Data were collected by surveying 149 dementia inpatients and their caregivers. The collected data were analysed through frequency analysis, $X^2$-test, one way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test and t-test. The results were as follows: First, the dementia severity was classified into the severe, moderate and mild dementia by K-MMSE and the dementia types were composed of Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia and the others. The severe dementia group and Alzheimer's disease group included the more aged and more female inpatients. And the severe dementia group was lower self-support of the basic activities of daily living than the mild dementia group. Second, the change motions of the dementia inpatient's clothing differed from the clothing item and dementia severity. That is, the motions for pants were more difficult than those for upper garment. And the motions for severe dementia group were more difficult than those for the mild dementia group. Third, there were significant differences among the three groups by dementia severity and between the male and female dementia inpatient in the clothing behavior. Most of abnormal clothing behaviors were found in the severe dementia group. The positive clothing behaviors appeared in the mild dementia group. The purpose of this study was to identify the participation in activities, emotions, and problem behaviors of elderly people residing in nursing homes. In this observational study targeting 81 elderly patients with dementia, each patient's participation in activities, emotion, and problem behaviors were observed for 4 hours per day with 20 minutes interval, which leads to 6,804 data based on 12 times a day for 7 days. According to this study, 90.1% of the participants were suffering from severe cognitive impairment. Their emotions were scored 4 out of 7. They mainly participated in activities such as sitting or lying down, which had no specific purpose, but they showed the most positive emotion when involved in social activities. The most frequent types of problem behaviors were repetitive behaviors and making noises, and the frequency of their behaviors were different depending on the time. There were significant correlation between cognitive functions, emotions, and problematic behaviors. Therefore, it is necessary to find effective ways to increase participation in activities, induce participation in positive emotional activities, and reduce problem behaviors manifested most prominently each hour of the elderly patients with dementia residing in nursing homes.

As the prevention of dementia is more important than the treatment after the onset, attention has focused on the prevention of dementia in the elderly. For this study based on 11 integrated programs, we analyzed the domestic research trends of dementia prevention programs for the elderly from 2000 to 2018 in the study of Yang Su-gyeong, Ko Bo-sook, and Park Jeong-hwan (2019) We reviewed the literature research on the elderly's dementia prevention program centered on play. By activity type, music, language, and physical activity were 4 (40.0%), respectively, and games, art, and work were 3 (30.0%), respectively. Dance, literature, traditional play, and recreation were 2 (20.0%), and yoga and life were 1 (10.0%), respectively. In this study, for the purpose of exploring the possibility of using the contents of early childhood education in the elderly dementia prevention program, play shows very positive aspects such as physical exercise ability, positive emotions, and emotional characteristics for the elderly. It is considered that if dementia prevention programs are developed using the contents of early childhood education for the elderly, they will be able to utilize leisure time positively while providing continuous services and maintaining group experiences and mental health.
This study conducted a systematic review of evidence-based interventions to confirm the importance of gait in dementia patients and to inform the necessity of various interventions necessary for gait. Based on PRISMA's guidelines and evidence-based intervention, a systematic review were conducted, and papers published in domestic journals for the past 10years were collected, and the dependent variables measured along with the intervention type and gait were analyzed. For data search, research papers from January 2011 to June 2020 were collected through RISS, KISS, the National Library of Korea, and the Library of Congress. The main search terms were 'dementia patient', 'walking', and 'walking ability'. Searched 57 papers on dementia patients and gait that meet the literature selection criteria. Among them, papers overlapping with papers before 2010, papers whose dependent variable is not related to gait ability were excluded, and finally, other than dementia diseases. As for the type of gait intervention, there were many programs related to exercise such as fall prevention and physical activity, and the dependent variables measured along with gait were physically and psychologically diverse. Although domestic studies for dementia patients are conducted in a variety of directions and methods, there are few studies on the improvement of function and gait of the lower extremity part of the body. Therefore, it is necessary to study the multifaceted and various intervention methods for walking in dementia patients.

The purpose of this study was to examine the necessity of collaboration between local community and college, and to develop a sport socialization model through the collaboration of local community and college. It's basically meant to create a leisure culture easily accessible to local residents and to suggest some of the right directions for the symbiotic development of local communities and colleges. As for data collection, a data research analysis was implemented by consulting relevant literature and reports, and a content analysis was additionally carried out. The findings of the study were as follows: A sport socialization model was presented to represent the mutual relationship between local community and college by preparing sport socialization programs(a youth sport program and a dementia-preventive exercise program) that were respectively of circulatory relationship type and of reciprocal type. Sport intervention through the collaboration of local community and college(a youth sport program and a dementia-preventive exercise program) serves to accelerate socialization into sport, which leads, in turn, to socialization via sport and then is followed by desocialization from sport.
