Improving the Performance of Adaptive Feedback Cancellation in Hearing Aids (보청기에서 적응궤환제거의 성능 향상)

  • In this paper, two methods were proposed to improve the performance of adaptive feedback cancellation in hearing aids. One is “Orthogonality principle acoustic feedback cancellation method(Orthogonality principle method)” to track optimal solution with monitoring the instantaneous gradient, the other is a method using the CLMS algorithm(CLMS method). In many simulation conditions, adaptive feedback cancellation method proposed in this paper was much better than Greenberg method by Sum-method LMS algorithm which is known the most excellent method by now in case of system mismatch, SNR and segmental SMR. Also. Orthogonality principle method is as good as CLMS method in terms of adaptive feedback cancellation in many simulation conditions.

  • 센서네트워크는 넓은 지역에 무선 인프라로 묶여 설치된 센서들을 사용하여 상황 인지로 감지된 데이터를 응용서비스 서버와 연동하는 기술이다. 이는 환경 감시, 대상 추적, 환자 모니터링, 군사적 목적 등 매우 다양한 분야에 사용될 수 있다. 센서네트워크 역시 기존 네트워크에서 필요로 하는 보안 기능을 요구한다. 그러나 센서네트워크에 사용되는 노드들이 사용할 수 있는 자원에 제약이 있어, 기존의 암호기술을 그대로 적용하는데 어려움이 있다. 이러한 센서네트워크에서의 키 분배 문제를 해결하기 위하여 인증센터를 사용하는 기법, 랜덤 키 사전 분배 기법, q-합성수 랜덤 키 사전 분배 기법, Blom 스킴, 위치 기반 키 사전 분배 기법 등이 제안되어 있다. 한편, 공개키 연산의 많은 부하로 인하여 공개키 기법을 센서네트워크에 적용하기에 적합하지 않으리라 여겨져 왔으나, 최근의 연구결과들에 의하면 PKI처럼 복잡한 시스템을 구현하는 것은 부적합할지라도 공개키를 이용한 키 분배 기법을 센서네트워크에 적용하는 것이 실효성이 있다는 것을 보여준다. 본 논문에서는 TinyOS 플랫폼에서 공개키를 이용하여 센서 노드 간 상호 인증 및 세션키를 생성하여 암호 데이터 통신을 수행하는 센서네트워크 플랫폼을 구현한 결과를 제시한다.

Analysis and Recognition of Behavior of Medaka in Response to Toxic Chemical Inputs by using Multi-Layer Perceptron (다층 퍼셉트론을 이용한 유해물질 유입에 따른 송사리의 행동 반응 분석 및 인식)

  • In this paper, we observe one of the aquatic insect, fish(Medaka)'s behavior which reacts to giving toxic chemicals until lethal conditions using automatic tracking sl$.$stem. For the result, we define the Pattern A is a normal movement of fish and Pattern B is after giving the chemicals. In order to detect the movement of fish automatically, these patterns are selected for the training data of the artificial neural networks. The average recognition rates of the pattern B are remarkably increased after inputs of toxic chemical(diazinon) while the Pattern A is decreased distinctively. This study demonstrates that artificial neural networks are useful method for detecting presence of toxicoid in environment as for an alternative of in-situ behavioral monitoring tool.

Results of Satellite Tag Monitoring and a Preliminary Study of the Influence of Sea Surface Temperature on a Rehabilitated Finless Porpoise Neophocaena asiaeorientalis in Korea (위성추적장치를 이용한 구조치료 상괭이(Neophocaena asiaeorientalis)의 이동 모니터링 결과 및 표층수온과의 관계)

  • Little is known about the movements of finless porpoises Neophocaena asiaeorientalis and their relationship with sea surface temperature (SST). A female finless porpoise that was stranded alive on the shore at Busan was rehabilitated for 16 months at the Sea Life Busan Aquarium. The porpoise was released off Geoje Island with a satellite tag on her mid-ridge and tracking data were received for 7 days. The porpoise moved directly to the southern shore of Gadeok Island, where an earlier study reported that finless porpoises were most abundant around the island. The tracking route revealed two other potential primary habitats. The porpoise moved to the middle of the east coast of the Korean Peninsula at Uljin, beyond the distribution boundary known from earlier studies. Satellite infrared images detected a cold water mass off the Uljin coast and the tracking route showed that the porpoise avoided this low-temperature area.

  • 홍수예경보는 강우로 인하여 발생되는 홍수의 규모와 시간을 가능한 한 정확하고 빨리 예측하여 홍수에 대비할 수 있도록 유관기관 및 지역주민에게 사전에 홍수에 관한 정보 즉 예측되는 수위와 시간을 제공함으로써 홍수로부터의 피해를 최소화하는 것이다. 이와 같은 목적을 성공적으로 완수하기 위해서는 홍수시 급변하는 하천유량에 영향을 미치는 모든 수문학적 기상학적 자료를 신속 정확하게 수집할 수 있는 관측 시스템의 구축 뿐 아니라 이들 수집된 자료를 이용하여 실시간 홍수추적을 할 수 있는 효율적인 유출량 계산모형이 조화를 이룰 때 가능하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 중 소하천에서 홍수예경보를 위한 지능형 U-River 시스템의 실시간 모니터링 기술을 조사하고 하천수위를 이용한 예측시스템에 대해 연구하였다. 기존의 홍수예경보의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 간단한 입력자료만으로 홍수예측이 가능한 인공지능 기반의 신경망 모형을 이용 하였으며, 예측 모형의 효율성과 적용성을 높이기 위해 유사한 수문 사상을 가지는 상 하류간 입력 자료를 동시에 사용하였다. 또한 하천수위를 이용한 모델의 수행은 각 지점별 훈련성과를 토대로 최적의 은닉층 노드수를 선발하여 실시간 수위예측에 활용하였으며 수치적 기준을 적용하여 실측 수위와 모형에 의해 예측된 수위를 이용하여 평가하였다.

ENC optimizer customize based on Korea Ocean's ENC data by Investigators of the National Marine.Based on the modification of K-Map ENC through enhancemen to fENC Web OCX module and ENC Optimizier, AIS service by WebWM Shad been developed. WebVMS make it possible to view the ship information anywherevia WebBrowser.   • The missing child problem is no more a personal problem. It became a social problem that all parents must consider. To this, this study applies USN/RFID technology integrated with GIS for the prevention of missing child. Although RFID is not designed for location sensing, but now it is regarded as a device to facilitate real time location awareness. Such advantages of RFID can be integrated with 4S(GIS/GPS/LBS/GNSS) achieving much synergy effects. In order to prevent kidnapping and missing child, it is necessary to provide a missing child preventing system using a ubiquitous computing system. Therefore, the missing child preventing system has been developed using high-tech such as RFID, GPS network, CCTV, and mobile communication. The effectiveness of the missing child prevention system can be improved through an accurate location tracking technology. This study propose and test a location sensing system using the active RFID tags. This study verifies technical applied service, and presents a system configuration model. Finally, this paper confirms missing child prevention system utilization possibility.

  • We proposed a realtime object tracking system that detects the abandoned or disappeared objects. Because these events are caused by human, we used the tracking based algorithm. After the background subtraction by Gaussian mixture model, the shadow removal is applied for accurate object detection. The static object is classified as either of abandoned objects or disappeared object. We assigned monitoring time to the static object to overcome a situation that it is being overlapped by other object. We obtained more accurate detection by using region growing method. We implemented our algorithm by DSP processor and obtained an excellent result throughout the experiment.

  • Sea ice plays an important role in Earth's climate by regulating the amount of solar energy absorbed and controlling the exchange of heat and material across the air-sea interface. Its growth, drift, and melting are monitored on a regular basis by satellite observations. However, low-resolution products with passive microwave radiometer have reduced accuracy during summer to autumn when the ice surface changes rapidly. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) observations are emerging as a powerful complementary, but previous researches have mainly focused on winter ice. In this study, sea ice drift tracking was evaluated and analyzed using SAR images and tracker with global positioning system (GPS) during late summer-early autumn period when ice surface condition changes a lot. The results showed that observational uncertainty increases compared to winter period, however, the correlation coefficient with GPS measurements was excellent at 0.98, and the performance of the ice tracking algorithm was proportional to the sea ice concentration with a correlation coefficient of 0.59 for ice concentrations above 50%.

Development of Building Monitoring Techniques Using Augmented Reality (증강현실을 이용한 건물 모니터링 기법 개발)

  • In order to effectively distribute the resources, it is very critical to understand the status or progress of construction site quickly and accurately. Augmented Reality (AR) can provide this situation with information which is convenient and intuitive. Conventional implementation of AR in outdoor or construction site condition requires additional sensors or markers to track the position and direction of camera. This research is aimed to develop the technologies which can be utilized in gathering the information of constructing or constructed buildings and structures. The AR technique that does not require additional devices except for the camera was implemented to simplify the system and improve utility in inaccessible area. In order to do so, the position of camera's perspective center and direction of camera was estimated using exterior orientation techniques. And 3D drawing model of building was projected and overlapped using this information. The result shows that by using this technique, the virtual drawing image was registered on real image with few pixels of error. The technique and procedure introduced in this paper simplifies the hardware organization of AR system that makes it easier for the AR technology to be utilized with ease in construction site. Moreover, this technique will help the AR to be utilized even in inaccessible areas. In addition to this, it is expected that combining this technique and 4D CAD technology can provide the project manager with more intuitive and comprehensive information that simplifies the monitoring work of construction progress and planning.
