Streaming Device and App Development to Transmit and Play without store for Multimedia Contents (멀티미디어 콘텐츠를 저장 없이 스트리밍 전송 및 재생 가능한 스트리밍 기기 및 스마트 앱 개발)

  • Recently, many kinds of TV contents based on multimedia need transmission systems without the saved. In this study, we develop the streaming device and smart app to transmit and play without store for multimedia contents such a broadcasting, internet, VOD, video, and animation. To do this, we compare and analysis main CPU products, broadcasting tuners and interfaces for streaming sources, and memory products. We then design and implement the streaming device which supports 30fps@FHD H.264 decoding and streaming, and multimedia sources with more than three. We develop the software for these requirements. Thissystemis useful to support billing service for multimedia contents.

  • In order to check the status of tire wear, a driver or auto mechanic generally checks tires with the naked eyes or with a coin. Those are easy for anyone but make it difficult to obtain precise information. But the result is a measure of mechanic wear out due to subjective judgment. Since we can not give correctly measure the stability of the tire. This may lead to an accident of the operator. Therefore, there is a need for a system checking tires precisely, accurately and easily, while making up for the aforementioned defect. This thesis has implemented a system with the aforementioned function. This system tire surface scanner data unit to determine the tread wear on the car and a storage unit for the data save, And a Web service unit allows the user to easily check the information.

  • Recently, Capsule Endoscope(CE) system is receiving great attention as a innovative convergence technology that allows doctors to examine the digestive tract of a human body in the minimum invasive way. Once patients swallow the vitamin pill-sized capsule, doctors can detect disease such as blood-based abnormalities, polyps, ulcers, and Crohn's disease through the image information delivered by wireless or human body communication module in CE. Although CE is really a innovative technology, it still suffers from some drawbacks in terms of correct diagnosis of lesion and analysis required time. Due to the massive images approximately 60~120 thousand frames taken by miniature camera in the CE, doctors spend too much time examining the images and analyzing the lesions. Therefore, to lighten the burden of doctors, software tools for fast diagnosis and medical image processing techniques for correct diagnosis of lesion are essential in CE system. In this paper, we investigate the latest trends of diagnosis tools and image processing techniques based on major makers of CE systems, which are hardly known to the general public.

  • With the development of computer technology, augmented reality (Augmented Reality, AR) technology in the future, one of the main directions of development of human interface technology is emerging. On augmented reality based on the design and implementation of a digital business card system. In this paper, a Smartphone is simply information through recognizable digital business card contains information about the system. Digital business card system is compared to the way existing hardware in a way visually-based high precision. In addition, registered as a 3D computer vision of augmented reality technology skills and real-world situations convergence technology for research. Future research, 3D electronic map for Smartphone apps as of the application user interface on the side for research is needed.

  • This paper is designed to develop a Gimbal control stabilizer for drones Gimbal system control for drone for 3D image to make sure clean image in the shaking and wavering environments of drone system. The stabilizer is made of tools which support camera modules and IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit) sensor modules follow exact angles, which can brock vibrations outside of the camera modules. It is difficult for the camera modules to get clean image, because of irregular movements and various vibrations produced by flying drones. Moreover, a general PID controller used for the movements of rolling, pitching and yawing in order to control the various vibrations of various frequencies needs often to readjust PID control parameters. Therefore, this paper aims to conduct the Intelligent-PID controller as well as design the Gimbal control stabilizer to get clean images and to improve irregular movements and various vibrations problems referenced above.

  • Internet banking, electronic financial services and internet telephony service can be available on smart phone recently. In this case, more robust authentication mechanisms should be provided for enhancing security on it. In this study, a facial biometric ID based one-time password generation mechanism is designed and implemented for enhancing user authentication on smart phone. After capturing a facial biometric data using camera module on smart phone, it is sent to server to generate one-time biometric ID. Finally one-time password will be generated by client module after receiving the one time biometric ID based challenge token from the server. Using proposed biometric ID based one-time password mechanism, it is possible for us to provide more secure user authentication service on smart phone for SIP protocol.

  • Aspheric glass lenses have many optical advantages, for glass have superior optical performance and an aspheric form can reduce optical aberrations. Recently, the use of it is rapidly expanding as the mass production becomes possible by glass molding press and so this method is considered as the best method for fabricating an aspheric glass lens, but it is difficult to control many parameters for pressing and cooling process. Design of experiments (DOE) is a very useful tool to design and analyze complicated industrial design problems. This study investigated the pressing conditions to mold aspheric glass lenses for mega pixel phone camera module using DOE method. We have applied fractional factorial design and the response variable was set form accuracy (PV) of aspheric surface of molded lens. The results of analysis indicates that all factors expect for pressing force of each step are available for the form accuracy (PV). It was the optimum condition of the designed pressing conditions for lowering the form accuracy(PV) value of molded lens that all factors were at the low level. The form accuracy (PV) of mold and molded lens under the optimum condition are $0.85\;{\mu}m$ and $0.922\;{\mu}m$ respectively.

  • An absolute interferometer system with multiple point-sources is devised for tile 3-D measurement of rough surface profiles. The positions of the point sources are determined to be the system parameters that influence the measurement accuracy, so they are calibrated precisely prior to performing actual measurements. For the calibration, a CCD camera composed of a two-dimensional array of photo-detectors was used. Performing optimization of the cost function constructed with phase values measured at each pixel on the CCD camera, the position coordinates of each point source is precisely determined. Measurement results after calibration performed for the warpage inspection of chip scale packages (CSPs) demonstrate that the maximum discrepancy is 9.8 mm with a standard deviation o( 1.5 mm in comparison with the test results obtained by using a Form Taly Surf instrument.

피팅 부식을 이용한 LED용 Al 6063 방열판의 열 방출 특성 향상

  • 에너지 효율이 높은 LED조명을 사용하면 에너지 절감, 이산화탄소, 환경오염물질 배출 감소의 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 그러나 LED조명에서 발생하는 열은 LED조명의 수명과 에너지 효율을 감소시킨다. 따라서 LED조명을 상용화하기 위해서는 LED조명에서 발생되는 열을 효율적으로 제거하는 것이 필수적이며 LED조명 방열판의 생산단가 또한 낮아야 한다. 이러한 조건을 충족하는 LED조명용 방열판은 Al 6063이 주로 사용되고 있다. Al 6063은 열전도 특성이 우수하고 생산단가가 저렴하다. 그러나 100 W급 이상의 고출력 LED조명에 Al 6063을 사용하기 위해서는 Al 6063의 열 방출 특성을 향상시킬 필요가 있다. 금속의 열 방출 특성을 향상시키기 위해서 주로 이용되는 방법은 표면적을 극대화 시키는 것이다. 금속에 국부적인 깊이 부식을 일이키는 Pitting corrosion을 이용하면 저렴한 비용으로 Al 6063의 표면적을 극대화하여 방열판의 열 방출 특성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 실험에 사용한 기본적인 구조의 Al 6063 방열판의 크기는 $50{\times}50{\times}30(mm)$ 이며 1M HCl + 0.05M $H_2SO_4$에서 $I_a$ = +40 mA, $t_a$ = 60 ms, $I_c$ = -40 mA, $t_c$ =20 ms로 50, 100, 200 cycle AC 에칭 하였다. Pitting corrosion된 방열판은 $3W{\times}3$개의 LED모듈에서 1시간 발광 시킨 후, 열화상 카메라를 이용하여 표면온도를 측정하였다. 실험결과 AC에칭 cycle이 증가할수록 발열특성이 우수하였으며, Pitting corrosion을 이용하지 않은 방열판에 비해 최대 $5^{\circ}C$의 표면온도 감소가 이루어졌다. 본 연구를 통해, 저렴하면서도 열 방출 특성이 높은 방열판을 설계하면, 고출력 LED조명의 상용화를 앞당길 수 있을 것이다.

Design and Implementation of Visual/Control Communication Protocol for Home Automated Robot Interaction and Control (홈오토메이션을 위한 영상/로봇제어 시스템의 설계와 구현)

  • PSTN (public switched telephone network) provides voice communication service, whereas IP network provides data oriented service, and we can use IP network for multimedia transport service (e.g. voice over IP service) with economic price. In this paper, we propose RoIP (robot on IP) service scenario, signaling call flow, and implementation to provide home automation and monitoring service for remote site users. In our scheme, we used a extended SIP (session initiation protocol) for signaling protocol between remote site users and home robots. For our bearer transport control, we implemented H.263 video codec over RTP (real-time transport protocol) and additionally DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) transport for robot actuator control. We implemented our scheme on home robots and experimented with KTF operator network, and it shows good communication quality (average MOS = 9.15) and flexible robot controls.
