Comparison of Performance & Jet Fuel Oil Resistance of Joint Sealant Materials for Airside (공항용 조인트 충진재의 성능 및 내유저항특성 비교연구)

  • The joint sealants used in the airside should resist the high temperature of the jet blast and the jet fuel oil spilled when the aircraft is maintained and filled. The material of joint sealant for the airside should be different from that for the road due to these characteristics. Three different kinds of the joint sealant materials were tested in this paper. The materials include the polysulfide, the polyurethane and the silicon. The test results show that the physical properties and the performance of the polysulfide show the high resistance to the jet blast and the jet fuel oil. When the characteristics of the airside considered, the polysulfide may apply in the both of the runway and the apron area, the polyuretane can be applied the taxiway. The use of the silicon sealant is not recommended for the airside.

Effects of Ceramic Fillers on the Physical Properties of Epoxy Moulding Compounds (세라믹 필러가 epoxy molding compound의 물리적 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • 본 연구에서는 에폭시 기지에 충진재료 SiC 분말과 SiC 휘스커 AIN분말을 사용하 여 이들 충진재의 함량 및 형상이 복합재료의 열전도도 열팽창계수 및 유전상수에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 복합재료의 열전도도는 세라믹 충진재의부피분율이 증가함에 따라 비선 형적으로 증가하였으며 휘스커 형상의 충진재를 첨가한 복합재료의 열전도도는 구형 분말의 충진재를 사용한 복합재료에 비해 높게 관찰 되었다. 이러한 현상은 충진재로 사용한 휘스 커가 구형 분말 충진재에 비하여 동일 부피분율에서 상호 접촉할수 있는 확률이 높기 때문 인 것으로 추정된다. 열팽창 계수는 충진제의 부피분율이 증가함에 따라 감소 하는 경향을 보였으며 충진재의 형상이 휘스커 형상인 경우가 구형에 비하여 감소되는 정도가 크게 관찰 되었다.

Effect of Non-Conducting Filler Additions on Anisotropic Conductive Adhesives(ACAs) Properties and the Reliability of ACAs Flip Chip on Organic Substrates (이방성 전도 접착제 물성과 유기 기판 플립 칩의 신뢰성에 미치는 비전도성 충진재의 영향)

  • We investigated the effect of filler content on the thermo-mechanical properties of modified ACA composite materials by incorporation of non-conducting fillers and the reliability of flip chip assembly on organic substrates using modified ACA composite materials. For the characterization of modified ACA s composites with different content of non-conducting fillers, differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), and thermo-gravimetric analyzer (TGA), dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA), and thermo-mechnical analyzer (TMA) were utilized. As the non-conducting filler content increased, CTE values decreased and storage modulus at room temperature increased. In addition, the increase in the content of filler brought about the increase of Tg^{DSC}$ and $Tg^{TMA}$. However, the TGA behaviors stayed almost the same. Contact resistance changes were measured during reliability tests such as thermal cycling, high humidity and temperature, and high temperature at dry condition. It was observed that reliability results were significantly affected by CTEs of ACA materials especially at the thermal cycling test. Results showed that flip chip assembly using modified ACA composites with lower CTEs and higher modulus by loading non-conducting fillers exhibited better contact resistance behavior than conventional ACAs without non-conducting fillers.

Mechanical Properties of NBR Rubber Composites Filled with Reinforced Fiber and Ceramics (강화섬유와 세라믹이 충진된 NBR 고무 복합체의 기계적 물성 특성)

  • In this study, the mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber were evaluated through compounding by controlling filler content to improve the mechanical properties of NBR rubber. Aramid and glass fibers with excellent heat resistance were used as fillers, and ceramics were additionally used in anticipation of a complementary effect, and as for the ceramic materials, needle-shaped and plate-shaped ceramics were used. Each filler was used in an amount of 5.0, 10.0, 15.0, and 20.0 phr in order to investigate the basic properties according to the amount of filler. To confirm the complementary effect through ceramic application, each 10.0 phr fiber and ceramic were mixed with 1:1 ratio to evaluate mechanical properties. As a result, it was confirmed that the decreasing ratio of tensile strength after heat aging was small in the order of aramid fiber, acicular ceramic, glass fiber, and plate ceramic in the case of applying the filler alone. In addition, the mechanical characteristics of vulcanized rubber using composite filler based on fibers and ceramics were evaluated, and it was confirmed that the composite filler had a complementary effect on thermal aging.

  • 수지결합질 탄소재의 사출성형시 중요한 요소는 열유변학적 거동이다. 수지결합질 탄소재의 열유변성, 기계적 물성은 충진제(흑연)의 표면상태에 영향을 받는다. Coupling 처리에 의한 충진제의 표면개질은 binder와의 젖음성과 호환성 등에 영향을 미쳐 수지결합질 탄소재의 특성을 향상시킨다. 본 연구에서는 충진제의 표면개질을 위해 실란 coupling 처리하였다. 충진제의 표면에 코팅된 실라놀은 FT-IR과 침수거동 관찰결과 충진제 표면에 단층으로 코팅되었음을 보였다. Coupling 처리는 충진제 표면에 활성을 가함으로써 수지결합질 탄소재의 열유변학적 거동과 기계적 물성에 기여하였다.

  • Visible-light activated polymer nanocomposites (PNC) were designed to be used for dental restoration. Hybrid-filler composed of barium silicate and nano-sized silica was adopted as a filler system. To improve the interfacial be havior of the resin matrix of bisphenol A glycerolate methacrylate/triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate, the surface of filler was hydrophobically treated with a silane coupling agent. Mechanical properties of PNC were investigated by measuring the abrasion resistance, and it was discovered that PNC showed excellent properties with an increase of nanofiller content. However, the polymerization shrinkage was consistently maintained under 3 vol% and the shrinkage continued even after photo-polymerization. In addition, a slight color difference between PNC specimens was observed with increase of nanofiller content.

  • In this study, VOC analysis method of vehicle interior materials and parts treated to visible-light responsive photocatalyst was tested by sample bag filled with air instead of nitrogen. As a result, when analyzed VOC of vehicle interior materials and parts, sample bag filled with the nitrogen was not confirmed of effect reducing VOCs and formaldehyde. However, VOCs and formaldehyde of sample bag that was filled with air instead of nitrogen, decreased significantly. Reaction effect for visible light-responsive photocatalyst was confirmed that sample bag of vehicle interior materials and parts should be filled with air instead of nitrogen.

  • This study was accomplished to investigate the characteristics of hardening shrinkage and initial creep of epoxy resin concrete depending on the presence of filler. According to the test results, the hardening shrinkage was increased with increment of sLOrage temperature, and the ef¬feel of tempemture on the hardening shrinkage of epoxy resin concrete with 6% filler was more Significant than that of epoxy resin concrete without filler. Also, the initial creep strain was increased with loading times, stress--strength ratio and elastic strain, and the values for opoxy resin concrete with 6 % filler are higher than that for eposy resin concrete without filler.

  • This report Introduces a total heat exchanger in a solar air-conditioning system using Lithium Chloride(LiCl) solution. The hot and humid outside air is cooled and dehumidified by LiCl solution that is sprayed on the packed layer of the total heat exchanger. LiCl solution once diluted is concentrated again in a regenerator using solar energy. Three types as the packed materials were used in this experiment and the dehumidification performance was evaluated by the value of $k_xa(kg/h{\cdot}m^3{\cdot}{\Delta}x)$, overall mass transfer coefficient based on a humidity ratio potential difference, the influence of inlet LiCl solution flow rate, air flow rate, packed layer height on $k_xa$ was investigated. It was found that air flow rate, LiCl solution flow rate, packed layer height for all types had a great influnce on the value of $k_xa$.
