A Usability Testing of the Word-Prediction Function of the AAC Keyboard for the People with Cerebral Palsy (보완대체의사소통(AAC) 글자판의 단어예측기능에 대한 뇌병변장애인 대상의 사용성 평가)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine (1) the influence of the word-prediction function on the sentence generation speed and (2) the necessity, convenience, and satisfaction of the word-prediction function of the AAC keyboard. A total of 10 adults with cerebral palsy participated and the word-prediction function of the Korean high-tech AAC device called "MyTalkie Smart" keyboard was used for this study. Participants were required to generate sentence as voice outputs using a word-prediction function and letters direct-input function respectively, then they were required to evaluate the necessity, convenience, and satisfaction using a five-point Likert scale. Other user requirements were examined using a free feedback. The results of this study presented that the sentence generation speeds were faster when participants used a word-prediction function than using a letters direct-input function. However, there was no statistically significant difference between these two input methods, and it might be due to the lack of time to practice the new device. Participants showed positive responses for the necessity, convenience, and satisfaction of the word-prediction function.

A 800MHz~5.8GHz Wideband CMOS Low-Noise Amplifier (800MHz~5.8GHz 광대역 CMOS 저잡음 증폭기 설계)

  • This paper presents a wideband low-noise amplifier (LNA) covering 800MHz~5.8GHz for various wireless communication standards by utilizing in a 0.13um CMOS technology. Particularly, the LNA consists of two stages to improve the low-noise characteristics, that is, a cascode input stage and an output buffer with noise cancellation technique. Also, a feedback resistor is exploited to help achieve wideband impedance matching and wide bandwidth. Measure results demonstrate the bandwidth of 811MHz~5.8GHz, the maximum gain of 11.7dB within the bandwidth, the noise figure of 2.58~5.11dB. The chip occupies the area of $0.7{\times}0.9mm^2$, including pads. DC measurements reveal the power consumption of 12mW from a single 1.2V supply.

  • Duties required for naval ship such as anti-submarine, anti-ship, and supply, etc are diversified, so the ECS (Enfineering Control System) is required for executing the mission effectively. The ECS monitors and controls the propulsion system in order that naval ship can perform the mission. As the in-country development of ECS is progressed, a test system for ECS is needed, and a naval ship propulsion system simulator based on CODOG was developed on this study. The naval ship propulsion system simulator based on CODOG which is divided into gas turbine model, diesel engine model, reduction gear model and controllable pitch propeller model, simulates to feedback of control commands of ECS. As a result of the experiment, it is able to confirm speed, torque and power, etc. of the gas turbine, diesel engine and shaft according to ECS propulsion mode.

  • Today`s education is in the 7th education curriculum. But, there is nothing that can be used in the classroom as a tool for education supplement. Easylab is a GUI-programing tool for students who not good at using computers. EasyLab is used in the classroom as a kind of tool to give a rise to ingenuity and creation which need at present education curriculum. When use it, first, learners think of programming-ideas, then program through icon-based software-EasyLab. After programing, the leaner can see the result directly thorough the programing code which are delivered by EasyRobot. So, leaner can study and discuss with the robot`s result. If, the result is incorrect, the robot will do a feedback as a kind of rule. One of the EasyLab`s specific property is that consisted icon-based flow-chart model. And leaner can practice with the robot that have input and output sense.

  • Analysis of a specific wavelength band of a video signal is an old research field. However, studies on the analysis of signals having the characteristics of a specific wavelength band or the generation of samples have been conducted actively in recent years. In this paper, we analyze the signal of digital halftoned image. The interpretation of halftoning in terms of signals was first made by Ulichney. We have come to the view that the signal characteristics between pixels used for half toning are good for blue noise. Lau has developed a halftoning method that uses green-noise characteristics by using output-dependent feedback as an error diffusion method. Jho has developed a method for producing halftoned images using a reaction diffusion model. In this paper, we analyze reaction diffusion halftoning in terms of signal to show green noise and compare it with existing green noise half tone.

  • A high-intensity ultrasound wave generates acoustic streaming and acoustic radiation forces when propagating through a medium. An acoustic radiation force generated in a three-dimensional space can produce a solid tactile sensation, delivering spatial information directly to the human skin. We placed 154 ultrasound transmit elements with a frequency of 40 kHz on a concave circular dish, and generated an acoustic radiation force at the focal point by transmitting the ultrasound wave. To feel the tactile sensation better, the transmit elements were excited by sine waves whose amplitude was modulated by a 60 Hz square wave. As an application of ultrasonic tactile sensing, a region where tactile sense is formed in the air is used as an indicator for the position of the hand. We confirmed the utility of ultrasonic tactile feedback by implementing a system that provides the number of fingers to a machine by receiving the shape of the hand at the focal point where the tactile sense is detected.

  • In this paper, an algorithm for determining the coagulant input rate in the drug-injection tank during the process of the water purification plant was derived through big data analysis and prediction based on artificial intelligence. In addition, analysis of big data technology and AI algorithm application methods and existing academic and technical data were reviewed to analyze and review application cases in similar fields. Through this, the goal was to develop an algorithm for determining the coagulant input rate and to present the optimal input rate through autonomous driving simulator and pilot operation of the coagulant input process. Through this study, the coagulant injection rate, which is an output variable, is determined based on various input variables, and it is developed to simulate the relationship pattern between the input variable and the output variable and apply the learned pattern to the decision-making pattern of water plant operating workers.

  • In the design and development process of Small-Sat power distribution and transmission module, the stability of dynamic resources was evaluated by a deep learning algorithm. The requirements for the stability evaluation consisted of the power distribution function of the power distribution module and demand module to the SAR radar in Small-Sat. To verify the performance of the switching power components constituting the power module PDM, the reliability was verified using a dynamic neural network. The adoption material of deep learning for reliability verification is the power distribution function of the payload to the power supplied from the small satellite main body. Modeling targets for verifying the performance of this function are output voltage (slew rate control), voltage error, and load power characteristics. First, to this end, the Coefficient Structure area was defined by modeling, and PCB modules were fabricated to compare stability and reliability. Second, Levenberg-Marquare based Two-Way NARX neural network Sigmoid Transfer was used as a deep learning algorithm.

Validation Technique of Trace-Driven Simulation Model Using Weighted F-measure (가중 F 척도를 이용한 Trace-Driven 시뮬레이션 모델의 검증 방법)

  • As most systems get more complicated, system analysis using simulation has been taken notice of. One of the core parts of simulation analysis is validation of a simulation model, and we can identify how well the simulation model represents the real system with this validation process. The difference between input data of two systems has an effect on the comparison between a simulation model and a real system at validation stage, and the result with such difference is not enough to ensure high credibility of the model. Accordingly, in this paper, we construct a model based on Trace-driven simulation which uses identical input data with the real system. On the other hand, to validate a model by each class, not by an unique statistic, we validate the model using a metric transformed from F-measure which estimates performance of a classifier in data mining field. Finally, this procedure enables precise validation process of a model, and it helps modification by offering feedback at the validation phase.

  • The reactive web service provides a related word recommendation system using the TextRank algorithm and a word-based idea generation service selected by the user. In the related word recommendation system, the method of weighting each word using the TextRank algorithm and the probability output method using SoftMax are discussed. The idea generation service discusses the idea generation method and the artificial intelligence reinforce-learning method using mini-GPT. The reactive web discusses the linkage process between React, Spring Boot, and Flask, and describes the overall operation method. When the user enters the desired topic, it provides the associated word. The user constructs a mind map by selecting a related word or adding a desired word. When a user selects a word to combine from a constructed mind-map, it provides newly generated ideas and related patents. This web service can share generated ideas with other users, and improves artificial intelligence by receiving user feedback as a horoscope.
