwidth normalization model that defines the concept of value of service (VoS) from the aspect of both delay and bandwidth. A model and a packet-by-packet scheduling algorithm are proposed to realize the VoS concept. Performance comparisons between the proposed algorithm and algorithms based on fair queueing and service curve show that the proposed algorithm provides better long-term fairness among sessions and that is more adaptive to dynamic traffic characteristics without compromising its service rate and delay guarantees.
