Numerical Study of Surface Heat Transfer Effects of Multiple Fan-Shaped Small-Scale Fins (다중 미세 날개구조의 표면 열전달에 미치는 영향분석)

  • In this work, we study a heat transfer enhancement technology using fan-shaped small-scale fins. Fins having a thickness of 10 ${\mu}m$ move up-down by a pulsating flow. Owing to these motions, the heat transfer on a surface increases dramatically. The two-way FSI (fluid-structure interaction) method was applied for the analysis, and the analysis model was evaluated using a single fin model by comparing the experimental results. In summary, a maximum 40% increase in heat transfer capacity using a single and multiple small-scale fins was obtained in comparison with the results obtained without using fins. From this work, we believe that the proposed method can be a promising method for heat transfer enhancement in real applications.

The Effect of Oral Motor Facilitation Technique(OMFT) on Oral Praxis of Down Syndrome Child : Case Study (구강운동촉진기술이 다운증후군 아동의 구강실행기능에 미치는 효과 : 단일 사례 연구)

  • Goal of this study is to introduce newly developed Oral Motor Facilitation Technique(OMFT), to identify effect of oral motor therapy on oral praxis and oral function of Down syndrome child. OMFT is comprehensive oral motor therapy for improving sensory adaptation, oral sensori-motor function, oral motor coordination of oro-facial structure by therapist's direct manual stroking. Subject was 10years old down syndrome boy. Treatment was practiced 8 times, 15minutes per time, from May to July, 2020. Oral praxis, drooling, quality of chewing ability were tested before and after treatments. Every single items of Oral Praxis Test was increased. Severity and frequency of drooling were decreased. Quality of chewing ability is improved. Through this case study, we can find the positive effect of OMFT on oral praxis, drooling, chewing ability of Down syndrome child.

The Causal Relationship Analysis among Leisure Facilitators, Leisure Constraints Negotiation, Serious Leisure for Winter Sports Participants (동계스포츠 참여자의 여가촉진, 여가제약협상, 진지한 여가의 인과관계분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze Structural relations among leisure facilitators, leisure constraints negotiation, and serious leisure for winter sports participants In order to achieve the purpose of this study, total 320 data were collected who are participating in winter sports at 4 Ski resorts located in Gyeonggi and Gangwon area. The collected data analysis were conducted using SPSS 21.0 and Amos 18.o and its result is as follows; First, through the model-fit validation regarding hypothetical model of leisure facilitators, leisure constraints negotiation and serious leisure, the model-fit was satisfied the standard. Second, leisure facilitators showed no significant effect on both leisure constrains negotiation and serious leisure but leisure constraints negotiation showed significant effect on serious leisure. After validation, all suggested hypotheses were selected. Leisure facilitators showed positive effect on continuous participation on planned, strived serious leisure by encouraging leisure participants and boosted constraints negotiation effort that eliminates negative situation which caused by physical, conscious strategic leisure participation overcoming restricting factors.

  • A ultimate purpose of education is to develop their ability that learners is able to solve present or future immediate problem well. In order to, the educator checks question settlement conditions and leads steadily, the learner needs various data and information for question settlement, and needs communication with many various people. By the way, WEB becomes the source of various data and information that it is naccesary to solve problem for freedom navigation of internet, because accelerates interaction quality communication needed question settlement process, offers the best studying environment for problem solution drilling. A methodolagical tactics for accelerating learner's question solution activity is helped by small-group action drill. According to, this treatise develops system of question solution drilling with web for a basis by small group action drill, applies the fifth grade it experimentally.

Exploring Characteristics and Limitations of a Novice Teacher's Responsive Teaching Practice in Small Group Scientific Argumentation: Focus on Framing (소집단 과학 논변 활동에서 초임 교사의 반응적 교수 실행의 특징과 한계 탐색 -프레이밍을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore characteristics and limitations of a novice teachers's responsive teaching practice, who framed argumentation productively. One novice teacher and two eighth-grade classes participated in this study. Two of the small student groups with active teacher intervention were selected as focus groups. Students engaged in argumentation activity where they built an argument for hearing if the eardrum was torn. We recorded the class and interviews with the teacher and the students, which were transcribed for use in the analysis of the teacher's responsive teaching practices and epistemological, positional framing. We discovered that teacher thought that he should position himself as a facilitator to encourage students to present ideas clearly and to reach consensus. His framing was consistent in responsive teaching practices. Positioning himself as a facilitator, after he framed the discussion as idea sharing discussion by eliciting and probing students' idea, he framed the discussion as argumentative discussion by taking up students' idea and pointing out disagreement between them. As a result, members of small group 1 engaged in argumentative discussion and reached consensus. However, the teacher's productive framing did not guarantee students' productive argumentation practice. In small group 2, he did not elicit and probe students' ideas successfully. As a result, members of small group 2 did not engaged in argumentative discussions. He responded limitedly to the lack of students' conceptions because of lack of understanding about learners. Also, he mainly attended to students' reasoning, and not to students' framing about argumentation because he considered argumentation only as a tool for conceptual learning. The result of this study will contribute to the establishment of responsive teaching in science classrooms.

Exploring the Role of Collaborative Reflection in Small Group Argumentation: Focus on Students' Epistemic Considerations and Practices (소집단 논변 활동에서 협력적 성찰의 역할 탐색 -학생들의 인식적 고려와 실행을 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to explore students' epistemic practices and considerations, which are explained as underlying epistemic thoughts that guide their epistemic practices, during argumentation in science classrooms. We also investigated how collaborative reflection facilitated the development of such epistemic considerations. Two seventh-grade classes participated in this study by engaging in argumentation activities and collaborative reflection after classes. A group with students' change in epistemic aspects and the influence of collaborative reflection clearly revealed from their practices was chosen as a focus group. We recorded their class discussions and collaborative reflections with the researchers. Transcriptions of the recordings and checklists we collected during the collaborative reflections were used for analysis. Results showed evident changes in the students' epistemic considerations and practices and four factors facilitating such developments were identified. First, the researcher facilitating the students to recognize each other as collaborators during collaborative reflection led development of epistemic considerations on "audience using the knowledge products." Second, the collaborative reflection facilitated construction of context for peer interactions where the students encouraged each other to participate in the discussion, resulting in the development of other students' epistemic considerations on "justifications in knowledge products." Third, the items provided on the checklists explicitly delineated expectations on their practices in argumentation, also facilitating development of epistemic considerations. Lastly, the students' imitation of the researcher's pattern of discourse facilitated construction of causal explanation and development of epistemic considerations on "nature of the knowledge products." This study will contribute to the construction of strategies that develop students' epistemic considerations and productive epistemic practices in argumentation.

Single Interaction Force of Biomolecules Measured with Picoforce AFM (원자 힘 현미경을 이용한 단일 생분자 힘 측정)

  • The interaction force between biomolecules(DNA-DNA, antigen-antibody, ligand-receptor, protein-protein) defines not only biomolecular function, but also their mechanical properties and hence bio-sensor. Atomic force microscopy(AFM) is nowadays frequently applied to determine interaction forces between biological molecules and biomolecular force measurements, obtained for example using AFM can provide valuable molecular-level information on the interactions between biomolecules. A proper modification of an AFM tip and/or a substrate with biomolecules permits the direct measurement of intermolecular interactions, such as DNA-DNA, protein-protein, and ligand-receptor, etc. and a microcantilever-based sensor appeared as a promising approach for ultra sensitive detection of biomolecular interactions.

Analysis of Mugwort Oligosaccharides Utilized by Bifidobacteria (Bifidobacteria가 이용한 쑥의 올리고당 분석)

  • The water extract of mugwort was analyzed to see its growth-promoting activity for bifidobacteria and lactobacilli. The growth of bifidobacteria appeared to be enhanced by carbon source in the water extract of mugwort. Bifidobacterium longum seemed to utilize preferentially monosaccharides and oligosaccharides with 2-5 DP (degree of polymerization). The mugwort oligosaccharides were separated by charcoal-celite column chromatography and purified by Bio-gel $P_2$ column chromatography. HPLC chromatograms of the hydrolyzates of oligosaccharides showed that they were mainly composed of galactose and glucose.

Radioprotective Effects of Grifola umbellata Extracts on ${\gamma}$ - Irradiated Mice (저령(猪笭) 추출물이 감마선에 조사된 생쥐에 미치는 방사선 방호효과)

  • 전신 ${\gamma}$-선 조사전 Grifola umbellata(Gu) 추출물의 단일 투여가 생쥐의 생존율, 체중, 기관 무게 및 혈액세포에 미치는 효과를 조사하였다 ${\gamma}$-선 조사 24시간 전에 Gu 추출물을 복강 투여하였을시, ${\gamma}$-선을 조사한 생쥐의 40-day 생존율을 65.5%에서 78.6%로 증가시켰다. Gu 추출물의 투여는 ${\gamma}$-선 조사에 의한 비장과 흉선의 무게 감소를 완전히 막아주었다(P<0.05, P<0.01) 또한 이와 유사하나 다소 적은 방사선 방호효과가 Gu 투여군의 고환에서도 관찰되었다(P<0.05). Gu 추출물의 투여는 ${\gamma}$-선 조사시 나타나는 조사 후 7일째까지의 백혈구와 림프구수의 현저한 감소를 지연시켰고, 회복속도를 촉진시켰다. 또한 21일째후의 적혈구수의 회복을 촉진시켰다. 이와 같은 결과에서 Gu 추출물의 방사선 방호효과를 알 수 있다.

  • 고도 정보화 시대를 향한 세계 전기통신 분야의 눈부신 발전과 함께 전기통신 부문의 국내 표준화의 국제 표준화를 실현하고 첨단기술분야의 연구개발을 촉진하여 선진각국 기술수준으로 향상시키기 위한 전기통신 국제 표준화 조사 연구를 실시해 온 ITU 국내 연구단이 지난 1월 12일에서 13일 이틀에 걸쳐 삼성동 한국 종합전시장 회의실에서 ''92년도 ITU국내 연구단 연구 발표회를 갖고 ''92활동 결과를 마무리 지었다. 이와 함께 국제회의 참가 보고회도 갖고 각종 정보를 서로 교환하는 한편 국제회의 전문가 육성이 시급하다는 데 인식을 같이 했다. 특히 올해부터 세계전기통신 표준화 부문으로 통합$\cdot$이전되는 ITU의 구조개편과 더불어 CCIR과 CCITT로 구분하는 것으로서는 마지막 연구 발표회이기에 그 의미가 자못 크다 하겠다. 이 후에도 전기통신 국제 표준화 조사연구활동이 더욱 더 왕성하고 활발하게 이루어 질 것을 기대하며 지면의 제약으로 인해 전문 게재치 못함을 널리 양해해 주시기 바라면서 이날 발표된 내용 가운데 주요 내용만을 하이라이트로 묶어 보았다.
