본 논문에서는 LCD 공정의 효율적인 관리를 위한 방법으로서 품질마이닝 시스템의 설계/개발 그리고 운영방법론을 논하고자 한다. 주요내용으로는 주요공정의 탐색, 설비유의차분석, 공정최적화 및 recipe 최적화, 수율 및 주요특성의 추정/예측 등을 들 수 있다. 이를 위하여 다양한 데이터마이닝 도구와 통계적 모형의 적절한 활용 방법을 논하고자 한다. 또한, 실제현장 중심의 개발사례를 통하여 품질마이닝 시스템의 유용성을 기술하였다.

In this paper we examine long-term memory of the financial time-series by employing the R/S analysis, the Hurst exponent estimation, and the modified R/S analysis. The null hypothesis of white-noise is tested using the NYSE daily indexes from January 1966 to July 1998, and the results show that long-range dependence exists before the apparent structural break of the Black Monday in 1987.

Reliable frequency estimation is important for active power control, load shedding and generator protection. Thereby, frequency estimation is researched and some algorithms is proposed. This paper analyzed strength and weakness of each algorithms through comparative analysis of frequency estimation. Used algorithms are Zero Crossing detection, Discrete Fourier Transformation, Least Error Squares.

In this paper, we propose a new method of parameter est mat ion which modifies the exponentially weighted RLS (WRLS) method using asliding window. It can be used in adaptive control for a class of linear tine varying system. Computer simulations show that our new method tracts rapidly time varying parameters more effectively than WRLS.

A fast stereo algorithm for 3D depth estimation is presented. We propose an on-line stereo matching technique, by which the flows of stereo image signals are dynamically controlled to satisfy the matching condition of intensity functionals. The disparity is rapidly estimated from the control of. the signal flows and 3D depth is determined from the disparity.

판소리의 특질을 연구하기 위하여 여덟 명창의 소리를 분석하였다. 그 결과 모두에게서 유성음임에도 불구하고 비주기성인 소리를 찾았다. 이러한 현상은 매우 높은 성대밑 공기압에 기인한다고 보았다. 이 비주기성 유성음은 명창들의 일반 대화에서도 나타나서 이러한 현상이 곧 성대의 영구적인 변화에 의한 것임을 추정할 수 있었다. 또한 판소리에서 나타나는 vibrato는 서양의 오페라에 비해 주기가 훨씬 길고 범위는 훨씬 넓음이 확인되었다. 그 외에도 모든 명창의 경우 고주파수 영역에서 매우 높은 에너지를 보여주어서 일반인의 발성과 차이가 남을 알 수 있었고, 특히 일부 명창의 경우는 1000Hz 바로 이하에서 유별나게 강한 harmonics가 나타나서 서양 음악의 소위 singer's formant와 대조를 이루었다.

Static variations of cutting forces are estimated using spindle motor current. Static sensitivity of spindle motor current is higher than feed motor current. The linear relationship between the cutting force and RMS value of the spindle motor current is obtained. Using cutting force estimation, tool overload in milling process can be well detected, and cutting force is regulated at a constant level by feedrate adaptive control.
