Acupuncture has been widely used to treat a variety of disease and symptoms. But various complications have been reported. Among them, peripheral nerve injuries have been reported less frequently than other complications. The purpose of this report is to describe what we believe to be the first case of delayed superficial and deep peroneal nerve compressive neuropathy caused by fibrotic mass formed by neglected broken acupuncture needle.

This paper seeks to contemplate the background of the advent of acupuncture specialists and the social status of doctors including acupuncture specialists, by examining their activities of in the times of SunJo, GwangHaeGun, and InJo through the chronicles of Chosun Dynasty's Official Records. In addition, the meaning of Lee Hyung Ik's BunChimSool, which was even referred to as 'peculiar', and what diseases were meant to be cured by it were looked into.

본 논문에서는 퍼지 규칙을 이용한 설진 진단 시스템을 개발하였다. 건강한 사람의 혀가 붉은 색이고 설태가 적다. 그러나 질병에 걸리면, 혀 색깔은 붉은색에서 흰색이나 파란색 혹은 검정색으로 변하게 된다. 그러므로 혀의 색깔 및 설태를 분석하면 환자의 건강상태를 분석할 수 있다. 의료 진단 시스템은 자동으로 자신을 환자의 질병의 증상을 표시할 수 있으며 환자의 신체적 조건, 질병 조건, 연령 조건에 기초하여 최적의 침술 시간을 계산을 산출할 수 있다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 결과, 개발된 의료 진단 시스템을 사용하여 관리 전자 침술보다 기존의 방법보다 더 효과적인 것으로 입증되었다.

산발성 C형 간염 환자의 약 40%에서 감염경로가 확실치 않다. 이러한 환자들에서 HCV 감염이 수혈, 투석, 수술, 수직감염 및 성적 접촉 등의 잘 알려진 감염 경로 이외에도 침, 귓불 천공 등의 경피적 경로를 통해 전파 될 수 있음을 간과하지 말아야 할 것이다. 저자들은 간염의 가족력이나 수술과 수혈 과거력이 없는 10세 여아에서 피어싱과 침술로 인해 발생한 만성 C형 간염을 진단하고, pegylated interferon과 경구 ribavirin으로 치료한 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고 한다.

경락선상에서 침을 이용한 침술효과가 서양과학에 의해 현재까지 증명되지 않고 있다. 본 연구에서는 일반 수기침술에 의한 전기적 해석에 근거하여 수기자침을 사용하지 않고 전자기장 자극을 통한 경락전위변화를 측정함으로써 통증치료에 유의한 자극 시스템을 개발하였다. 특히 전자계를 발생시키고 집중시키기 위해서 전극 코어의 자성체에 코일을 감아 인가전류에 따른 자속밀도(강도)를 다양하게 발생시킬수 있도록 설계하였다. 자극모드도 다양하게 선택할수 있어서 다양한 치료효과를 기대할수 있도록 하였다. 유의성 평가를 위해 족양명위경상의 상거허혈과 하거허혈에 전극을 부착하고, 족삼리에 전자기자극을 하여 두 경혈점 사이에서 임피던스 변화에 따른 경락전위를 측정하였다. 그 결과, 수기자극에서 측정된 전위패턴과 유사한 전위를 관찰하였으며, 다양한 자극에 대한 반응특성도 확인하였다. 따라서, 비침습 전자기장 자극을 통한 인체의 유도전류를 유발시킬수 있음을 확인하였다.

6년령의 중성화한 수컷 시츄견이 좌측 안면마비를 주증으로 내원하였다. 환자는 신경검사에서 좌측 안면의 신경반사 소실 및 MRI 검사에서 두개강내 지주막낭종이 확인되었다. 환자는 안면신경마비를 유발할 수 있는 다른 기저질환을 감별하고, 또 스테로이드와 이뇨제를 이용한 치료에 대한 반응은 미약하였기에 특발성 안면신경마비로 잠정진단 하였다. 봉독 약침을 이용한 침술치료를 진행 후, 환축의 임상증상은 단계적으로 호전되었으며 치료 8주 후에는 신경반응이 거의 정상적으로 회복되었다. 본 증례는 특발성 안면마비 환축에서 봉독 약침을 이용한 치료 증례 보고이다.

A 54-year-old male patient was admitted due to dyspnea with chest pain and reddish swelling in the right lteral neck and right upper which developed 2 or 3 days age. He was treated with acupuncture in the neck about one week ago prior to admission. CT scans of the chest showed density of air and abnormal soft tissue which suggested abscess of the anterior mediastinum and subcutaneous tissue. He underwent cervical and mediastinal drainage with closed thoracostomy and antibiotic therapy. Black-pigmente anaerobic nonspore-forming gram-negative bacilli were isolated from the mediastinal pus and were identified as Prevotella intermedia/nigrescens upon performing biochemical tests and API rapid ID 32A (bioMeriux, France) kit. He underwent decortication of the right side because of loculated empyema on 41st postoperative day. He was fully recovered and discharged on the 82nd hospital day. This was thought to be another case of descending necrotizing mediastinitis not caused by peritonsilar abscess but by cellulitis developed after acupuncture. Early deterction of mediastinits and aggressive drainage of mediastinal abscess are important.

개에서 정상 발정주기 때와 자궁 축농증에 이환 되었을 경우 이에 대한 전침 자극의 효과를 알아보기 위하여 본 실험을 실시하였다. 정상 자궁 운동은 발정기 때에 최대이었으며 발정정지기 때에 운동성이 감소되거나 결여되었다. 발정정지기 때에 전침자윽을 하거나 Prostagrandin $F_2{\alpha}$를 투여하였을 경우에는 자궁의 운동성이 크게 증가하였다. 자궁경관이 열린 자궁축농증에 이환된 두 마리에서 전침자극을 3~4일간 실시하였다. 자궁의 직경은 감소되었고 질 분비물은 증가한 후 이후 감소하였다. 환축은 회복되는 경향을 보였으나 축주의 요구에 의하여 난소자궁절제술을 시행하였다. 본 실험의 결과를 통하여 전침자극은 자궁 축농증에 이환된 환축에서 축주가 번식용으로 계속 기르기를 원한다거나 또는 난소자궁절제술을 환축에 적용하는데 있어서 수술적인 위험이 높을 때에 적용 가능한 새로운 치료적 대안이 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다.

The masticatory space abscess caused by the acupuncture is a rare condition. A 27-year-old Korean man presented right buccal and submandibular space abscess induced by the acupuncture during his treatment of the temporomandibular disorder. The case was presented with review of literatures.

Objectives : We aimed at reviewing the studies related to the treatment of children by acupuncture therapy. Methods : We referred to PubMed by using searching words of acupuncture and the terms of pediatrics, such as child, children, adoiescence, baby, infant, juvenile. 22 journals with 23 paper were searched and reported. Results : 1. We found 23 articles in 22 journais, whose authors were in China, Japan, Germany, Russia, America, Brazil, etc. 2. Clinical trial was the method which these studies had used mostly the pattern of the rest were reviews, case reports of undetermined articles. 3. We analysed articles and found many articles of nocturnal enuresis, postoperative vomiting, etc. 4. The result of clinical studies represented the significant cure rate. 5. The acupuncture instruments on children's diseases were laser acupuncture, acupressure. and herbal skin sticking as well as body acupuncture,. Conclusion : Study of pediatric acupuncture was increasing and effective result was reported.
