A Study on the Effect of Controllers in Small Signal Stability of Power Systems (전력계통의 미소신호안정도에 미치는 제어기의 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The effect of controllers-Exciter, Power System Stabilizer, and Static Var Compensator-in one machine infinite bus system is investigated in this paper. The structure of generator state matrix with controllers is represented, while the Static Var Compensator is installed in generator terminal bus. Eigen-value analysis is performed and the effects of controllers to the dominant eigenvalue in one machine infinite bus system are represented by first order eigenvalue sensitivity coefficients while the operating conditions of the system are varied. Optimization of controller parameters using first order eigenvalue sensitivity coefficients is performed by the Simplex Method. It is proved that exciter control is the most efficient method to improve stability of the system and the effect of Static Var Compensator is small, in the case of one machine infinite bus system.

  • This paper describes important parameters used to evaluate the insulation performance of power supply components in metro substations. For online fault diagnosis of power supply components, we have developed a new remote condition monitoring system using wireless technology. Our developed system can continuously monitor electric power equipment such as transformers, circuit brakers, and rectifiers and have powerful wireless networking functions.

  • 본 연구는 '99년 7월에 벤처형 중소기업 기술개발 지원사업으로 신규 계약된 과제로서 상수원수의 전처리 및 하수 2차 침전수의 재처리 공정에 활용될 생물 산화 여과지를 개발하는 것이다. 생물 산화 여과 system은 상수 원수의 전처리, 상수도의 고도정수 처리, 하수 및 폐수처리에 이용될 수 있는 것으로, 특히 물리적 여과기능과 포기 과정을 통한 산화 기능을 포함하는 생물학적 분해 및 자연정화처리환경을 유지하여 수질이 악화된 상수도의 전·후처리나 하.폐수의 3차 처리에 적용하기 위한 것이다. 생물 산화 여과 시스템은 여과지의 하부 장치에 균등한 공기(산소)공급시설을 하여 여과층에 연속적으로 공기를 공급하면서 여과를 함으로서 생물막 여과 및 산화 기능으로 유기물질, 철, 망간 등을 제거하고 공기의 부상력에 의하여 조류, 부유물질, 냄새 등을 동시에 제거하는 System이다. 현재 상수처리 공정으로서의 생물 산화 여과지 개발을 위해 Bench-scale과 semi-pilot plant를 거쳐 Y시 M취수장애 pilot plant를 설치하여 연구를 진행중에 있으며, 또한, G시 G하수처리장에 하수처리 공정에 관한 연구를 위해 pilot plant를 설치하고 하수 3차 처리와 저농도 하·폐수 처리를 중심으로 연구중에 있다. 아래의 연구 결과는 정수처리 공정 연구를 위한 Bench-scale plant실험을 통해 얻은 결과치이며 현재까지 진행된 연구는 주로 정수처리 공정 중심으로 이루어 졌으나 pilot plant에서는 정수 및 하수처리에서의 생물산화여과공정의 연구가 진행중이다. 현재 연구가 진행중이므로 각 인자별 최적운전조건 등은 계속적인 실험과 연구를 통해 찾아지겠으나 현재까지 수행된 연구자료를 기반으로 볼 때 생물산화 여과장치는 탁도, SS, VSS 등의 제거에 탁월한 효능을 보이고 있다. 수처리용 장치로서의 이러한 기본적인 기능 이외에 NPOC, DOC 제거에도 뛰어난 효능을 보이고 있으며 특히 정수처리 공정에서 문제시 되고 있는 동절기 암모니아성 질소제거 또한 큰 가능성을 보여주고 있다. 그 동안 외국기술에 전면 의존해 오던 생물 산화 여과방식의 국내개발은 비용 절감뿐만 아니라 국내 실정에 맞는 기술개발이라는 점에서 향후 그 적용 범위를 넓혀 갈 수 있을 것이다.

A study on the improvement of cleaning performance in bag-filter (여과집진기의 탈진 거동 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The cleaning characteristics of pulse air jet type cleaning system which is widely applied in the industries were identified by utilizing the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and the cleaning performance in modified shape of dedusting unit was compared in this study. The review on each shape of cleaning part showed that the case of installing the nozzle on the blow tube (Case-3) and the case of installing the double intaking tube to the venturi (Case-4 and Case-5) were more excellent than the structure (Case-1). Also, the optimal venturi shape was designed and examined its applicability to the site in a pilot scale plant. A combined system of a blow tube and a venturi proposed by this study turned out to be very effective for concentrating an cleaning air compared to existing systems, such as using only blow tube and combines the blow tube and venturi. In addition, as a result of installing and testing a venturi proposed by this study, the cleaning frequency and cleaning time were much improved compared to a case of using a commercial venturi that is under use at the industrial sites.

Assessment of application effect a small sediment trap at field (밭에서의 소규모 침사구 적용효과 평가)

  • 전 국토의 약 7.6%를 차지하고 있는 밭은 장마철이나 집중호우에 의해 하천의 탁수문제를 유발할 뿐만 아니라, 수생태계에도 악영향을 미치기 때문에 비점오염원을 저감시켜야 한다. 이러한 비점오염원을 줄이기 위한 여러 최적관리방법 중 침사구를 밭의 유출부에 적용하여 비점오염물질의 유출저감효과를 평가 하고자 하였다. 평가 방법은 6개(각 110m2)의 무밭을 조성하여 무 재배기간(2011년 4월부터 7월) 동안 시험포에서 발생하는 강우유출수를 1.125 m3($1.5m{\times}1.5m{\times}0.5m$) 크기의 침사구 3개로 각각 유입되도록 하였다. 침사구로 유입된 유출수는 토양으로 침투 및 저류 또는 증발되도록 하였고, 강우에 의한 유출수의 양이 침사구의 용량보다 클 경우 침사구 유출부를 통해 유출되도록 하였다. 연구 결과 평균 64.1%의 유출량 저감효과가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 수질농도는 BOD5 39.0%, SS 62.1%, CODMn 43.4%, DOC 43.5%, T-N 40.0%, T-P 41.2%의 저감효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 유출량과 수질농도를 고려한 오염부하 저감효과는 유출량이 적었던 #2와 #3의 침사구에서 모든 수질항목에서 각각 80%와 90% 이상의 저감효과가 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 밭에서 발생하는 비점오염물질 저감을 위해 밭의 유출부에 작은 웅덩이와 같은 침사구를 설치할 경우 비점오염을 저감하는데 매우 효과적인 것으로 판단된다. 또한 강우유출수가 적을 경우 침사구에 의한 유사량의 저감효과도 매우 클 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 밭에서 발생하는 비점오염원을 줄이기 위해서는 본 연구와 같이 밭의 지표를 볏짚이나 다른 피복재 등으로 피복하여 토양의 이동을 최소한으로 줄여 오염부하량을 저감하고, 유출이 발생할 경우 밭의 유출부에 침사구를 설치하여 하천으로 유입되는 오염물질을 저감해야 할 것으로 판단된다.

A Development and Performance Experiment on In-rack Sprinkler Head for Rack Type Warehouse (적층식 대형창고 스프링클러헤드 개발 및 성능실험)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop a sprinkler head that can be controlled and initial suppressed by installing it in a rack-type warehouse. Method: Considering the spray radius and spray pattern, various deflectors were designed, and the spray angle, discharge characteristics and protection performance test was conducted, and these results were compared and analyzed. Results: An optimal sprinkler head was developed to protect full load, front side of a commodity with minimum water volume 115L/min. Conclusion: The developed head of K-115 and 1Bar pressure was tested with one tier storage confirming that the fire control is carried out without burning all the loadings. In addition, the vertical distance from the top of the load to the deflector shall be separated by 450mm and installed to allow sufficient discharge to the outer part of the commodity.

Simulation of Scooped Swing in High Bar Using Lagrange's Method : A Case Study (라그랑지 방법을 이용할 철봉 몸굽혀 휘돌기 동작의 시뮬레이션)

  • The purpose of this paper was to architecture optimal model of the scooped swing in high bar. The scooped swing was modeled to the double pendulum and was simulated with the Lagrange's equation of motion. Lagrange's method based on a energy approaching method was implemented as a equation of motion. The subject was a national man-gymnast(age 18yrs, height 153 cut mass 48 kg) and the high bar of SPIETH company was used to measure the scooped swing. Qualisys system(six MCU-240 cameras, QTM software)was used to capture data for imaging analysis. The solution of a model and data processing were solved in Mathematica5.0. The results were as follows: First model value of maximum bar displacement was longer than experimental value, that is, 0.02 m. Second, both angular pattern of segment1(HAT) had a increasing curve but curve patterns had a different concave and convex me. Third the experimental value of maximum angular angle of segment2(total leg) had larger than model value, that is, $4^{\circ}$. Conclusively, model parameters were quasi-optimized to obtain a quasi-match between simulated and actual performances. It hopes to simulate a human model by means of integrating musculoskeletal and neuromuscular system in the future study.

Vehicle Area Segmentation from Road Scenes Using Grid-Based Feature Values (격자 단위 특징값을 이용한 도로 영상의 차량 영역 분할)

  • Vehicle segmentation, which extracts vehicle areas from road scenes, is one of the fundamental opera tions in lots of application areas including Intelligent Transportation Systems, and so on. We present a vehicle segmentation approach for still images captured from outdoor CCD cameras mounted on the supporting poles. We first divided the input image into a set of two-dimensional grids and then calculate the feature values of the edges for each grid. Through analyzing the feature values statistically, we can find the optimal rectangular grid area of the vehicle. Our preprocessing process calculates the statistics values for the feature values from background images captured under various circumstances. For a car image, we compare its feature values to the statistics values of the background images to finally decide whether the grid belongs to the vehicle area or not. We use dynamic programming technique to find the optimal rectangular gird area from these candidate grids. Based on the statistics analysis and global search techniques, our method is more systematic compared to the previous methods which usually rely on a kind of heuristics. Additionally, the statistics analysis achieves high reliability against noises and errors due to brightness changes, camera tremors, etc. Our prototype implementation performs the vehicle segmentation in average 0.150 second for each of $1280\times960$ car images. It shows $97.03\%$ of strictly successful cases from 270 images with various kinds of noises.

Optimization of Angled Ribs for Heat Transfer Enhancement in Square Channel with Bleed Flow (유출홀이 설치된 정사각유로 내 열전달 향상을 위한 경사진 요철 최적설계)

  • The 2nd order response surface method (RSM) has been carried out to get optimum thermal design for enhanced heat transfer on square channel with bleed holes. The RSM was used as an optimization technique with Reynolds-averaged navier-stokes equation. Turbulence model for heat transfer analysis used RNG k-epsilon model. The wall function used enhanced wall function. Numerical local heat transfer coefficients were similar to the experimental tendency. Two design variables such as attack angle of rib (${\alpha}$), rib pitch-to-rib height ratio (p/e) were chosen. Operation condition considered bleeding ratio per bleed hole ($BR_{hole}$). A response surface were constructed by the design variables and operation condition. As a result, adjusted $R^2$ was more than 0.9. Optimization results of various objective function were similar to heat transfer in channel with and without bleed flow. But friction factor was lower than channel without bleed flow.

  • By using beam-projectors, we can easily configure a big image system. In the process of installing beam-projectors, however manual steps are essentially needed to perform a calibration such that distortions can be minimized. In order to automatically perform the correction of distortion, in this paper we propose a new auto-calibration method for beam-projector, which is based on Zigbee and can be easily implemented by simple hardware and software. In the proposed scheme, we recognize the required image project area by using Zigbee-based sensor module, and then we can obtain the best beam projection even in the case that the screen is badly twisted.
