Purpose : We studied the relationship between anthracycline cumulative dose and anthracycline cardiotoxicity in childhood cancer and followed up 40 children with anthracycline cardiotoxicity. Methods : A retrospective study was performed in 154 children who received anthracycline chemotherapy between January 1995 to December 2000. Cardiotoxicity was defined when the left ventricular fractional shortening(FS) was below 26%; it was divided into two groups, mild and severe cardiotoxicity, according to the FS. We followed up survivors with cardiotoxicity, and checked their present cardiac function by physical activity, echocardiography, electrocardiography(EKG) and chest X-ray. Results : Of the 154 children treated with anthracyclines, forty(26.0%) were diagnosed as cardiotoxicity. The incidence of cardiotoxicity increased in exponential fashion with increases in the cumulative dose of anthracyclines. There was minimal increase of incidence until a dose of $300mg/m^2$ after which the incidence increased rapidly. After mean $3.8{\pm}1.8year$ follow-up of 23 survivors with cardiotoxicity, FS increased significantly. EKG and chest X-rays were not helpful for the diagnosis of cardiotoxicity because of their low sensitivity and specificity. Conclusion : Although convenient, non-invasive and inexpensive, EKG and chest X-rays were not helpful for the follow-up of anthracycline cardiotoxicity. Almost all survivors with anthracycline cardiotoxicity have improved in both physical activity and echocardiographic findings after discontinuation of anthracyclines.

This paper presents the performance evaluation of asphalt pavement reinforced with fiber sheet type of geosynthetics and observations conducted to evaluate the practical efficiencies and performance of overlay asphalt pavement reinforced with geosynthetics. In this study, performance evaluation were performed for the six section of construction site. The performance indcators of asphalt pavement reinforced with geosynthetics has been collected Automatic Road Analyzer (ARAN), Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) and have been analyzed for rutting, cracking ratio, falling weight and international roughness index. As a result of performance evaluations, geosynthetics reinforced asphalt pavement is sigficant effect on increasing a cracking resistance than the non-reinfroced asphalt pavement, also rutting and crak is slowly increase as incerasingly performance period.

Objective : This study was designed to determine the effects of sensory integration group therapy with regard to the sensory processing, peer interactions, and task performance, and whether they continue. Methods : Twelve children aged 7 to 13 years enrolled in this study for 60 minutes per session, three times a week for 8 weeks. Sensory integration group therapy consisted of a total of 24 activities that included sensory processing, play skills, and interaction with peers. Short Sensory Profile was used to select subjects. In order to measure the outcome, we used the Short Sensory Profile, Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale and Canadian Occupational Performance Measure at pre, post, and follow-up evaluations. The results were analyzed by means of repeated measures analysis, and the pre-test, post-test, and follow-up tests were compared using the Wilcoxon matched-pair signed rank test. Results : After sensory integration group therapy, sensory processing, peer interaction, and task performance significantly improved(p<.05). In addition, we confirmed that the effects of treatment were maintained in the 4 weeks follow-up test. Conclusion : Sensory integration group therapy is an effective way of mediating effects not only by improving sensory processing skills, but also by providing imitation and training in groups for children in need of peer interaction and linking them to daily life.

The tracing system means that the system can follows, traces, and records every steps of production and delivery of goods and its ingredient. Specially, Koreans have big concern about food tracing system which is influential for health directly. We were more interested in medical herb using in oriental medicine than any other things. We proposed the process and design of tracing system for medical herb based on RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) technology in this research. This study shows current medical herb tracing ways and RFID code system by using for world standard. Firstly, We designed the new process of traceability of medical herb with various preceding references based on RFID technology. Secondly we suggest that RFID code configuration using the international standard code(ISO code) and korean agricultural and marine products code for the proposed process. RFID code system is very important because this plays a means of identification for tracing about medical herb. The proposed code system have the elements as Issuing Agency Code, Issuer Number, inspection information, inheritance flag, area code, modified agricultural and marine products code, serial number in 96 Bit length. Lastly We defined the code-generation process in the tracing system.

This study was conducted to investigate the early-age behavior and performance of precast pavements constructed by replacing existing asphalt pavements for an intersection in urban bus only lanes. The monitoring items included level differences between asphalt pavement and precast panels at the beginning and ending locations of the precast pavement, level differences and joint widths between precast panels, precast panel settlement, and skid resistance of the panel surface. At a certain time after the construction, the diamond grinding method was applied and its effect was also investigated. The monitoring results showed that as time went by, the panel level, joint width, settlement, and skid resistance were not much varied. That implied the stable sustaining of external loads by the precast pavements. In addition, it was verified that employing diamond grinding could reduce the level differences between precast panels.

This study was developed as a mobile serious game app (Roly Poly 160 App) based on a prototype model and then used in a public health center for diabetes patients. The mobile serious game application upgraded the mobile version of Roly Poly 160, which is a content for diabetes self-management of the existing PC version, by requesting to charge service of G city. The study period was from February 19, 2018 to May 11, 2018, and users were allowed to access the Roly Poly 160 app at least once a day for a total of 8 to 12 weeks after the preliminary investigation. As a result, HbA1C was significantly decreased(p=0.04), and diabetic knowledge was significantly higher than that before the follow-up(p=0.01). After applying Roly Poly 160 App, Satisfaction score was 3.74 out of 5 points

The basic strategy of irradiation is to deliver a dose to the cancer that is high enough to make cancer cells incapable of reproduction, while keeping the doses to the various healthy tissues below tolerable levels. In order to improve local control and survival, as a boost therapy after external radiotherapy, high dose rate transcatheteric irradiation using remote control afterloading system(RALSTRON-20B) was used for twelve patients with head and neck cancers. Present results showed complete remission of cancer in 9 out of 12 patients without treatment related complications. Although this procedure is easy to operate, well trained skillful hand is essential for good results. Furthermore our experience suggested that meticulous treatment planning should be developed for better results.

본 연구에서는 개선된 영역기반의 패턴매칭 기법을 사용하여 이동물체의 탐색과 검출을 수행하였다. 시간에 따라 변화하는 이동물체의 안정된 추적을 위해 매 영상 프레임마다 이동물체의 윤곽선을 탐지하여 다음 영상에서의 템플릿으로 사용하기 위해 갱신하였으며, 패턴매칭의 연산속도 향상을 위해 패턴 정합률에 따라 영상을 다른 비율로 압축하여 추적하는 방법을 제안하였다. 기존의 영상파일을 사용하여 시뮬레이션 한 결과 이동물체의 검출과 추적에 양호한 동작을 보여주었으며 제안된 방법의 실시간 동작 가능성을 조사하였다.

A tracer test technique using a radioisotope was proposed to investigate pollutant mixing characteristics in rivers. The main advantages of radioisotope as a tracer in field tests are that it can be detected easily, and that its detection range is quite large. Also, using the radioisotope, the amount sorbed by the bed material and the biota may be a minimum. Field tracer tests were conducted at seven different sites in natural rivers with various meandering pattern. Based on the acquired data, the behavior of the tracer cloud in the intermediate-field was examined two-dimensionally, and dispersion coefficients were calculated using several evaluation methods. Results revealed that the tracer cloud was transported skewed to the outer bank and dispersion coefficients in bends were larger than those in straight reaches.

Purpose: This study examined the associations of Korean fermented cabbage kimchi consumption with the incidence risk of metabolic syndrome and its components in Korean adults. Methods: We used the community-based cohort data from the 2001 ~ 2012 Korean Genome and Epidemiology Study (KoGES). General characteristics, food group frequencies and nutrient intakes at baseline from 3,560 healthy individuals aged 40 ~ 69 years and the incidence of metabolic syndrome and its component from 2,259 participants, after excluding the data with incomplete anthropometric and blood test, during 10-year follow-up were analyzed. The participants were classified into three groups according to their daily consumption frequency of Korean fermented cabbage kimchi: 'less than once (< 1/day)', 'once or twice (1 ~ 2/day)', and 'three times (3/day)'. Results: After controlling for potential confounders such as age, education, income, residence area, alcohol drinking and energy intake, the consumption frequencies of rice and legumes were significantly higher, and the consumption frequency of meat was significantly lower in the 3/day group compared to that of the other two groups in men and women. The average intakes of energy and most nutrients, except fat and cholesterol, were higher in the 3/day group compared to those of the other two groups in men and women. Frequent consumption of kimchi was associated with a lower incidence of metabolic syndrome in all the models (unadjusted, age-adjusted, and multivariable-adjusted models) in women. When examining the multivariable-adjusted model, the hazard ratio for metabolic syndrome was 0.63 (95% CI: 0.47 ~ 0.86) for the 3/day group compared to that of the < 1/day group in women. However, there was no significant association between kimchi consumption and the incidence of metabolic syndrome in men. Conclusion: Our results show that consumption of kimchi at every meal was significantly associated with a lower incidence of metabolic syndrome in women.
