Emerging Technology - Development of Heating Equipment for Korean Food Table (신기술 신소재 - 한식 테이블용 가열조리기구 개발)

  • 한국 식품화의 위상은 구이류 및 전골류 조리시 발생하는 냄새, 연기, 기름 튐 등의 문제로 인해 낮게 평가 되고 있는 실정이다. 현재 사용하고 있는 불판 및 가열원료가 다양하여 맛의 균일화가 어렵고 사용 후 세척처리가 번거로운데다 환경오염까지 발생시킨다. 구이 및 전골에 소비되는 에너지가 잔량을 모두 섭취할 동안 연속적으로 공급하므로 에너지 소비 및 내부 공기조건이 열악한데 반해 연기 및 냄새와 관련된 제품의 개발과 생산에 참여하는 업체는 증가하고 있다. 하지만 기술력 및 자본력이 미미한 수준에 있어 많은 기술적 측면의 보완이 요구된다. 또 소스, 양념, 부재료 등의 가공처리를 외국인의 식문화에 적합하도록 맛, 향, 관능의 관점에서 규격화 및 현지화도 요구되며, 공급되는 원재료의 고기종류, 규격, 등급 등의 조건들이 국내 관능뿐만 아니라 외국인의 관능적인 관점에서 표준화가 시급하다. 주한 외국인을 대상으로 한 설문에서 59%가 한국음식의 세계화가 가능하고 89.9%가 한식메뉴를 소개할 의사가 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 이는 외국인 소비자의 인지도에서 불고기와 갈비 등의 구이류가 다른 한식보다 선호도가 증가하는 것이기 때문인 것으로 분석된다. 2009년 농림수산식품부가 '한식 세계화 프로젝트'를 선포하여 1만여 곳의 해외식당을 2017년까지 4만 곳으로 증가할 예정이다. 따라서 한식문화의 표준화를 위한 용어 재료 기구 단위 등의 표준화 기반개발을 바탕으로 조리 및 식문화의 표준화가 요구되고 있다. 우리나라는 구이전문점들이 일반주거 및 아파트 단지에 위치하고 있어 연기와 냄새에 대한 민원 및 분쟁이 발생되고 있다. 이에 집진, 제연 설비의 설치비용이 많이 소요되고 있으며 대부분의 구이설비가 수입제품으로 규모가 매우 크다. 일본의 경우 2002년도부터 음식점에서 발생하는 연기에 관한 규제를 법제화하였다. 위의 기술적, 경제 산업적, 사회 문화적 측면의 필요성을 바탕으로 본 연구는 연기 음식 냄새 저감 성능이 뛰어난 친환경 저에너지의 가열조리 기구 개발 및 국내외 현장적용 산업화 모델 구축을 통해 한식당 시설 개선 및 고급화를 유도하고 세계시장에서의 한식문화 경쟁력을 확보코자 한식문화 경쟁력 확보와 경제, 문화, 산업적 성공 비즈니스 모델을 제시하였다.

Design of Excess Flow Device for Automotive Cylinder Valve Based on Finite Element Analysis (유한요소 해석을 이용한 자동차 압력 용기 밸브용 과류 방지 장치의 설계)

  • Due to the climate changing, the world's countries are tightening regulations on CO2 and air pollutants emission to solve them. In addition, eco friendly vehicles is increasing to replace automobiles in internal combustion engine. Recently, the government is supporting the expansion of hydrogen refueling infrastructure and localization of core equipment in refueling facilities according to the hydrogen economy road map. In this study, design of the Excess flow limiting device in FCEV cylinder valve using by finite element analysis and performed performance tests on prototype. Major test results as hydrostatic strength, continued operation, operation, pressure impulse, leakage showed that the excess flow limiting device meets the performance requirements according to ISO 12619-2 and ISO 12619-11.

  • In many metropolitan cities around the world, ground and underground transportation networks are saturated due to urbanization. In addition, regulations on carbon emissions to prevent global warming are becoming stricter, and eVTOL, which will be operating in complex cities, is gaining popularity as the next generation of eco-friendly transportation. In this study, the hover lift efficiency and disc loading of eVTOLs for each type were calculated by classifying eVTOLs into following types: multicopter, lift+cruise, and vectored thrust. In addition, using the aerodynamic analysis programs OpenVSP, Fluent and Javaprop, the specific battery energy required for the smooth operation of eVTOL, which will be realized in the near future, was calculated and analyzed base on reports published by Uber and airworthiness authorities of each country.

  • The government is converting the fuel for trucks, one of the causes of PM in Korea, form diesel to LNG. Mobile LNG station are being developed to solve the problems of insufficient charging infrastructure and facilitate the spread of LNG fuel. In this study, QRA was used th calculate the CA of the facility for a secure design prior to the development of the mobile LNG station and to predict the individual/societal risk the scenario. As a result, the danger of mobile LNG station was in ALARP.

  • Efforts by each country to solve the climate change problem continue, and the transition to eco-friendly fuels is a task for mankind to continue. Recently, Jeju Island, where renewable energy resources are relatively abundant, is preparing to demonstrate the technology to produce green hydrogen linked to renewable energy and this study aims to introduce and apply polymer electrolyte water electrolysis devices of advanced foreign companies after comparing domestic and foreign technologies. This study aims to solve domestic safety regulations for water electrolysis devices manufactured overseas and system introduction process and evaluation method of core components.

  • Alternative marine power (AMP) is continuously used in ports and on docks because of regulations on global ship emission reduction. In Korea, the use of AMP is also mandatory under the Special Act on Port Air Quality Improvement, and efforts are under way in connection with various eco-friendly ships, such as electric-propulsion ships. In this study, AC load flow analysis was performed by modeling the situation in which onboard power is supplied through AMP. This analysis made it possible to study the electrical parameters and losses when power was supplied to the ship. In addition, through a transient stability analysis, the high-speed generation transfer limit value for uninterruptible conversion through onboard generators in the event of a system accident was derived. A Study on the Improvement of Selection Method of Safety Distance for Worker in Hydrogen Refueling Station (수소 충전 시설 내 근로자를 위한 안전거리 선정 방법 개선에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, the world's countries are tightening regulations on CO2 and air pollutants emission to solve them. In addition, eco friendly vehicles is increasing to replace automobiles in internal combustion engine. The government is supporting the expansion of hydrogen refueling infrastructure according to the hydrogen economy road map. In particular, refueling station is important to secure the safety that supplies high-pressure hydrogen with a wide LFL range. This paper is on guidelines for the determination safety distances to ensure worker safety from accident as jet fire. The safety distance is set according to the procedure of the EIGA doc 075/21. For accident frequency is upper 3.5E-05 per annum, safety distance is decided via consequence analysis where the risk of harm is below individual harm exposure threshold.

  • The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has strengthened environmental regulations, leading to an increase in demand for LNG-powered ships. To enhance the competitiveness of ports and promote the use of LNG-powered ships, establishing LNG bunkering infrastructure is necessary. However, no ports in Korea currently have such infrastructure. This study used the 2015 regional input-output table to examine the economic impact of establishing LNG bunkering infrastructure in Busan Port, the largest port in Korea. The estimated cost of the project in 2023 was KRW 21.09 billion. The average production, value-added, and employment inducement coefficients were 1.223, 0.372, and 7.58, respectively.

  • The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has adopted several regulations for the prevention of air pollution from ships. In addition, there is a requirement for shipping liners to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Accordingly, we need to take measurements to ensure that the steps taken are both efficient and environmentally friendly. It has been determined that the application of the Miller cycle in diesel engines has the effect of both reducing the amount of NOx and improving thermal efficiency. However, this method requires a considerably larger charge air pressure. Therefore, we consider a two-stage turbo-charging system, which not only results in a high charging pressure, but also improves the part load performance with an exhaust-gas bypass system or the application of the Miller cycle. Because of complications associated with the two-stage turbo-charging system, it is complex and difficult to realize a design that optimizes matching between diesel engine and turbo-chargers. Accordingly, it is necessary to perform a quantitative analysis to determine the effects and optimal conditions of these different systems in the early stage of system design. In this paper, we develop a simulation program to model these systems, and we verify that the results of this program are reliable. Further, we discuss methods that can be employed to improve its efficiency.

Determination of Detention Basin Size for NPS Control in TMDL Area (수질오염총량관리제하에서 친환경 개발사업을 위한 자연형 비점저감시설의 규모 산정)

  • Since 2000, environmental policies and regulations in Korea are rapidly changing to TMDL(Total Maximum Daily Load) and nonpoint source control. This is due to bad water quality in drinking water sources. Although many environmental facilities having high removal efficiency are constructed and applied in nationwide for controling various pollutants from wastewaters, the water quality in rivers is worse and worse because of nonpoint pollution. In fact, TMDL is a new environmental regulation controling total daily loadings from watershed areas. Actually, the nonpoint pollutant is originated from various landuses and its control is based on TMDL regulation. Therefore, this research is performed to determine the size of detention basin to control nonpoint pollutants from resort developing areas. The detention basin is one of best management practices, which is useful for controling pollutants and flooding from the developing areas. However, it should be designed and constructed with cost effective method. Recent 10 years rainfall data are used to determine the size of detention basin. The cost effective size is determined to 7.4mm accumulated rainfall.
