Design and Implementation of the ETRI CHILL-96 Compiler (ETRI CHILL - 96 컴파일러의 설계와 구현)

  • CHILL language has been used for the software development of electronic switching and telecommunications system. ETRI CHILL-96 language is an extended CHILL language with the notions of object-orientation, concurrency, and generic type. In this paper, we discuss some design and implementation issues of ETRI CHILL-96 compiler. Renaming translation rules and function restructuring techniques are adapted for the purpose of preventing name conflict and producing debugging information. Those new extended features are preprocessed in the compilation and translated to extended CHILL intermediate codes. Such compilation technique enables ETRI CHILL-96 language to hold compatibility with software developed by CHILL language.

  • 인터넷으로 연결된 다수의 참여자를 지원하는 대규모 분산 가상 환경을 위한 확장성 있는 예측 기반 동시성 제어 방법을 제안한다. 예측 기반 동시성 제어 방식은 낙관적(optimistic) 방식과 같이 참여자들에게 실시간 상호 작용 성능을 제공함과 동시에 비관적(pesimistic)방식과 같이 잠금 허가를 받은 사용자에게만 객체 조작을 허용하므로 충돌을 확실히 방지할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자 수의 증가에 따른 확장성 있는 예측 알고리즘을 위하여 객체 중심 다중 전송그룹을 도입했다. 객체에 관심있는 객체주변의 사용자들만 객체에 할당된 다중 전송 그룹에 소유권 요청 메시지로서의 참여 메시지를 보냄으로써 소유자 후부가 된다. 현재 소유자는 소유자 후보들 중 다음 소유자를 예측한다. 가상 영역내의 모든 사용자 대신 객체의 할당된 다중 전송 그룹에 소유권 요청 메시지로서의 참여 메시를 보냄으로써 소유자 후보가 된다. 현재 소유자는 소유자 후보들 중 다음 소유자를 예측한다. 가상 영역내의 모든 사용자 대신 객체의 다중 전송 그룹에 참여하고 있는 사용자로부터만 소유권 요청 메시지를 받으므로 소유자가 받는 메시지 수는 가상환경의 전체 사용자의 수에 관계없이 상수값을 갖는다. 이는 소유자의 소유권 요청메세지 처리 시간을 줄여 보다 더 정확한 예측을 하고 사용자의 객체 조작 시간 전에 소유권이 전달되도록한다. 제안한 예측 알고리즘은 라이브러리로 구현되어 기존의 가상 환경 시스템에 적용되었고 실험을 통해 제안한 알고리즘이 대규모 가상 환경에서 갖는 효율성과 확장성을 증명한다.

  • 센서 망에서 비어 있는 공간(홀)은 현실의 다양한 지리적인 환경 때문에 회피하는 것이 쉽지 않다. 일반적으로 데이터 패킷이 홀 경계에 마주쳤을 경우, 목적지까지의 다른 길을 찾기 위해 라이트 핸드 법칙(right hand rule) 또는 푸쉬드 백(pushed back)을 이용하여 홀 경계를 따라 패킷을 전달한다. 한편, 라이트 핸드 룰은 홀 경계에 있는 노드들의 에너지를 더 많이 소모하므로 홀이 확장될 것이다. 또한 동시에 여러 통신 세션이 같은 홀의 경계를 공유한다면 데이터 충돌을 초래할 것이다. 이 논문에서 우리는 무선센서 망에서의 홀 문제를 해결하기 위해 라우팅 홀 우회 방안을 제안한다. 우리의 라우팅 홀 우회 방안은 두 가지 목표를 갖는다: 하나는 데이터 패킷이 홀의 경계를 따라 이동하는 것을 방지하는 것이고, 다른 하나는 로컬 미니멈(local minimum) 문제를 피하는 것이다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 우리의 방안이 다른 프로토콜들에 비해 제어 부하와 에너지 소비 면에서 우수하다는 것을 보여준다.

  • Recently, wireless sensor networks have found their way into a wide variety of applications and systems with vastly varying requirements and characteristics such as environmental monitoring, smart spaces, medical applications, and precision agriculture. The sensor nodes are battery powered. Therefore, the energy is the most precious resource of a wireless sensor network since periodically replacing the battery of the nodes in large scale deployments is infeasible. Energy efficient mechanisms for gathering sensor readings are indispensable to prolong the lifetime of a sensor network as long as possible. There are two energy-efficient approaches to prolong the network lifetime in sensor networks. One is the compression scheme to reduce the size of sensor readings. When the communication conflict is occurred between two sensor nodes, the sender must try to retransmit its reading. The other is the MAC protocol to prevent the communication conflict. In this paper, we propose a novel approaches to reduce the size of the sensor readings in the MAC layer. The proposed scheme compresses sensor readings by allocating the time slots of the TDMA schedule to them dynamically. We also present a mathematical model to predict latency from collecting the sensor readings as the compression ratio is changed. In the simulation result, our proposed scheme reduces the communication cost by about 52% over the existing scheme.

  • The number of motor vehicle registrations in Korea is increasing steadily each year, driven by industry development and economic growth. The number of traffic accidents is also rapidly increasing. Korea has a relatively high number of traffic accidents among OECD member countries, and it ranks among the highest in traffic accident death rates. This death rate is higher compared to death rates as a proportion of the number of traffic accidents in each country. It is very common for drivers to lose consciousness in traffic collisions, which leads to a failure to carry out early emergency measures. In order to prevent such situations as well as hit-and-runs and people left uncared for after traffic accidents, there is a need for motor vehicle black boxes and accident report systems. This study addressed the need for an emergency evacuation system for people injured in traffic accidents and a secondary traffic accident prevention system by developing a motor vehicle emergency situation detection and report system combined with a black box, and materializing it as an actual system.

  • The use of RFID is recently increasing for the realization of Ubiquitous computing. Reducing the process time of tag recognition is crucial as RFID system has to recognize multiple objects in a short amount of time. In this manuscript, therefore, an effective scheme using multi-reader is suggested to improve processing speed for tag authentication in RFID system. According to the result of performance analysis, the processing time required for tag authentication was drastically reduced in multi-reader environment than it was in a single reader. Consequently, the use of the suggested scheme cuts down on the processing time while identifying tags by using multi-reader and bring about overall performnce improvement of RFID system.

  • In this paper, we propose MAC protocol that consists of channel access mechanism and transmission mechanism to support effective wireless packet data service. In channel access mechanism, broadcast channel announces status information of random access channel, and mobile station tries random access based on status information. Also, mobile station has access probability to prevent collision increase due to transmission of short message. For effective transmission, mobile station changes transmission rate based on transmission queue status to adapt burst traffic characteristics. In restricted environments of transmission code and bandwidth, proposed protocol shows better performance than cdma2000 system.

  • FMCW radar, which is widely used as a front collision warning system for vehicles, is now being commercialized. In this study we develope the radar signal processing system using MPC5775K that is specialized for high performance ADAS. That has special features for ADAS such as 10Msps 12bit ADC, 50MHz Radix-4 FFT, CTE(Cross Triggering Engine) for synchronized triggering between DAC and ADC. The baseband processing board is implemented and shows the result in Matlab.

  • This paper investigates the difference of writing requirements between the UCC2. and the UN convention on international sales of goods (CISG). To do it, the U.S writing requirement by statute of frauds was introduced by two sources of laws including common law and UCC${\S}$2-201. Although the U.S. statute of frauds requires some contract to be written with formalities, the way the requirement is satisfied is quite flexible in terms of its formalities. The UCC is more flexible than the common law in its formalities. The CISG does not require the sales contract to be written with any format, which is totally different from the U.S statue of frauds. Such differences between the U.S laws and CISG in writing requirement were investigated in the context of conflicts of laws.

A Design on Collision Avoidance System of Vehicle using Fuzzy Control Algorithms (퍼지제어 알고리즘을 이용한 차량의 충돌방지 시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, we introduce fuzzy algorithm similar to human's way of thinking and designed collision detection system of vehicles. First, before the model vehicles design, we did simulation collision detection using PID and Fuzzy Controller. As a result, P.O that is Percent Overshoot when make use of PID controller happened from smallest 32% to 45%. But, In case of using fuzzy controller they produced about 10% in 7% in case use 25 rule. We designed model vehicles that introduce Auto Guided Vehicle(AGV) with confirmed result in simulation. We set Polaroid 6500 sensor on the front of model automobile because distinguish existence automobile to the head. And we composed motor drive part to run vehicles and 80C196KC processor for control movement of vehicles influenced on distance data of the front vehicles that receive from supersonic waves sensor. In case of using Fuzzy controller, last value percent error happened about maximum 15% in smallest 5%, and we confirmed that distance with front vehicles kept when state hold time is about maximum 16 seconds in smallest 10 seconds.
