Parameters for Selecting the Shipboard 2D/3D Surveillance Radar (함정 탑재 2차원/3차원 탐색레이더 선택의 고려 요소)

  • According to advance of radar technology and increase of air threat, 3D surveillance radars are preferred as shipboard equipments to shorten reaction time. In this paper, reaction time against air target was calculated by simulation in each case, 2D and 3D surveillance radar and it was suggested that a few parameters including purpose of warships, performance of shipboard equipments, threat of surrounding countries and budget to select the reasonable type of radar.

  • We typically have a variety of equipment that can detect and track targets, and detect and track target quickly and accurately through the exchange of the information between each piece of equipment. These equipments have similar detection area(FOV), but some are different due to the limits of the resolution of the equipments. In this paper, we studied the method of reducing time to search and detect target, and also did the method of tracking automatically it.

  • GPS 수신기에서 항법을 수행하기 위해서 신호탐색, 신호추적, 데이터 동기, 데이터 복조, 측정치 생성 및 위치 계산의 과정을 거쳐야 한다. TTFF(Time To First Fix)는 이러한 시간의 합으로 수신기의 성능을 나타내는 중요 평가지수 중의 하나이다. 일반적인 수신기의 TTFF는 80~90초인 것으로 알려져 있으며, 고속으로 운동하는 항체의 경우, 빠른 TTFF를 필요로 하므로 가장 긴 시간이 소비하는 신호탐색 과정의 시간을 줄여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 고속으로 운동하는 항체에서 GPS 신호의 코드 탐색 시간을 줄이기 위하여 다중 상관기 구조를 가지는 수신기를 설계 하고자한다. 설계한 수신기는 수신된 신호의 코드위상을 여러 개의 상관기에서 동시에 탐색하도록 다중 상관기를 구성하여 코드위상 검색에 소요되는 시간을 단축시킨다. 이를 검증하기 위하여 GPS 모의 신호 발생기를 이용하여 실험을 수행하였다. GPS 신호는 IF 데이터 수집 장치로부터 수집된 신호를 이용하며, 실험 수행 결과 다중 상관기를 이용하였을 때 TTFF가 단축되는 것을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose a moving object tracking algorithm by using motion estimation in UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) video. Proposed algorithm is based on generation of initial image from detected reference image, and tracking of moving object under the time-varying image. With a series of this procedure, tracking process is stable even when the UAV camera sways by correcting position of moving object, and tracking time is relatively reduced. A block matching algorithm is also utilized to determine the similarity between reference image and moving object. An experimental result shows that our proposed algorithm is better than the existing full search algorithm.

  • In this paper, path planning and tracking problems are mentioned to guarantee efficient and safe navigation of autonomous mobile robots. We focus on the path planning and also deal with the path tracking and obstacle avoidance. We improved the conventional distance transform (DT) algorithm for the path planning. Using the improved DT algorithm, we obtain paths with shorter distances compared to the conventional DT algorithm. In the stage of the Path tracking, we employ the fuzzy logic controller to conduct the path tracking behavior and obstacle avoidance behavior. Through computer simulation studies, we show the effectiveness of the Nosed navigational algorithm for autonomous mobile robots.

  • This paper presents a new model based method for tracking moving object from a moving camera. In the proposed method, binary model is derived from detected object regions and Hausdorff distance between the model and edge image is used as its similarity measure to overcome the target's shape changes. Also, a novel search algorithm and some optimization methods are proposed to enable realtime processing. The experimental results on our test sequences demonstrate the high efficiency and accuracy of our approach.

  • 새로운 컴퓨팅 패러다임으로 대두되고 있는 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는 인터페이스 기술로 RFID가 이미지 기반 태그 등을 들 수 있다. RFID의 경우 여러 개의 태그를 인식할 수 있으나 태그의 존재를 모르는 사용자에게 혼동을 초래할 수 있고 이미지 코드만을 사용했을 때는 패시브 태그로 적송시간에 화물확인시간을 단축하기 어렵고 위치추적시에 액티브적인 요소가 없어 불편함을 가져올 수 있다. 그러므로 업무프로세스에서 인식거리 및 사용자 편의를 위한 액티브적인 요소가 요구되는 위치추적 및 신속한 입력을 위한 운송부문에 RFID를 사용하고 적품 여부를 확인하는 부분에 패시브적인 태그를 사용하여 유리한 점을 하나로 묶은 듀얼 태그 인터페이스를 제안한다. 이는 모든 운송자원을 파악하고 자원의 효율적인 활용을 통해 변화하는 환경에 신속하게 대응할 수 있는 인프라를 구축할 수 있으며 원재료의 수급에서 사용자에게 물품을 전달하는 과정에서 자원과 정보의 일련의 흐름을 관리하는게 가능하게 될 것이다.

Prefetching Framework for General Workloads Using Breakpoint (브레이크포인트를 이용한 범용 워크로드 프리페칭 프레임워크)

  • Application loading speed can be improved by timely prefetching disk blocks likely to be needed by an application. However, existing prefetchers -- if they are not specialized to a particular application -- incur high overheads and are poor at identifying the blocks that will actually be required. There are many sequences in which blocks may be needed and, even if two access sequences are identical, block tracing and access timings can be affected significantly by the state of the buffer cache. We propose a new application-independent software-based prefetching technique, in which breakpoints are inserted at appropriate places in an application to collect the information on correlations between the blocks and to prefetch the potential blocks ahead of their schedule based on it. Experiments on an HDD-based desktop PC demonstrated an average 30% reduction in application launch time and 15% in general I/O, while reducing the wasted overhead.
