  • 1899년 9월 18일 경인선 철도가 개통된 이래 우리철도는 100년이 넘는 역사를 가지고 있다. 1970년대 경부선 최고속도를 140km/h로 향상시킨데 이어 현재 우리나라는 건국이래 최대규모의 사회기반시설인 경부고속전철 사업을 추진중이며, 2004년에 300km/h급 고속철도 서비스가 개시될 예정으로 경부축의 상대적 거리는 더욱 가까워지면서 발전이 촉진되지만, 타 지역의 개발은 상대적으로 지체됨에 따라 국토의 편중개발로 인한 지역적 불만을 초래하게 될 것으로 예상된다.(중략)

  • 우리나라 철도는 1899. 9. 18 노량진~인천간 33.2km를 개통한 이래 100주년을 맞이하는 해 12월 16일(15:00시) 열차운행 최고속도 300km/h인 경부고속철도 천안~대전간 시험선 구간에서 대통령을 모시고 200km/h로 시험운행을 개시하였다. 21세기를 대비하여 철도기술수준을 국제수준으로 향상시켜 국가경쟁력을 강화해야한다고 생각하며 2004년 경부고속철도 개통을 대비하여 고속철도의 운용효율증대와 많은 국민이 이용할 수 있도록 하기 위해 경부고속철도와 기존철도를 서로 연결하여 운용하는 것이 바람직하여 연결운행방향을 간단하게 의견을 설명하고자 합니다.   • In this study we have studied running stability, safety and passenger comfort of the Chinese first class passenger car made by our company and CCRW. A fine analysis model of 72 d.o.f. was constructed for simulating dynamic behavior of the car on straight and curved tracks having irregularity configurations. We have calculated the various characteristic values such as critical speed, lateral force, derailment ratio, wheel unloading ratio and passenger comfort index, then evaluated them by comparing with reference values.

  • The speed-limit regulation on a turnout is the main factor inhibiting the speed-up of conventional lines. The specified speed for a train moving through a turnout system is lower than that for a train traveling over the general track. This is done to ensure the running safety of a railway vehicle moving through a turnout. In this study, the shape change example of the guard rail component of a turnout in the Daegu Metropolitan Transit Corporation (DTRO) system was studied. A theoretical examination of the geometrical interaction formula according to wheel/rail shape at the turnout was conducted. Running safety analysis by changing the length of the guard rail on the F10/F12 turnout using the developed analysis techniques (by VI-Rail) was achieved, and the effect on railway safety was examined accordingly.

  • Rice straw was pretreated using dilute sulfuric acid at reaction conditions covering two levels of reaction temperature (140, $150^{\circ}C$) and five levels of acid concentrations ($1.0{\sim}3.0%wt$). The production and decomposition rates of major components of rice straw indicating glucose, xylose, galactose and arabinose were investigated. The production rate of arabinose and the decomposition rate of xylose were greatest among them. The maximum attainable hemicellulose (xylose+galactose+arabinose) yield was about 80%. High acid concentration appears to favor the maximum yield but high temperature does not. The optimum condition was found to be $140^{\circ}C$, 2.5% and 20 minutes. The maximum glucose yields were almost same, around $16{\sim}18%$, regardless of reaction conditions.

  • This study was carried out to estimate the effects of parity, milking time, milking interval and days in milk(DIM) on variation in milk yield between consecutive milkings(am to pm to am), morning and evening milk yield and its components, somatic cell counts(SCS), milking duration, milk flow rate and peak milk flow in Holstein dairy cattle. Records from one hundred and twenty two heads of Holstein cattle at National Livestock Research Institute, Korea were used for this study from July 1 to August 8, 2005. The experimental herd had average 1.6$\pm$0.9 parities, 199.8$\pm$109.1 DIM and 12.26$\pm$4.06kg milk yields at each milking. Milking yield, percent milk fat and SNF, milking duration and average milk flow were significantly varied by parity, milking time and DIM. Percent milk protein and lactose were varied by parity and DIM, however SCS and average milk flow were affected by parity and milking time. Milking interval significantly affected the consecutive, morning and evening milk yield and average milk flow. However, MUN was not affected by parity, milking time, DIM and milking interval. Milk yield was decreased with increasing parity. Milk yield in the morning was higher than that of in the evening. Milk yield between consecutive milking was not affected by parity, however, affected by milking time. Percent milk Fat, SNF and SCS were higher at in evening milk than those of in morning milk. Milk protein, lactose, SNF, SCS, milking duration and peak milk flow rate were influenced by parity. This study suggested that milk yield variation between consecutive milking, milking flow rate, and milking duration could be important traits for enhancing Holstein cattle productivity however, and more study is needed to estimate genetic parameters for such traits.
