This study was carried out to examine comparison of relating influencing factors on medical service satisfaction between general dental patients and orthodontic patients and to improve quality of the medical services by the treatment type of the visit. The data were collected from 421 patients who visited dental clinics and hospitals in Daegu and Gyeongbuk region, using self-administered questionnaire for the period from Sep 1 to Sep 30, 2015. The multiple regression showed that the medical staff and medical fee were common statistically significant independent variables to influence service satisfaction in both groups, however, fear in the treatment was added to statistically significant variables in only the orthodontic patients. Therefore, based on the provision of high - quality medical services and adequate medical care for patients' satisfaction, comprehensive plans including tailor-made counseling management and reducing the fear of dental treatment for general dental patients should be needed.

다양한 치과 전문분야의 협진 치료가 필요한 환자에서는 심미적인 만족뿐 아니라 기능적이며 장기적 안정을 가져올 수 있는 치료가 전제되어야 한다. 이를 위해서는 분명한 치료목표와 그 목표를 이루기 위한 치료계획을 세우는 것이 선행되어야 한다. 환자와 술자 모두가 만족하는 치료결과를 갖기 위하여 어떠한 치료목표가 필요하며 그 목표를 위하여 치료계획을 세우는 방법과 그 치료과정에 대해 실제 임상증례를 통하여 각 과정을 설명하였다.

Under this thesis, 235 patients with dental problems treated under general anesthesia at the Pediatric Dentistry Clinic of Yonsei Dental College were surveyed and their age distribution, reasons for taking general anesthesia, duration of anesthesia, duration of dental procedure, dental treatment peformed and complications were analyzed. A questionnaire survey was also conducted to analyze degrees of anxiety and satisfaction among their parents according to the parents' age, educational background and experience of general anesthesia, as well as the patients' age and past dental history. Following are the results. 1. When the patients were treated under general anesthesia, the degree of anxiety of their mothers was higher than that of their fathers. It appeared that the higher the parents' educational background was, the less their anxiety. 2. The higher the parents' educational level was, the higher the degree of satisfaction after treatment under general anesthesia. 95 cases (87.2%) responded that they would accept such treatment again, if needed. From the result, dental treatment under general anesthesia causes anxiety for parent but the parent's satisfaction level was high. And that was the way gives good quality of dental service to unmanagable patients.

The purpose of the study was to analyzed the convergence effect of dental insurance knowledge and oral health knowledge on dental insurance recognition satisfaction of adults. Dental health insurance satisfaction recognition, "Need expand the number of treatment subjects of dental treatment" was high, "satisfied cost of dental treatment covered by dental insurance" was low. Dental insurance knowledge was high teeth whitening, orthodontic treatment. Oral health knowledge was high, "the food you eat affects your teeth.". Dental health insurance recognition satisfaction was high when enrolled in private dental insurance. Dental health insurance recognition satisfaction showed a positive correlation with dental health insurance knowledge. Collectively in order to increase the dental health insurance recognition satisfaction, systematic education on dental insurance knowledge and oral health knowledge should be provided.

The purpose of this study was to examine the satisfaction level of orthodontic patients with medical service in a bid to provide information on the diverse needs of orthodontic patients and the improvement of the competitiveness of dental institutions. The subjects in this study were 226 orthodontic patients who visited Y and B dentist's offices respectively located in Busan and Daegu. A survey was conducted from December 3 to 20, 2008, and SPSSWIN 14.0 program was utilized to analyze the collected data. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. As to the reason why they chose the dentist's offices, the greatest group made that choice through the recommendation of people around them(50.7%). Approximately half them(47.8%) tended to talk about grievances when they had any, and the greatest group(58.3%) expected to have a regular set of teeth when they received orthodontic treatment (58.3%). And the largest group(80.9%) expected that treatment to improve their oral health a lot. The greatest group(70.6%) wanted to receive whitening treatment after completing orthodontic treatment. 2. As to factors significantly affecting their satisfaction level with treatment service, satisfaction level with the employees(dental hygienists) had the most significant impact, followed by satisfaction with amenities, medical fee, dentists and friendliness. 3. Their satisfaction level with medical fee exerted the most influence on intention of Recommendation offices they visited to others, followed by satisfaction with dentists and employees(dental hygienists).

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the factors affecting self - esteem of orthodontic patients. The factors affecting the self - esteem of the orthodontic patients were monthly incomes, and the factors influencing the necessity of orthodontic treatment were the highest at 20-25 years of age. The factors affecting the self - esteem of the orthodontic patients were the order of correction (β= 0.186), dental treatment satisfaction (β= 0.236), interpersonal relationship (β= 0.407), and the explanatory power of the model was 27.6%. Based on these results, it is necessary to continuously study the psychological characteristics to improve the recognition of the need for correction of orthodontic patients, the satisfaction of dental treatment, and the interpersonal relationship.

Objectives: This study aimed to investigate the effects of conscious sedation on patient satisfaction with dental treatment. Methods: The survey included questions on the patients' general characteristics, dental treatment fear, anxiety, and satisfaction, and patient evaluation by an observer. Statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 20.0 ver. and data were analyzed using frequency analysis, independent t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multilinear regression analysis. Results: Patients who received conscious sedation therapy showed significantly lower levels of dental fear and anxiety, whereas their dental treatment satisfaction was significantly higher than that of patients who received regular dental treatment (p<0.05). Dental treatment fear, anxiety, satisfaction, and conscious sedation depth were significantly correlated in patients who received conscious sedation therapy (p<0.05). Factors influencing dental treatment satisfaction included age, weight, use of medication, smoking habits, use of conscious sedation therapy, dental treatment fear and anxiety, and conscious sedation depth (p<0.05). Conclusions: Conscious sedation therapy can be an effective method to reduce dental treatment fear and anxiety and improve patient satisfaction.

The purpose of this study was to examine factors related to the satisfaction of dental service in college women. This survey was conducted between March 14, 2014 and April 21, 2014 to investigate the influence on dental care satisfaction in college women. Data were obtained from 412 college women of some areas. At the conclusion of this investigation, as for the correlation analysis between variables affecting college women satisfaction, every variables showed significantly positive relation, and the relation between satisfaction of dental hygienist and satisfaction of hospital environment had the strongest positive relation (p<0.01). To increase the satisfaction in dental clinic, it is necessary to provide the continuing education programs for dental service to dental clinic worker.

The purpose of this study was to examine the use of dental institutions among Chinese students in Korea in an attempt to provide some information on how to make more and better dental services accessible to them. The subjects in this study were Chinese students who were studying in eight different colleges. After a survey was conducted from April 1 to July 15, 2011, the following findings were given: 1. Concerning experiences of using domestic dental institutions, the majority of the respondents never received dental treatment in our country. The most widely used dental institutions were dental clinics, and the most common treatment they received was about dental caries. 2. As for the reason why they didn't receive dental treatment in our country, the biggest group cited the burden of medical cost and time constraints as the reasons. 3. The students who had medical insurance slightly outnumbered those who hadn't. Regarding the necessity of medical insurance, most of them considered that to be necessary, and those who had medical insurance received more dental treatment than the others who hadn't. 4. As to satisfaction with dental treatment, the students who were better at Korean expressed more satisfaction, and those who had medical insurance were better satisfied than the others who hadn't. In conclusion, the medical insurance system should be improved to let Chinese students have medical insurance compulsorily to ensure their efficient use of dental institutions, and every college should offer administrative assistance for health care.
