This study for establishment of cultivation technique was carried out in home, Pleurotus ostreatus, Ganoderma lucidum. The mushroom kit allows you to grow some of the mushrooms used by the finest chefs in the world easily and quickly almost anywhere in your own home or office. Mushroom kits may be placed on a coffee table, counter, or desk. They will produce mushrooms virtually anywhere room temperature is maintained. Now we have the opportunity not only to enjoy watching these exotic mushrooms grow but also to enjoy eating the freshest organic mushrooms possible. To study for the possibility of indoor cultivation of P. ostreatus, and G. lucidum, we invested cultivation status with two kinds of sawdust, cotton waste and rice straw in washroom, kitchen, living room, and bedroom. It took 2~4 days to make primordia formation in a block of P. ostreatus, and G. lucidum was 11 days. Weight of P. ostreatus on cotton waste, rice straw, and willow sawdust were 2,060g, 90g, and 770g, respectively. and weight of G. lucidum on oak sawdust was 172g. Th best result was achieved in washroom, among used washroom, kitchen, living room, and bedroom.
An experiment was conducted to study the zinc deficiency of rice plant grown on Boeun soil of Korea and on Batangas soil of the philippines. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Batangas soil was deficient in zinc because of the high pH, high organic matter and high calcium. Zinc content of the rice plant grown on Batangas soil was l6ppm. On the other hand, Boeun soil had low organic matter. Zinc content of the rice plant grown on Boeun soil was 33ppm. 2. The top leaf had higher zinc content than any other leaves. Zinc deficiency apparently occured when the zinc content of the rice plant was below 18ppm. 3. The physiologically acid fertilizer such as ammonium sulfate was more advantageous in improving zinc up take than the urea. 4. The zine deficiency was promoted when the Mn/Zn ratio is high, and zinc and manganess interact antagonistically in the growth of rice plant. 5. The zinc deficiency could be overcome by applying zinc chloride and fritted Trace elements to the Batangas soil, and the yield was significantly increased than conrtol.
This experiment was carried out to analyze the effect of different air- and soil-temperatures on the major traits of barley including grain yield. Outdoor growth cabinet and soil temperature equipment were used for this study to control the air- and soil-temperatures during the plant growth. Earlier heading appeared at the higher soil-temperature under same air-temperature, and more stems showed when conbined with 25$^{\circ}C$ of air-temperature and l0$^{\circ}C$ soil-temperature than any treatment. There appeared, however, the longest spike length, awn length, distance from flag-leaf to spike and culm length at 20$^{\circ}C$ of air-temperature and 10$^{\circ}C$ or 15$^{\circ}C$ of soil-temperatures. As far as grain yields are concerned, there showed the highest yield on the condition combined with 20$^{\circ}C$ of air-temperature and 10$^{\circ}C$ of soil-temperature.
An experiment was carried out to investigate the effects of plant growth regulators on the growth and fiber yield of ramie. Gibberellin (GA) and Atonic acid were applied at the various levels of application dates, application frequencies and concentration. Stem growth of ramie increased greatly by applying GA on the meristem of shoot apex. Among three treatments of application frequencies of GA, that is, one time application at the stage of stem length with 50cm, twice applications at the stem length of 50cm and 100cm, and three times applications at stem length of 50cm, 100cm and 150cm, stem growth increased more as application frequency increased. GA application is more effective on stem growth at the later stage of growth than the earlier growth stage. GA treatment of 100 to 300 ppm is more effective on stem elongation than 50 ppm, which was due on the elongation of internodes without increase in number of nodes. One time application of GA enhanced leaf growth more or less regardless of concentration, but GA was applied more frequently, leaf growth was inhibited more at higher concentration. Fiber yield was the highest at the treatment of three times application of GA with 100 ppm. This treatment also showed the highest percentage of fiber with 5.3%, which is much higher value compared with that of control treatment with 4.6%. Atonic acid was less effective on stem elongation than GA, but it also seemed to be effective on the enhancement of fiber development.

Verdigris is a traditional artificial pigment reported on old research papers and according to the methods mentioned in the literature, it is manufactured by the corrosion of copper or copper alloys using vinegar and by further scraping the generated rust. Since the Three Kingdoms Period, various household products with copper alloys, such as bronze and brass, have been used, and pigment analysis of these cultural heritage items has revealed the presence of tin, zinc, lead, and copper in green pigments. Based on these data, five types of verdigris were prepared from copper and copper alloys, and analyzed. the analysis results revealed a bluish green pigmentation, and the chromaticity, particle shape, and oil absorption quantity of each verdigris differed based on the type of copper alloy used in its preparation. The main components of verdigris are Cu, Sn, Zn and Pb, and their proportions depended on the type of copper alloy used during manufacturing. However, the main constituent mineral of the pigments is the same as 'hoganite[Cu(CH3COO)2·H2O]', regardless of the copper alloy used. The result of accelerated weathering test for stability evaluation revealed that verdigris was discolored rapidly, thereby indicating that its stability was low, in particular, the pigments comprising lead presented relatively lower stability.
The purpose of this study was to estimate the chitinolytic and antifungal activity of Actinomycetes sp.isolated from waste mushroom media. In five kinds of waste mushroom media, Sinyeong mushroom and Yangsongi were the order of the population density of actinomycetes. Totally 91 chitinolytic isolates of Actinomycetes sp. were obtained from waste mushroom media. The isolates were categorized into 3 groups based on chitinolytic activity and antagonisms against Phytophthora capsici, Rhizoctonia solani, Sclerotinia sclerotiorum, Collectotrichum gloeosporioides, and Cladosporium cucumerinum in vitro. CA-23 was selected as a representative isolate of a group showing strong chitinolytic and antagonistic activities to all of the plant pathogens, while AA-65 was selected as a representative isolate showing no chitinolytic activities but strong antagonistic activities to the pathogens. CA-23 and AA-65 were highly effective on control of Phytophthora blight of hot-pepper, powdery mildew and scab of cucumber in a greenhouse tests. Among the isolates tested, CA-23 showed highest control efficacy, while AA-65 not only effectively controlled the diseases but also consistently increased plant growth and yield. Although the isolates are similarly affected on suppression of plant pathogens, the isolates could be differ from each other in modes of action. Further studies on mechanisms and practical applications are being progressed.

The development of new antifreeze mixtures containing non-amine-type corrosion inhibitors, which considers environmental protection, has become a major issue. In this study, four non-amine-type corrosion inhibitors were synthesized and used to produce five kinds of new antifreeze for automobiles to evaluate the rate of copper corrosion. The effects were evaluated by the weight change, surface observation, roughness measurement, and measurement of copper elution in the solution. The amount of copper eluted measured by ICP from Sample 4 was small, and the elution rate was prolonged. Sample 4 showed the best anti-corrosion performance owing to a corrosion suppression effect by passivating copper because the metal surface was smooth after the test, and the corrosion product layer was formed evenly on the surface as small local corrosion was observed. The major corrosion inhibitor added to Sample 4 was 1-aminomethyl(N',N'-di(2-hydroxyethyl)benzotrazole, which contained a certain amount in Sample 5 to show relatively high local corrosion but passivation in progress. Therefore, among the four corrosion inhibitors, 1-aminomethyl(N',N'-di(2-hydroxyethyl)benzotrazole had the highest corrosion inhibitory effect. This corrosion inhibitor prevents corrosion by promoting the passivation of copper on the antifreeze.

Although the voltage-applied discharge method is most widely used in the semiconductor and display industries, periodic management costs are incurred because the method causes defects due to the absorption of ambient fine dust and causes emitter tip contamination due to the discharge. The emitter tip contamination problem is caused by the accumulation of fine particles in ambient air due to the corona discharge of the ionizer. Fuzzy ball generation accelerates the wear of the emitter tip and deteriorates the performance of the ionizer. Although a mechanical cleaning method using a manual brush or an automatic brush is effective for contaminant removal, it requires management of additional mechanical parts by the user. In some cases, contaminants accumulated in the emitter may be transferred to the wafer or product. In order to solve this problem, we developed an ionizer for a clean environment that can remove the pencil-type emitter tip and directly ionize the surrounding gas molecules using the tungsten wire located inside the ion tank. As a result of testing and certification by the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials, the average concentration was $0.7572particles/ft^3$, the decay time was less than two seconds, and the ion valance was 7.6 V, which is satisfactory.
This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of bastnasite nitrate fertilizer (BNF) on the growth of creeping bentgrass. Fertilizer treatments were designed as follows; non-fertilizer (NF), control (CF; compound fertilizer), RE-l (CF+0.3 $g{\cdot}m^{-2}$BNF), RE-2 (CF+0.5 $g{\cdot}m^{-2}$BNF), RE-3 (CF+1.0 $g{\cdot}m^{-2}$BNF) and RE-4 (0.5 $g{\cdot}m^{-2}$BNF). Every treatment was arranged in a randomized complete block design with three replications. In creeping bentgrass, turf qualities such as turf color index and chlorophyll index, shoot number, clipping dry weight and nutrients of tissue were measured. It was hardly affected by BNF application in investigation of chemical properties of the soil. By applying BNF, turf color index and chlorophyll index in RE-2 were increased 3.9% and 9.2% more than NF. As applied BNF on creeping bentgrass, shoot number was increased 9% in RE-4 more than NF and 22% in RE~2 more than CF. It was increased in N uptake and clipping dry weight of creeping bentgrass by supplying BNF. These results indicated that the BNF application promoted a turf qualities and a growth of creeping bentgrass by advancing N uptake and shoot number.
In order to develop a simple and effective method for determining the rate of the Maillard reaction in non-fat dry milk, the carbon dioxide content of the headspace as an indicator were used and the amount of correlation between $CO_2$ content and brown color development were determined by the gas chromatograph. There is a high correlation between brown color and $CO_2$ content. The use of gas chromatography to analyze the $CO_2$ in the headspace of samples is a quick, simple and effective method of monitoring the Maillard reaction. Volatile concentration increases with storage time and varies inversely with oxygen content. Lysine is more effective than glucose in catalyzing the Maillard reaction. Product samples can be stored at $55^{\circ}C$ and $68^{\circ}C$ to accelerate the rate of the Maillard reaction and shorten testing period, but product stored at $75^{\circ}C$ is degraded too rapidly to be of any real use.
