Secure route determination method to prevent sinkhole attacks in INSENS based wireless sensor networks (INSENS 기반의 무선 센서 네트워크에서 싱크홀 공격을 방어하기 위한 강화된 경로 설정 기법)

  • Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are vulnerable to external intrusions due to the wireless communication characteristics and limited hardware resources. Thus, the attacker can cause sinkhole attack while intruding the network. INSENS is proposed for preventing the sinkhole attack. INSENS uses the three symmetric keys in order to prevent such sinkhole attacks. However, the sinkhole attack occurs again, even in the presence of INSENS, through the compromised node because INSENS does not consider the node being compromised. In this paper, we propose a method to counter the sinkhole attack by considering the compromised node, based on the neighboring nodes' information. The goals of the proposed method are i) network reliability improvement and ii) energy conservation through effective prevention of the sinkhole attack by detecting compromised nodes. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can save up to, on average, 19.90% of energy while increasing up to, on average, 71.50%, the report reliability against internal sinkhole attacks in comparison to INSENS.

  • 이 논문에서는 리눅스 기반VDPM(Virus Detection Protection Management)시스템을 제안하고 개발한 응용SW로 감지, 차단 및 관리 방법을 제시한다. 제안된 LVPM시스템은 첫째특정탐색 및 전체탐색 알고리듬에 의하여 개발된 VDPM시스템은 신종 바이러스까지 탐지하는 모든 종류의 바이러스 탐지(VDPM_hawkeye) 모듈, Virus첵크하는 감시 및 Virus첵크후 친정, 제거하는 방지(VDPM_medic)모듈, DB를 update하는 기능을 가지는 관리(VDPM_manager)모듈과 원격 DB관리 및 Virus결과 보고 기능 (VDPM_reporter) 모듈로 되어 있으며 지능적인 Virus방지 시스템, 둘째 네트워크 패킷을 분석하여 네트워크를 통한 침 바이러스 탐지 및 대응 시스템과 셋째 네트워크 패킷을 분석하여 네트워치를 통한 네트워크형 악성 소프트웨어 대응 시스템을 포함한 바이러스 보호 통합 시스템을 구현하였다. 더불어 호스트와 네트웍기반의 통합적인 IDS가 방화벽(Firewall)시스템과 연동하여 IDS 단독 차단이 불가능한 공격을 차단하는 소프트웨어 시스템을 개발하는 것이며 관리자가 사용하기 쉬운 GUI환경으로 구현하였고 대규모 분산 네트워크 환경에서 효율적인 리눅스기반 침입탐지방지관리 솔루션을 제시한다.

  • Attacks such as hacking, a virus intimidating a system and a network are increasing recently. However, the existing system security or network management system(NMS) cannot be safe on various threats. Therefore, Firewall, IDS, VPN, LAS(Log Analysis System) establishes security system and has defended a system and a network against a threat. But mutual linkage between security systems was short and cannot prepare an effective correspondence system, and inefficiency was indicated with duplication of security. Therefore, an active security and an Enterprise Security Management came to need. An effective security network was established recently by Enterprise Security Management, Intrusion Tracking, Intrustion Induction. But an internetworking is hard for an enterprise security systems, and a correspondence method cannot be systematic, and it is responded later. Therefore, we proposes the active enterprise security management module that can manage a network safely in this paper.

  • As the cyber-attacks through the networks advance, it is difficult for the intrusion detection system based on the simple rules to detect the novel type of attacks such as Advanced Persistent Threat(APT) attack. At present, many types of research have been focused on the application of machine learning techniques to the intrusion detection system in order to detect previously unknown attacks. In the case of using the machine learning techniques, the performance of the intrusion detection system largely depends on the feature set which is used as an input to the system. Generally, more features increase the accuracy of the intrusion detection system whereas they cause a problem when fast responses are required owing to their large elapsed time. In this paper, we present a network intrusion detection system based on artificial neural network, which adopts a multi-objective genetic algorithm to satisfy the both requirements: accuracy, and fast response. The comparison between the proposing approach and previously proposed other approaches is conducted against NSL_KDD data set for the evaluation of the performance of the proposing approach.

  • 최근 정보 시스템의 활용도가 높아지고 인터넷을 통한 공간의 제약 없이 네트워크를 통해 먼 거리의 컴퓨터에 원격으로 접속하고 상호간에 자유롭게 데이터를 공유하게 됨으로써 정보유출 위험성이 날로 증가하고 있다. 현재 정보 유출 방지를 위해 다양하고 효율적인 방법들이 연구되어 오면서, 수많은 정보 시스템들은 사용자 인증 및 암호화 기술을 사용하여 보안성이 크게 강화되었다. 그러나 여전히 내부관리자나 사용자에 의한 정보 유출에 대해서는 취약한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 커버로스 인증 시스템 및 접근제어목록을 이용하여 대부분의 암호화 파일시스템에서 문제로 제기되는 파일 공유 문제를 해결하고, 사용자 단위로 관리할 필요가 없는 시스템수준의 키 관리를 하는 안전한 데이터 관리 시스템을 제안함으로써 내부자에 의한 정보 유출 방지 및 외부자 침입을 탐지할 수 있는 방안을 제시한다.

  • In order to actively respond to cyber attacks, not only the security systems such as IDS, IPS, and Firewalls, but also ESM, a system that detects cyber attacks by analyzing various log data, are preferably deployed. However, as the attacks be come more elaborate and advanced, existing signature-based detection methods start to face their limitations. In response to that, researches upon symptom detection technology based on attack modeling by employing big-data analysis technology are actively on-going. This symptom detection technology is effective when it can accurately extract features of attacks and manipulate them to successfully execute the attack modeling. We propose the ways to extract attack features which can play a role as the basis of the modeling and detect intelligent threats by carrying out scenario-based modeling.

  • 비닐하우스는 농업 분야에서 매우 일반적으로 사용되는 구조물로, 식물을 보호하고 작물 수확량을 늘리는 데 사용된다. 그러나 비닐하우스는 보안, 위협에 취약하다. 본 논문은 비닐하우스의 보안에 대한 연구를 다룬다. 본 연구로 비닐하우스의 기존 보안 방식에서 IoT를 활용한 보안 방식으로 바꾸어 침입자의 피해에 더욱 발 빠르게 대처가 가능하게 하였다.

  • Security policy that use defense system such as Intrusion Detection System or Firewall is limited to passive response that only manage important data and resources. This paper analyzes security problem and maximum of passive response, provides a responsive way to Pharming attack which is one kind of hacking. This paper also includes ICMP-based traceback system that uses ICMP traceback Message about invasion that is decided through hacking. With this paper we can intercept damage of personal information leakage and property loss that is done through Pharming attacks.
