An Adaptive Colorimetry Analysis Method of Image using a CIS Transfer Characteristic and SGL Functions (CIS의 전달특성과 SGL 함수를 이용한 적응적인 영상의 Colorimetry 분석 기법)

  • Color image sensors (CIS) output color images through image sensors and image signal processing. Image sensors that convert light to electrical signal are divided into CMOS image sensor and CCD image sensor according to transferring method of signal charge. In general, a CIS has RGB output signals from tri-stimulus XYZ of the scene through image signal processing. This paper presents an adaptive colorimetric analysis method to obtain chromaticity and luminance using CIS under various environments. An image sensor for the use of colorimeter is characterized based on the CIE standard colorimetric observer. We use the method of least squares to derive a colorimetric characterization matrix between camera RGB output signals and CIE XYZ tristimulus values. We first survey the camera characterization in the standard environment then derive a SGL(shutter-gain-level) function which is relationship between luminance and auto exposure (AE) characteristic of CIS, and read the status of an AWB(auto white balance) function. Then we can apply CIS to measure luminance and chromaticity from camera outputs and AE resister values without any preprocessing. Camera RGB outputs, register values, and camera photoelectric characteristic are used to analyze the colorimetric results for real scenes such as chromaticity and luminance. Experimental results show that the proposed method is valid in the measuring performance. The proposed method can apply to various fields like surveillant systems of the display or security systems.

  • 본 논문에서는Akl-Meijer가 설계한 랜덤 치환 발생기를 일반화한 알고리즘을 제안한다. Akl과 Meijer는 사이즈가 m인 치환(Permutation)과 0과 m!-1사이의 정수를 일대일 대응시키는 Knuth의 알고리즘을 이용하여, 선형 합동법 Y=X+C mod m! (C는 상수)에서 발생되는 난수와 일대일 대응되는 치환을 발생하는 치환 발생 알고리즘을 설계하였으며, 이를 응용하여, 이진 난수 발생기를 제시하였다. 본 논문에서는 선형 합동법 Y=AX+C mod m!(A, C는 상수)에서 발생되는 난수와 일대일 대응되는 치환 계산과정을 상삼각 행렬(Upper triangular matrix) 의 곱으로 변환하여 고속으로 계산하는 알고리즘을 제시한후, 이 알고리즘의 출력 치환을 n 개 결합하여 치환을 발생하는 랜덤치환 발생기를 설계한다. 또한 이의 암호적인 응용으로, 치환 발생기를 이용한 이진 난수 발생기를 제시한다.

Color Laser Printer Forensics Algorithm through Analyzing Noise Characteristics Co-occurrence (인쇄기기별 노이즈 특성의 빈도 분석을 통한 컬러 레이저프린터 판별 알고리즘)

  • 고성능의 보급형 디지털 영상장비와 레이저프린터의 보급으로 인해 인쇄물의 불법적인 위변조가 사회적 문제로 대두되고 있고, 관련 범죄 또한 증가하는 추세이다. 이에 따라 디지털 포렌식 기술에 기반한 촬영 및 인쇄기기 식별 기술들이 연구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인쇄기기별 특성에서 기인하는 인쇄물의 노이즈 특성을 이용해 인쇄기기를 판별하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 이산 웨이블릿 변환과 위너 필터를 이용한 노이즈 특성 추출 방법을 설명하고, 추출된 노이즈 특성에서 명암도 동시발생 행렬을 계산하고 왜도, 첨도, 공분산, 상관계수의 특징을 추출하였다. 추출한 특징을 서포트 벡터 머신에 적용하여 디지털 인쇄기기의 제조사와 모델을 판별하였다. 제안한 알고리즘의 성능을 분석하기 위하여 7대 프린터에서 각 371장씩 출력된 총 2,597장 이미지로 실험하였고, 제안한 알고리즘이 기존 방법에 비하여 높은 정확률을 나타냄을 보였다.

Robust H∞ Fuzzy Control for Discrete-Time Nonlinear Systems with Time-Delay (시간 지연을 갖는 이산 시간 비선형 시스템에 대한 H∞ 퍼지 강인 제어기 설계)

  • In this paper, a robust $H\infty$ stabilization problem to a uncertain discrete-time nonlinear systems with time-delay via fuzzy static output feedback is investigated. The Takagj-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy model is employed to represent an uncertain nonlinear system with time-delayed state. Then, the parallel distributed compensation technique is used for designing of the robust fuzzy controller. Using a single Lyapunov function, the globally asymptotic stability and disturbance attenuation of the closed-loop fuzzy control system are discussed. Sufficient conditions for the existence of robust $H\infty$ controllers are given in terms of linear matrix inequalities via similarity transform and congruence transform technique. We have shown the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method through the simulation.

  • A transformation methode of the chromaticity coordinates was proposed to calibrate the measured data obtained by a urine analysis system which implemented in our previous study. Generally. the reacted color of a reagent strip by urine analysis system often exhibit the color distortions due to nonlinear characteristics of the various devices that is the optic module mechanism. hardware, and surround circumstance. A color correction method for minimizing the color distortion play a few role in maintaining high accuracy and reproduction of the urine analysis system. In this work, we used the compensation method such as the shading correction, the characteristic curve extraction of RGB color by means of third order spline interpolation, and linear transformation using a reference color. In addition, 1931 CIE XYZ color space was used to compensate the color of the measured data by a standard reference system as colorimeter. A compensation matrix was obtained so that the output values of the urine analysis system is nearly equal to that of a standard reference system for identical color sample. Color correction obtained by a urine analysis system which implemented in our previous study exhibited a good color accuracy when it was compared with the reference data. Observed result from an experiments on ten items or a urinalysis strip that color difference or between two urine analysis system was 1.28.

  • This paper proposes a half-silvered mirror display system designed to demonstrate useful information about things on display into the air. It helps the spectators gain quick access to information near the area where the things are put on display. This paper deals with three matters: First, tracking based on camera images created in real time enables the provision of information about the things that are both still and moving. Second, as information is output based on the real-time coordinates of things on display, the parallel processing-based tracking algorithm is used to ensure smooth transfer. Third, a half-mirror is placed in front of the display area to establish an augmented reality system and visual distortion caused by mirror angle is adjusted by the reflection transformation matrix. The objectives of this system are to arouse the spectators' interest in things on display and offer easy and quick access to information about them.

  • Industrial equipment, such as power plant, is required to operate reliably, continuously and economically under rather severe conditions of temperature, stress, and enbironment. To test structural integrity and fitness, ultrasonic nondestructive testing is used because of effectiveness and simplicity. In this paper, wavelet transform based least mean square(LMS) algorithm is applied to reduce the influence of the interference occurring between randomly positioned small scatters. The RUN test is performed to check the nonstationarity of the speckle noise signal. The performance of this new approach is compared with that of the time domain LMS algorithm by means of condition numbers, signal-to-noise ratio and 3-D image. As a result, the wavelet transform based LMS algorithm shows better performance than the time domain LMS algorithm in this experiment.

  • This paper propose a new generation method of GRM coefficients using the circulation property of polarity over GF(3). The general method to derive GRM coefficients are obtain the filled polarity of GRM coefficients using RM expansion and expand it for the polarities. Since the general method has many operations when the number of the variables are incremented. Proposed method in this paper simplifies the generation procedure and reduces a number of operators compare to parallel type because of the cyclic property of polarity. Comparing to the proposed papers, the proposed method use only adders without multiplier. So it improves the complexity of the system with efficient composition of the circuits.

Deep Learning based Frame Synchronization Using Convolutional Neural Network (합성곱 신경망을 이용한 딥러닝 기반의 프레임 동기 기법)

  • This paper proposes a new frame synchronization technique based on convolutional neural network (CNN). The conventional frame synchronizers usually find the matching instance through correlation between the received signal and the preamble. The proposed method converts the 1-dimensional correlator ouput into a 2-dimensional matrix. The 2-dimensional matrix is input to a convolutional neural network, and the convolutional neural network finds the frame arrival time. Specifically, in additive white gaussian noise (AWGN) environments, the received signals are generated with random arrival times and they are used for training data of the CNN. Through computer simulation, the false detection probabilities in various signal-to-noise ratios are investigated and compared between the proposed CNN-based technique and the conventional one. According to the results, the proposed technique shows 2dB better performance than the conventional method.

A Recursive Estimation Algorithm for FIR System Using Higher Order Cumulants (고차 큐뮬런트를 이용한 FIR 시스템의 회귀 추정 알고리듬)

  • In this paper, a recursive estimation algorithm for FIR systems is proposed using the 3rd and 4th order cumulants. To obtain the Overdetermined Recursive Instrumental Variable(ORIV) method type algorithm, we transform the 3'th and 4'th order cumulant relationship to a certain matrix form which is consist of only output data. From the matrix form, we induce the proposed algorithm procedure following the ORIV method. The proposed algorithm provides improved estimation accuracy with smaller data and can be applied to a time varying system as well. In addition, it reduces the estimation error due to the additive Gaussian noise compared to conventional 2'rd order based algorithms since it only uses higher than 2'rd order cumulant. Simulation results are presented to compare the performance with other HOS-based algorithms.
