본 발표는 대한민국 해기사 커뮤니케이션 역량 강화를 위해, 해사 영어 구술시험 개발의 필요성을 타국의 사례 등을 통해 제안하고, 이를 위해 시범 개발 중인 "한국형 해사 영어 구술시험"의 개발 제작 과정과 현재 개발 진행 사항을 공유하고, 향후 추진 방향을 모색하기 위함이다. 따라서 본 발표에서는, 구술시험 평가 수립을 위한 유관 산업 문헌 조사(국제 교통 관련 산업 의사소통 지침, 평가 척도), 해기사 직무에 따른 영어 구술시험 문제 개발 계획 수립 및 시험 설계 시 검토 사항, 모의 구술시험 설계 및 시행, 모의시험 효과 측정, 측정 결과에 따른 향후 평가 척도 개발 시 고려 사항, 구술 평가를 인공지능 평가 방법 도입 방안 모색 등의 과정을 순차적으로 소개하고, 이에 대한 결과물을 공유하며, 향후 발전 방향을 제안하고자 한다.

Seafarers from 21 APEC economies, are not only an indispensable source of human capital for the global maritime industry, covering at least 56% of the world's seafaring population (BIMCO, 2015), but also pivotal in providing support to their economies as a major industrial pillar, specifically in developing economies where the development of skills and enhancement of labor mobility of human resources is essential in creating sustainable and inclusive regional growth. This paper examines challenges and barriers in seafarer mobility in relation to policies in APEC economies and investigates mutual collaborative actions that can be taken to address the issues identified in a coordinated and harmonised manner.

In light of the unprecedented occupational health and safety concerns that have been raised in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the importance of seafarers' mental health has been significantly underlined. Despite the fact that there has been a significant amount of research on the psychological threats of seafarers' mental health, mutual cooperative actions on this issue have not been properly coordinated among seafarers' relevant bodies and stakeholders in APEC region. This paper introduces the APEC SEN's initiatives that have been undertaken to improve the mental health of seafarers, in collaboration with medical professionals, seafarers' unions, maritime administrations, and other stakeholders, through the development of training programmes and materials for both seafarers and modulators, resulting in a more effective approach to mental healthcare promotion.

The COVID-19 pandemic had substantial negative impacts and caused several disruptions to the global supply chain of the shipping industry. The key challenges identified in terms of maritime manpower are the Certificates of Competency (CoC) or the expiration and/or failure to complete refresher and/or revalidation courses, which directly hinder employment retention and lost opportunities at sea. To tackle this issue directly and swiftly, the creation of the APEC SEN Distance Learning Platform was suggested and approved by APEC as part of an official project. This paper introduces the APEC-wide accessible distance learning platform with the following key topics: the organisation and operation of the platform, the themes and content to be prioritised, the process of education, training, certification, and the ways to promote accreditation, mutual recognition on CoC, education and training videos by taking collaborative actions, and the development of content.

As the importance of maritime communication in a cross-cultural onboard working environment grows, the importance of developing systematic supporting aids both for learning and teaching maritime English has been emphasized. Given that English communication proficiency is one of the most critical factors in determining a seafarer's competency, a systemic supporting system for enhancing maritime English communication capabilities is essential not only for them to professionally carry out and conduct assigned duties onboard, but also for them to navigate success in their lives through increased labour mobility both at sea and onshore. The APEC Seafarers Excellence Network initiates the production of Maritime English Communication Packages for seafarers in APEC regions, under the leadership of the Republic of Korea. This paper introduces the design of APEC SEN Maritime English Communication Packages, which include textbooks, audio-lingual materials, online/mobile life-long learning platform and testing aids, ultimately for upand re-skilling of seafarers to increase their employability, mobility and preparedness for the future shipping industry where globalisation is expected to further accelerate.

이 연구는 현상의 흐름과 연구의 경향이 맥락적으로 일치한다는 가정을 바탕에 두고 있다. 이에 텍스트 마이닝을 활용하여 한국창작무용 연구의 주제 분석을 통해 춤의 경향을 탐색하는 것에 목적이 있다. 이에 논문 검색 웹사이트에 구축되어 있는 616편의 논문제목에서 1,291개의 단어를 분석하였다. 데이터의 수집 및 정제, 분석은 모두 R 3.6.0 SW을 사용하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 2000년대 이전에는 시대를 나타내는 키워드가 높은 빈도를 나타내었으나 교육 및 신체훈련 측면에서의 한국창작무용 연구유형도 발견되었다. 둘째, 2000년대 이후에는 무용단의 공연활동과 관련된 키워드의 빈도가 높게 나타났으나 최승희가 여전히 한국창작무용 연구에서 중요한 위치에 있다는 것이 확인되었다. 셋째, 한국창작무용 연구의 전체 연구주제를 분석한 결과 '근대시대 최승희의 예술', '현대 전통의 수용 양상과 가치', '전통춤의 안무적 표현 및 활용', '국립무용단의 공연 활동', '시대별 춤 표현', '교육 프로그램의 적용'으로 총 6개의 토픽이 추출되었다. 이 중 '근대시대 최승희의 예술'에 관한 연구가 가장 높은 비중을 차지하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 2000년을 기준으로 상승하고 있는 Hot 토픽은 '국립무용단의 공연 활동'과 '전통춤의 안무적 표현 및 활용'으로 나타났다. 그러나 최근 국립무용단의 공연 기조가 '전통을 기반으로 한 현대화'를 표방하고 있으므로 2000년대 이후 한국창작무용의 경향이 전통춤을 모티프로 한 안무적 표현과 그 활용에 공통적으로 집중되어 있음이 확인되었다. 다섯째, 2000년을 기준으로 하락하고 있는 Cold 토픽은 '시대별 춤 표현'에 관한 연구로 나타났다. 이것은 한국창작춤의 장르적 정착 이후 다양한 춤 스타일의 혼재에 따른 경향으로 연구에 대한 관심도 역시 저하된 것으로 판단되었다.

Feeding ecology of the white-spotted conger eel Conger myriaster in the Southern Sea of Korea was examined. Specimens were caught monthly from January 2004 to December 2006. Primary prey items of C. myriaster included fish, shrimp, and crabs. C. myriaster exhibited a nocturnal feeding strategy and preyed upon a wide range of pelagic fish groups(e.g., Engraulis japonicus, Glossanodon semifasciatus, and Maurolicus muelleri). This species was also an opportunistic feeder that exploited the available prey in each area(i.e., fish in the A area and shrimp in the B area). The composition of the diet of C. myriaster exhibited seasonal fluctuations that were related to food availability during each season. The observed ontogenetic shifts in diet were relatively clear, despite substantial overlap between the 10 cm and 20 cm groups of C. myriaster.

Success of communication at sea is directly linked with clear and complete delivery and receipt of the target message between interlocutors. It can be said that speakers' effective delivery of their intended message and listeners' precise decoding and accurate understanding are the keys to successful maritime communication. From this perspective, the scope of maritime English education and training needs to be reconceptualized and expanded into the area of communication itself, beyond the simple acquisition of, and familiarization with, IMO Standard Maritime Communication Phrases (SMCP). Therefore, in order to make learners' acquisition of marine communication knowledge more feasible, and the knowledge learned more practically applicable, training on effective and clear oral delivery should be also considered within the frame of maritime English education. Thus, critical training elements to realize this goal need to be suggested as guidelines. In this presentation, the theoretical background on this will be introduced in terms of English as a Lingua Franca (ELF) and Lingua Franca Core (LFC), which are the current mainstream forms of English communication in the international business context. Based on this, six key training elements will be discussed; that is, speech rate, word groups, pauses, nuclear stresses, consonants (including consonant clusters), and vowels (specifically long and short vowels). Finally, the practical pedagogical methods of each element, and its actual application into a real ESP classroom, will be suggested.

비점오염원에서 배출되는 농악은 부유물질과 흡착하여 퇴적되며 수체로 유출되어 공공 보건에 위해를 미친다. 본 연구에서는 0가 철이 퇴적물에 포함된 농약의 일종인 아트라진을 분해하는 속도를 구하고자 하였으며 이때 퇴적물의 완충능력을 모사하기 위하여 완충액을 첨가하여 pH를 중성으로 하였다. 아트라진의 초기농도를 10, 30, 50 mg/L로 할 때 아트라진의 감소는 가1차 반응을 따랐으며 반응속도상수 $K_{obs}$는 평균 $3.21{\times}10^{-2}/d$를 나타내었다.

최근 들어 국외에서는 오염된 지하수의 정화기술로써 0가 금속을 이용한 방법이 높은 잠재력을 가진 신기술로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 0가 금속중 나노크기(1-100nm)를 가진 0가 철입자를 이용하여 수중의 NO$_3$￣를 탈질처리하는 실험을 행하였다. 본 실험에서 제조한 나노크기 0가 철입자는 상온상압의 환원적 조건에서 50, 100, 200, 400mg/$\ell$의 NO$_3$￣와 반응하여 반응시간 30분안에 95%이상 제거되는 높은 반응성을 보여주었다. 기존의 상업용 철입자(10-100$\mu\textrm{m}$)를 이용한 NO$_3$￣의 제거결과에서 보여주는 다량의 철사용, 낮은 적용 오염농도, 그리고 낮은 반응속도등의 문제점에 비하여 나노크기 철 입자는 높은 오염농도범위에서도 적은 철 주입량과 짧은 반응시간 내에 매우 높은 제거효율(10-100배)을 나타내었다. 이러한 결과로 수중의 NO$_3$￣의 고속 탈질반응속도에 영향을 주는 중요한 변수는 반응에 참여하는 철 입자의 비표면적임을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서 얻은 batch실험 결과를 바탕으로 NO$_3$￣로 오염된 지하수의 정화를 위한 현장 적용을 목표로 연속처리 공정의 설계를 위한 토대를 마련하고자 하였다.
