The establishment of Proactive Routing Selection and Maintenance Algorithms for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (이동 Ad Hoc 네트워크에서 사전 활성화 라우팅 선택과 관리유지 알고리즘의 구축)

  • In conventional on-demand mobile ad hoc routing algorithms, an alternate path is sought only after an active path is broken. It incurs a significant cost in terms of money and time in detecting the disconnection and establishing a new route. In this thesis, we propose proactive route selection and maintenance to conventional mobile ad hoc on-demand routing algorithms. The key idea for this research is to only consider a path break to be likely when the signal power of a received packet drops below an optimal threshold value and to generate a forewarning packet. In other words, if a path is lost with high probability, the neighboring node that may easily be cut off notifies the source node by sending a forewarning packet. Then the source node can initiate route discovery early and switched to a reliable path potentially avoiding the disconnection altogether. For the simulational study, network simulator(NS2) is used. The result of simulation shows that the algorithm significantly improves the performance of networks comparing to conventional on-demand routing protocols based on DSR and AODV in terms of packet delivery ratio, packet latency and routing overhead.

Development of A System Optimum Traffic Control Strategy with Cell Transmission Model (Cell Transmission 이론에 근거한 시스템최적 신호시간산정)

  • A signal optimization model is proposed by applying the Cell-Transmission Model(CTM) as an embedded traffic flow model to estimate a system-optimal signal timing plan in a transportation network composed of signalized intersections. Beyond the existing signal-optimization models, the CTM provides appropriate theoretical and practical backgrounds to simulate oversaturation phenomena such as shockwave, queue length, and spillback. The model is formulated on the Mixed-Integer Programming(MIP) theory. The proposed model implies a system-optimal in a sense that traffic demand and signal system cooperate to minimize the traffic network cost: the demand departing from origins through route choice behavior until arriving at destinations and the signal system by calculating optimal signal timings considering the movement of these demand. The potential of model's practical application is demonstrated through a comparison study of two signal control strategies: optimal and fixed signal controls.

  • A routing scheme called MCS-NLTC using a self-configuration marine network model and the diversity and heterogeneity of broadband wireless access technologies is newly proposed. The MCS-NLTC algorithm selects optimal nodes and carriers for every hop in optimal routes based on not conventional hop counts but normalized distances to destination ships (location information of destination ships). Normalized transmission characteristics of applications and carriers are considered to get optimal routes as well. The location information enhances convergence speed to get destinations, which makes the route search time faster. Evaluated performances are compared with those of the schemes based on max-win (OMH-MW), and normalized transmission characteristics (MCS-NTC).

  • 본 논문에서는 ATM과 같은 연결 지향적 고속네트워크에서, 가중치를 가진 Flow들의 대역폭 할당과 라우팅문제에 있어 공정성과 처리량에 대하여 고려해 보았다. 가중치클 고려치 않은 Flow들에 대한 최적경로설정문제에 대하여, 기존의 QoS 서비스와 Best-Effort 서비스에서 연구된 라우팅알고리즘에서 벗어나, 본 논문은 가중치를 가진 Flow들에 대하여 Soft-QoS서비스를 지원함에 있어서 공정성과 최대 처리량을 정의하고, 또한 이를 바탕으로 가중치 최소극대 대역폭 할당과 가중치 최소극대 공정라우팅 알고리즘을 제안한다. 종단간 최적경로를 설정하는데, 최소비용으로 Bottleneck-Link를 구하고 대역폭을 할당하기 위하여 그래프 상의 노드에 두 가지 색을 사용하는 그래프문제(Graph Coloring)와 최악의 경우를 감안하면서 경로를 선택하는 최소극대화 문제(Maxmin)를 결부시켜 살펴본다. 나아가 Soft-QoS 서비스의 최대값과 최소값을 고려한 가중치를 가진 Weighted-Flow들의 대역폭 할당과 경로설정에 있어, 동적인 네트워크 환경에 보다 효율적으로 접근 가능한 근사 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • Mobile nodes in MANETs have the nature of unrestricted mobility so that they will join and leave the network frequently. Therefore, it important consideration to determine the optimal distance progress between relaying nodes along the route in order to maintain the established route for an arbitrary length of time (i.e., route duration). In this paper, we derived the link maintenance probability by considering the initial distance between two relaying nodes and node mobility. Based on the link maintenance probability, we further analyzed the route stability by considering the impact of distance progress between relaying nodes along the route.

  • DSPF/IS-IS extension과 같은 기존 constraint-based 라우팅 알고리즘은 링크 상태(Link State) 정보에 constraints를 포함해야 하기 때문에 네트워크의 대역폭을 많이 낭비하게 되고, 모든 경로 탐색 정보를 모아서 초기에 적합한 최적 경로를 유지하고 있으므로 서로 다른 노드에서 다양한 멀티미디어 서비스가 요구될 때 서비스별 QoS를 만족시키기 힘들어진다. 본 논문은 다양한 005가 요구되는 네트워크 트래픽 상황에 맞는 QoS 기반의 새로운 라우팅 알고리즘(QRDGSPA)을 제안하여 복잡한 계산 과정없이 유용 자원을 측정하는(measured) 방식으로 QoS5가 고려된 경로들 중 단일 또는 여러 개의 최적 경로를 선택할 수 있도록 하고, CR-LDP를 이용한 LSP Feedback을 적용하여 네트워크의 자원 상황을 미리 파악함으로써 MPLS 네트워크의 이용율을 극대화하고 효율적인 네트워크 운용이 가능하도록 한다.

A Dynamic Shortest Path Finding Model using Hierarchical Road Networks (도로 위계 구조를 고려한 동적 최적경로 탐색 기법개발)

  • When it comes to the process of information storage, people are likely to organize individual information into the forms of groups rather than independent attributes, and put them together in their brains. Likewise, in case of finding the shortest path, this study suggests that a Hierarchical Road Network(HRN) model should be selected to browse the most desirable route, since the HRN model takes the process mentioned above into account. Moreover, most of drivers make a decision to select a route from origin to destination by road hierarchy. It says that the drivers feel difference between the link travel tine which was measured by driving and the theoretical link travel time. There is a different solution which has predicted the link travel time to solve this problem. By using this solution, the link travel time is predicted based on link conditions from time to time. The predicated link travel time is used to search the shortest path. Stochastic Process model uses the historical patterns of travel time conditions on links. The HRN model has compared favorably with the conventional shortest path finding model in tern of calculated speeds. Even more, the result of the shortest path using the HRN model has more similar to the survey results which was conducted to the taxi drivers. Taxi drivers have a strong knowledge of road conditions on the road networks and they are more likely to select a shortest path according to the real common sense.

  • 다단계 버스 네트워크 기반의 분산공유메모리 환경에서 효율적인 동적 라우팅 알고리즘을 제안한다. 버디특성으로부터 생기는 잉여경로들을 활용하여 네트워크 상의 스위치들의 트래픽을 동적으로 분산시키고, 동적 라우팅이 선택될 확률을 높이기 위해 기존의 최적 경로결정 알고리즘을 개선한 것이다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안된 동적 라우팅 알고리즘의 성능과 다단계 버스 네트워크에서의 잉여경로들을 고려하지 않는 기존의 라우팅 알고리즘들의 성능을 비교하여 우리가 제안한 동적 라우팅 알고리즘이 기존의 라우팅 알고리즘들보다 평균 대기 작업수와 평균 응답시간 면에서 효율적으로 동작한다는 것을 보인다.

  • A simulation tool for an optimal ATIS design and drivers' dynamic route choice behavior analysis is developed, which is applicable to urban networks. Due to the difficulty to make drivers feel the time pressure according to traffic conditions, current SP questionnaire survey type surveys have a limitation to capture correct driver reactions to real-time traffic Information provision. The simulator Is a web-based upgraded version, named WATiSim (Web-based ATIS Simulator), to quickly perform a wide population survey with a minimal cost using INTERNET Furthermore, the time pressure issue is lessened by its interface and simulation modules. After WATiSim mimicked a VMS based ATIS in a partial network of Seoul Metropolitan, reactions of drivers to various traffic conditions were surveyed through INTERNET and analyzed using a logit model. Drivers under the ATIS environment clearly understood the provided traffic information, and their reactions were closely related to traffic conditions, scheduled delay, trip purposes as well as toll charge if any.

Load Balanced QoS Routing for Precomputation of QoS Routes (QoS 경로의 선계산을 적용한 부하분산 QoS 라우팅)

  • In this paper, we propose a load balancing QoS routing on a targe scale network. We use the scheme in which it calculates the cost of resources with a precomputation and then selects a path among multiple paths based on the calculated cost for each resources. We also use the QoS routing scheme for the transit and the intra-traffic on a large scale domain-based network. For a domain in networks, this routing scheme precomputes K multiple paths between all pairs made up with each ingress and egress border routers along with the consideration of a load balancing, and then picks up paths having the high probability on the Path selection. This routing scheme can be applied for the transit traffic and the intra traffic and combines the Inter-domain and intra-domain routings seamlessly and put a high priority on the transit traffic Thus, these schemes make Possible both the global use of network resources and the load balancing.
