In order to investigate the effects of foliage plants on the changes of indoor thermal- and hygro- environments, experiments were carried out in two rooms with similar physical factors. Changes of indoor environmental parameters according to the existence of plants, their arrangement methods, and the existence of wrapseal for protecting the loss of water from the pot soil were measured during certain periods in winter and summer season, using Pachira aquatica which is widely used as indoor plant and has higher photosynthetic and traspiration rate than other foliage plants. The data suggested that the existence of plants didn't affect directly on the indoor thermal environment, while relative humidity increased about 3~5%, regardless of season, by putting plants which had volume equivalent to 2.4% of room volume. In summer, there was no difference in increasing effect of relative humidity between parallel arrangement with window and spread arrangement in the room, but in winter the former arrangement was more effective than the later.

This study is a narrative depiction of a focusing attitude training experience through a counselor's participation in focusing workshop. Through the story of life, the researchers explored how the participant experienced according to the three - dimensional narrative inquiry space (time, place, interaction). The results of this study is that the contact (self - awareness process) with self - experience through focusing training abled the counselor to facilitate clients' own self-contact during the psychotherapy process and as a result the counselor was able to establish 'relational depth' with clients. Through Focusing experience, the counselor was able to aware bodily feeling 'as it is' which helped the expansion of self with multiple perspectives of life away from fixed own self -frame. The implication of this study is to explore the meaning of the counselor's Focusing attitude and to prepare for the development of Focusing workshops in the future.

In edentulous mandible, implant supported overdenture was considered as a first treatment option. In case of a implant supported telescopic overdenture, sufficient inter-arch space needs for arrangement of artificial teeth and attachment. Passive fit of the implant prosthesis is important factor for preventing mechanical failure. Gold Electroforming System is particularly useful to achieve a passive fit of telescopic attachment and results in precision marginal fit and the small thickness of the coping provides optimal space for narrow inter-arch space. This article presents that application of Gold Electroforming System can provide excellent esthetics and function on four-implant supported telescopic overdenture.

The purpose of this study is to find out the possibility of the healing function of art museums in modern times with the precedent studies and to explore the healing potential specifically. There have been studies on the various healing programs regarding patients with Alzheimer, learning disability, seniors, etc. The researcher approached this study in three aspects, art appreciation, space, communication as healing potential of art museums. These findings will be able to draw more social attention on art museums. Therefore, this study will provide a new perspective on the art museums to people concerned art museums. And it will make the professionals, working for company workers, students and other people suffering under the modern stress, recognize the art museums as a place to look inside in the professionals' own mind and to heal as well as a place for culture and sophistication. These findings will be able to draw more social attention on art museums.

In mixed dentition there exists many empty spaces in the arch due to eruption of permanent teeth and exfoliation of primary teeth. The empty spaces makes it difficult to apply fixed orthodontic appliances. Horseshoe Appliance can be used effectively at this stage, holding the whole dentition in one piece. It covers every surface of erupted teeth and prevents extrusion and rotation of single tooth. By using intermaxillary elastic force, remodeling of the alveolar bone is opposite in each arch. In patients who were treated with horseshoe appliance, forward growth of maxilla, labioversion of maxillary incisors and linguoversion of mandibular incisors were obtained. Minimum downward and clockwise rotation of mandible was shown, so increasing anterior facial height was minimized.

The treatment of a patient with severely worn dentition is often challenging due to loss of vertical dimension and an uneven occlusal plane. To establish a correct occlusal plane and space for prostheses, it is necessary to increase vertical dimension. Occlusal vertical dimension is the vertical position of mandible to maxilla in centric occlusion. McAndrew reported that in spite of the change of the vertical dimension, the altered occlusion would be maintained if the equal occlusal contacts were established in centric relation. Centric relation is defined as an anatomically and physiologically stable, repeatable posture of the mandible and can be considered a most acceptable treatment and reference position. In this case we tried to treat patients with severely worn dentition by the use of centric relation and increased vertical dimension for the space of prostheses.

Synovial chondromatosis developes by metaplasia of synovial cell into chondroblast in synovium of joint. It most commonly involves large joints such as knee or hip, and rarely occurs in shoulder joint. It is often difficult to be diagnosed preoperatively and surgical synovectomy is known to be effective treatment. We encountered a case of synovial chondromatosis with hyaline cartilage forming loose body in subacromial and subdeltoid synovium on the shoulder of a 44-year old female suffered by pain and discomfort. The authors report this case with a review of the relevant literature.

A paradigm of medical industry is changing quickly to u-healthcare according to entry toward an aging society and improvement of quality of life(QoL). The change toward u-healthcare is meaningful since meaning of healthcare is redefined by prevention and management instead of medical service such as diagnosis of disease and treatment. However, the interest about u-healthcare is only concentrated to derivation of new healthcare service, development of medical measurement appliances(Sensors), and integration and standardization of medical information. Therefore, in this paper, the main ai of this study is trying to realize and implement u-healthcare technology through primary philosophies of ubiquitous composition such as Disappear Computing, Invisible Computing, and Calm Computing and development of user-centered technology.

The amount of image data used in medical institution is increasing rapidly with great development of medical technology. Therefore, an automation method that use image processing description, rather than manual macrography of doctors, is required for the analysis large medical data. Specially, medical image registration, which is the process of finding the spatial transform that maps points from one image to the corresponding points in another image, and 3D analysis and visualization skills for a series of 2D images are essential technologies. However, a high establishment cost raise a budget problem, and hence small scaled hospitals hesitate importing these medical visualizing system. In this paper, we propose a visualization system which allows user to manage datasets and manipulates medical images registration using an open source graphics tool - VTK(Visualization Tool Kit). The propose of our research is to get more accurate 3D diagnosis system in less expensive price, compared to existing systems.

There are a number of situations where the oral mucosa can be sucked or pressed to produce relatively banal but clinical distinctive changes. The labial and buccal mucosa and tongue may develop protuberances in areas where a tooth is missing or extra space is present. The mucosa is pressed and sucked into these spaces, thus leading to the development of a fibrous hyperplasia. This case report describes the management of fibrous hyperplasia in oral mucosa. Fibrous hyperplasia can be formed by habitual pressure or suction in oral mucosa. Treatment of fibrous hyperplasia consists of simple excision and, if feasible, elimination of the cause. And habit control is a important factor for preventing recurrence.
