In MMORPG (Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game), users advance their own characters to get to the maximum (max) level by performing given tasks in the game scenario. Although it is crucial to retain users with high levels for running online games successfully, little efforts have been paid to investigate them. In this study, by analyzing approximately 60 million in-game logs of over 50,000 users, we aimed to investigate the process through which users achieve the max level and churn of such users since the moment of achieving the max level, and determine possible indicators related to churn after the max level. Based on the result, we can predict churn of the max level users by employing behavioral patterns before the max level. Moreover, we found users who are socially active and communicate with many people before the max level are less likely to leave the service (p<0.05). This study supports that communication patterns are important factors for persistent usage of the users who achieve the max level, which has practical implications to guide elite users on enjoying online games in the long run.

Han-Ki Choi($1803{\sim}1877$), who was a scholar in Joseon dynasty, understood geography into a synthetic category of chorography, cartography, earth science and fengshui. He focused on chorography and map as a leading position in geography. The purpose of the research of Han-Ki Choi was to examine the way of Heaven, and then to make clear the way of Humanity. The identity of the geography for Han-Ki Choi was a practical science that useful for the ruling over the country and the welfare of people. He emphasized the nature of relationship with humans in geography. The system of Han-Ki's Chi-hak came from the basis of a geography, on the contrary, his geographical works were accomplished on the ground of the Chi-science. The chorography, Chi-hak of the earth and the earth science were composed into systematic organization for achieving the goal of the Chi-geography.

본 논문에서는 바둑판을 촬영한 정지 영상에서 격자무늬의 특징을 이용하여 바둑판의 최외각 네 점을 검출하는 방법을 제시한다. 바둑판은 수평 및 수직 방향으로 각각 19 개의 선이 격자무늬를 이룬다. 영상에는 일반적으로 노이즈가 포함되어 있기 때문에 허프(Hough) 변환의 임계값(threshold)을 이용한 선 패턴 추출 방식으로는 모든 선에 대한 정보를 얻을 수 없다. 따라서, 제안하는 알고리즘은 허프(Hough) 변환을 수행한 뒤에 추출된 선들이 이루는 교차점의 정보를 이용하여 바둑판의 최외각 네 점을 예측한다. 실험 결과는 실제 바둑판의 최외각 네 점과 비교하여 예측된 최외각 네 점의 에러 값을 제시한다. 이는 제안된 알고리즘이 바둑판의 최외각 네 점을 성공적으로 검출한다는 것을 입증한다.

Seasonal occurrence in each stages of rice water weevil, Lissorhoptrus oryzophilus Kuschel, was studied in paddy field transplanted on May 25, Siehung, 1989. The peak of overwintered adults was late May an that of newly emerged adults was early August. Oviposition occurred in late May and late June and its peak was observed on early June. Larvae were observed from early June to early August and pupation occurred from early July to late August. The first adults of newly emerged rice water weevil was observed on early July and its emergence peak was early August.

세계 최고 수준의 선박을 건조하여 매년 최우수 선박상을 수상하고, IT(정보가술)가 세계 최고 수준이라는 우리나라에서 선박을 설계$.$건조하는데 사용되는 각종 소프트웨어는 과연 세계 최고 수준인가？ 선박을 건조하는데 사용되고 있는 소프트웨어의 개발 주체는 크게 두 경우인데, 외국 제품이거나 조선소에서 독자 개발한 것이다. 외국 제품의 경우, 소프트웨어의 기술력과 안정성은 확보되어 있으나, 우리 조선소의 설계 개념이나 생산 시설에 적합하지 않은 경우가 많아 조선소가 독자적으로 변환하거나 외국 개발 주체에게 의뢰하여 수정 보완하고 있는 실정이다. 이 경우 비용과 시간 문제를 논외로 하더라도 우리의 설계와 생산 정보가 외국으로 유출될 수 있는 가능성이 매우 높다고 하겠다.
