이 연구는 국내외 환경 변화와 관광트렌드 변화에 따른 웰니스와 치유관광의 부상, 국내 치유 휴양관광정책 현황을 살펴보고 국내 해양치유정책의 추진방향을 모색하고자 했다. 기후변화와 고령화, 일과 삶의 균형 추구와 같은 환경 변화 및 융합관광, 슬로우트래블 등의 인기를 배경으로 치유와 휴식에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 국내에는 문체부 복지부 중심의 의료관광, 산림청이 주도하는 산림치유가 활성화되고 있다. 해양치유는 해양과 배후자원을 활용한 치유행위를 말하며 국민의 삶의 질 향상과 산업유성 및 일자리 창출을 목적으로 해양수산부가 추진하고 있다. 해양치유에 대한 낮은 인지도, 사회문화적 여건 미성숙, 법제도적 기반 미비, 해양공간의 특수성과 같은 제약 요인을 고려하여 향후 국내 해양치유정책은 법제도 기반 마련, 공간 및 인프라 구축, 자원 발굴 및 홍보를 중심으로 전개해나가야 할 것이다.

최근 웰니스 문화 및 치유관광에 대한 사회적 수요가 증대되고 있는 가운데 문헌조사 및 사례연구를 통해 치유관광 목적지로서 강원도의 치유관광 여건을 검토하고, 강원도형 치유관광의 발전 과제 및 웰니스 관점의 상품화 방안을 고찰하였다. 조사 결과, 강원 영동권은 자연적 자원을 기반으로 한 우수한 치유기반 여건을 지니고 있는 것으로 파악되었으나, 지자체 간에 치유관광사업의 개발 컨텐츠나 사업 아이템이 중복되거나 계획단계에 머무르고 있어 중복투자를 방지하고 서로 연계하여 시너지 효과를 창출할 수 있도록 유기적인 협력이 요구되는 것으로 조사되었다. 주 사례지로 검토한 고성군의 경우, 실버치유관광으로서의 잠재력이 높은 것으로 분석되었으며, 지역의 특화된 자원과 연계한 테라피 프로그램을 중심으로 치유관광 대상별 웰니스 상품화 전략을 모색하고 강원 영동권의 지역별 강점을 효과적으로 연계 특화시켜 나간다면 실버 및 건강지향형 관광객을 타겟으로 하는 웰니스 관광상품 개발 운영의 지역적 성공 사례로 자리매김 할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

본 연구는 사회적 관광과 복지관광에 대한 선행연구 검토를 통해 해양휴양복지에 대한 개념을 정립하는 한편 국외 해양휴양복지사례 및 국내 문화 관광복지 정책 및 산림휴양복지 정책, 국내 해양휴양관광 실태 분석을 통해 국내 해양휴양복지 발전 여건을 파악했다. 우리나라 국민들은 해양을 통한 휴식 및 휴양에 대한 수요가 높으며 만족도 또한 높아 향후 해양휴양복지 서비스에 대한 수요 또한 높을 것으로 전망된다. 다만 해양관광 관련 정책 중 복지와 관련된 사항은 어업인, 연안 어촌에 집중해 추진되어 왔으며, 전 국민이 해양을 통해 보편적으로 누릴 수 있는 복지 서비스 측면에서는 다루어지지 않았다. 향후 우리나라 해양휴양복지 정책은 해양치유 및 해양휴양 자원을 발굴하고 관련 프로그램을 개발하는 한편, 해양치유를 통한 해양휴양복지 서비스를 누릴 수 있는 공간을 조성하고, 전국민이 해양휴양복지 혜택을 받을 수 있는 법제도적인 기반을 마련해야 한다.

본 연구는 웰니스관광 수요가 증대되고 있는 가운데 관련 문헌연구와 온라인 면접조사를 통해 우리나라와 정책적 유사성을 가진 일본과의 웰니스 관련 관광정책 동향을 비교 분석하여 국내 웰니스관광에 대한 정책적 시사점을 강구하였다. 조사 결과, 웰니스관광 관련 개념은 한일 양국 간 큰 차이는 없으나, 일본의 경우 치유(힐링)관광보다 헬스투어리즘이나 웰니스관광 개념사용이 보편화되어 있는 것으로 나타났다. 웰니스관광정책은 정책주체의 유연성과 정책의 효율성, 관련 인증 및 인력양성 분야는 일본이, 정책의 추진력과 제도적 정비는 우리나라가 보다 체계적인 것으로 분석되었다. 우리나라도 일본의 NPO법인 헬스투어리즘진흥기구나 산림테라피소사이어티 사례와 같이 웰니스관광협의체를 구축하고, 웰니스관광의 체계적 인증 및 관련 인력양성의 질적 관리를 통해 정책의 효율성을 제고할 필요가 있다고 판단되었다. 또한 웰니스관광의 산업화를 위해서는 지역별 특화된 웰니스자원을 유기적으로 연계함으로써 웰니스관광의 치유적 효능과 상품적 가치를 제고시킬 필요가 있으며, 포스트 코로나 시대를 대비한 웰니스관광정책의 방향과 대응전략에 대한 심도있는 분석과 웰니스관광지에 대한 실증적 연구가 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

The healing tourism has been growing rapidly in Korea. This study examines the restoration experience of rural healing tourism by qualitative method. The restoration environment is based on nature, and rural areas are the representative places for nature-based tourism. Therefore, this study aims to explore the meaning of restoration experiences of rural healing tourism. An in-depth interview process was used as the primary qualitative research method for this study. Nine interviews were given and from a thematic analysis of the data, six themes of restoration environments were emerged. The restoration environment of the rural settings are as follows; being away, fascination, extent, compatibility, healing nature, and leisure activity. Attention restoration theory provides a model that helps explain the results of this study. The results of this study can be useful for establishing effective marketing strategies through understanding the restoration environment in rural healing tourism.

Tourism has been widely regarded as a mentally and physically healthy pursuit. Emotional experience can increase the restoration effect of tourism. Thus, recent studies in tourism have paid more attention to the benefits of emotional experiences. This study provides and tests a model that examines the relationship emotional experience as mediating variable between perceived service quality and two outcomes (behavioral intention, subjective well-being). The results of a study with rural healing tourists provide support for the proposed model. Specifically, the results indicate that emotional experience partially mediate the relationship between perceived service quality and satisfaction. The results of this study suggest that emotional experience should be considered as important in rural healing tourism services. The study provides empirical validation that customers do, indeed, identify with service providers, and this, in-turn, provides positive consequences for both the service provider (i.e., behavioral intention) and the customer (i.e., subjective well-being).

The purpose of this study was to identify the factors influencing involvement of rural healing tourism participants. The hierarchical regression analysis was applied for this study. In the first stage, age, educational level, and motivation(physical cure) had a positive effect on involvement. However, Occupation(public officials/faculty staff) had a negative effect on involvement. In the second stage, age, educational level, motivation(physical cure), and propensity to pursue wellness had a positive effect on involvement. In the third stage, age, educational level, propensity to pursue wellness, attention restoration awareness, and rural healing tourism satisfaction had a positive effect on involvement. The results of this study show that not only the characteristics of rural healing tourists, but also positive experiences in healing tourism have the greatest influence on tourists' involvement. The results of this study suggest practical implications for how to effectively increase the degree of tourists' involvement in healing tourism.

국내 치유 연구는 치유에 대한 사회적 관심 증가와 함께 최근 20년 동안 발전해왔다. 치유를 연구하는 분야는 다양하며, 법제화된 자연-기반(natural-based) 치유를 포함한다. 본 연구에서는 KCI와 RISS에 게재된 2,202편의 학술지, 석·박사학위논문 초록을 수집하여 분석하였다. 연구방법은 LDA 토픽모델링을 활용하여 연구의 주제를 분류하였고, 시계열적 논문 발행 추이를 살펴보았다. 연구 결과, 국내 치유 연구의 주제가 5개의 유형과 4개의 매개어로 연결되었음을 규명하였다. 5개의 연구 유형은 "치유관광", "마음·예술치유", "산림치유", "치유공간", "청소년회복치유"였고, 4개의 매개 단어는 "산림", "자연", "문화", "교육"이었다. 또한 국내 치유 연구에서 법제화된 치유 연구만 추출하여 토픽을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 법제화된 치유 연구의 주제 유형이 4개로 분류되었다. 4개의 연구 유형은 "공간환경계획치유", "치유요법실험", "농업교육체험치유", "치유관광요인"이었다. 법제화된 치유에서 연구의 양이 가장 많은 산림치유, 식물을 매개로 유사한 프로그램을 운영하는 치유농업과 정원치유, 해양자원을 활용하는 해양치유의 연구 토픽 또한 분석하였다. 그 결과, 개별 치유 연구만의 독특한 특성을 보여주는 토픽과 모든 치유 연구에서 범용되는 것으로 생각되는 토픽을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 텍스트마이닝의 LDA 토픽모델링을 활용하여 국내 치유시설과 치유프로그램 연구의 전반적 경향을 파악하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

Leisure activity characteristics are related to an individual's stress management as well as quality of life. This study analyzed the relationship between leisure activity characteristics, stress, and quality of life of healing tourists, and analyzed the moderating effect of involvement on rural healing tourism. For this purpose, this study analyzed 658 cases who experienced rural healing tourism. Among the characteristics of leisure activities, the conflict between work and leisure had a positive (+) effect on stress, and that stress had a negative (+) effect on the quality of life. Among the characteristics of leisure activities, social support was found to have a positive (+) effect on the quality of life. In the relationship between stress and quality of life, involvement on rural healing tourism was found to have a moderating effect. The results of this study indicate the importance of social support for work-life balance and leisure, suggesting that daily recovery through rural healing tourism has a positive effect on personal stress management as well as quality of life.
