An Analysis of the Home Economics Education Discipline Items in the Teacher Recruitment Examination for Secondary School (중등교사 신규임용 후보자 선정 경쟁시험 가정과 교과교육학 출제 문항 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the home economics education items in the teacher recruitment examination for secondary school. To achieve the purpose, all the home economics education items, which were carried out for seven times from the school year 2001 to the most recent year 2007, were compared and analyzed. The form of items was analyzed by frequency and rate. Behavioral domain of items was analyzed by content analysis. In this study, some recommendations were suggested for the quality of home economics education items through discussion of science education and society education items, which were abstracted from the school year 2001 to the most recent year 2007. The results of this study were as follows. First, the score ratio of home economics education items was fluid as 20-30% from the school year 2001 to 2004 but it fixed as 30-35% since the school year 2005. In subcategory of home economics education, curriculum items accounted for highest ratio(43%). In the next thing, items of teaching-learning method(35%), evaluation(19%) and philosophy(3%) related to home economics education were followed in order. Second, the form of home economics education items was coexistent form of single item and subordinate item from the school year 2001 to 2004. But it was changed into form of single item by 100% since the school year 2005. Third, regarding the content of home economics education items, most of the curriculum items were related to the content of the 7th National Curriculum. Teaching-learning method items were taken mostly from model of teaching-learning. Evaluation items were taken mostly from performance assessment. Philosophy items related to home economics education were taken only from Habermas's three systems of action on the school year 2005. Fourth, about behavioral domain of home economics education items, most of the curriculum items were level of 'simple knowledge or memory'. Therefore, it was suggested that behavioral domain of curriculum items had to be changed into 'complex knowledge or comprehension and application'. The behavioral domain of teaching-learning method items and education evaluation items was mostly 'complex knowledge or comprehension and application'. However, to bettering the items it was suggested that the behavioral domain of them has to be changed 'comprehension' into more 'application'. Fifth, regarding the coverage of home economics education items, curriculum items were limited only superficial content of the 7th National Curriculum. Therefore, it was suggested that coverage of curriculum items had to be extended to theoretical content, which was philosophical background and various principles of curriculum. It was suggested that coverage of teaching-learning method items had to be extended to the content including various teaching-learning theories and the practical reasoning home economics instruction proved effective as home economics instruction recently. Evaluation items were taken mostly from performance assessment. Therefore, it was suggested that coverage of evaluation items had to be extended to analysis of evaluation result, item validity and reliability, and evaluator's philosophical perspective.

Analysis of Keywords and Language Networks of Pedagogical Problems in the Secondary-School Teacher's Employment Exam : Focusing on the 2019~2022 School Year Exam

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze and present keywords, trends, and language networks of keywords for each year of the pedagogical exam of the secondary teacher's employment exam for the 2019~2022 school year. The main research methods were text mining technique and language network analysis method, and analysis programs were KrKwic, Wordcloud Maker, Ucinet6, NetDraw, etc. The research results are as follows; First, keywords such as teacher, student, curriculum, class, and evaluation appeared in the top rankings, and keywords (online, wiki, discussion ceremony, information, etc.) that reflect the recent online class progress in the current COVID-19 situation also tended to appear. The keywords with high frequency of occurrence in the four-year integrated text were student(44), teacher(39), class(27), school(18), curriculum(16), online(10), and discussion method(8). Second, the overall language network of the keywords with high frequency of 4 years showed a significant level of density(0.566), total number of links(492), and average degree of links(16.4). The degree centrality was found in the order of teacher(199.0), class(197.0), student(185.0), and school(150.0). Betweenness centrality was found in the order of teacher(30.859), class(18.956), student(16.054), and school (15.745). It is expected that the results of this study will serve as data to be considered for preparatory teachers, institutions and related persons, and teachers and administrators of secondary school teacher training institutions.

A Study on Learning Evaluation Method by Using Fuzzy Theory (퍼지이론을 이용한 학습 평가 방법에 관한 연구)

  • With the data base subject of first grade paper test of information handling technician, We proposed special method of evaluating learning ability directivity to judge that student can understand the contents of each chapter exactly or not, using assigned function and fuzzy deduction in this thesis. Using fuzzy logic, the proposed method of evaluating learning ability is dividing the presenting frequency of setting questions for examination about the subject of database into three rank and we can define this as the important. We applied the fuzzy assigned rate about the number of times of studying through the important of studying and the fuzzy assigned rate about formative evaluation to each of nine fuzzy deduction theories and than evaluated comprehension rate of learning. With the fuzzy grade about learning comprehension of each chapter and assigned rate about the score of generalized evaluation; We applied these two thing to the deduction rule of fuzzy and made it as defuzzifier and finally evaluated learning. We made that the result of eventual evaluating learning is very useful for learners to diagnosis learned contents by themselves and also it can be great material to judge that learners can get the goal of learning or not synthetically.

An analysis of current condition of student's selection process in Hansung science highschool (한성과학고등학교 학생 선발과정의 현황 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to acquire the information on the current situation of students' selection process in order to renovate the system of picking up the students. As a first step of the study, we examined the validity of the factors of the single-out system such as qualification and the process for the application and the standards and proceeding of the selection. Then we analysed the result of the entrance examination of Hansung Science Highschool in 2002. The analysis was on the correlation between the result of entrance examination and the achievement in the school and the decision of the course after graduation. To know on the achievement of the students, we investigated the records of regular tests and asked the teachers' opinion in math and science classes. As a result, we gained the following points: First, the present single-out system has a danger of excluding students who are much talented in science and math field because it is based on students' achievements in middle schools; Second, the new selection system should consider the character and attitude of the applicants in addition to their knowledge; Third, the continuous observation of the teacher in middle school should be an important factor of the picking up system; Fourth, more questions requiring divergent thinking ability and inquiry skill should be developed as selective examination question. Also examination questions should cover the various contents from mathematics to science, and do not affect pre-learning; Finally, the system of present letting all students stand in one line should be changed into that of letting students in various lines. We can consider using multi-step selection system.
