EFFECT OF ETCHING TIME ON ENAMEL SURFACE ROUGHNESS: CONFOCAL LASER SCANNING MICROSCOPIC STUDY (공초점 레이저주사현미경을 이용한 산부식 시간에 따른 법랑질 표면 양상에 관한 연구)

  • In order to evaluate the sufficient etching time for successful bonding and also minimizing unnecessary mineral loss, the enamel surface roughness analysis was performed using confocal laser scanning microscopy. Sixty extracted sound human molar teeth were imbedded in the center of acrylic cylinder using self-curing clear resin exposing buccal surface, and then polished with series of SiC paper(220, 500, 800, 1000, 2000, 4000 grit). Each specimen was randomly assigned to six groups(N=10). 37% phosphoric acid was applied to the polished tooth surface for 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 seconds respectively and washed with copious water. After the surface roughness analysis, five roughness parameters(Sa, Sq, Sz, Sdr, Ra) were statistically analysed by ANOVA and Duncan post hoc test. We found that the all five parameters had higher roughness value in 30 seconds etching time, especially parameter Sz showed the lowest value in 10 seconds etching time and the highest value in 30 seconds etching time compared with the other etching times(p<0.05).

COMPARISON OF THE CHRONOLOGY OF ROOT RESORPTION OF DECIDUOUS TEETH BETWEEN EARLY 1990S AND EARLY 2000S (1990년대 초와 2000년대 초의 유치 치근 흡수의 연령 비교)

  • It is essential to have adequate knowledge of the timing of root resorption of deciduous teeth for diagnosis and treatment planning in pediatric and orthodontic dentistry. Dental development is also influenced by hereditary characteristics, environmental factors, race, sex, endocrine reaction, nutrition, socioeconomic condition and secular factor. The aims of the present study were to determine the mean age of root resorption of deciduous teeth in contemporary Korean children and to compare the mean age of root resorption time of deciduous teeth between early 1990s and early 2000s. The study population was made up of Korean children attending the pediatric dentistry ward of Kyungpook National University Hospital. One thousand thirty seven children's panoramic radiograph (girls: 528 persons, boys: 509 persons) in $1990{\sim}1992$ and one thousand sixty five children's panoramic radiograph (girls: 394 persons, boys: 671 persons) in $2001{\sim}2003$ were examined. This study utilized a cross-sectional design. Due to the problems of imaging in the maxillary region and the mandibular incisor region, the mandibular deciduous canine, the mandibular deciduous first molar and the mandibular deciduous second molar were chosen for examination. The results were as follows. 1. There is a tendency for the teeth to resort earlier in the early 2000s group than the in early 1990s group. At the Res c stage, the difference of the mean age was 0.4 years. 2. At the Res c stage, the order of difference of the mean age from smaller to larger for the girls was the mandibular deciduous canine, the mandibular first deciduous molar, and the mandibular second deciduous molar. On the other hand, for the boys, the order was the mandibular second deciduous molar, the mandibular first deciduous molar, and the mandibular deciduous canine. The difference was larger with aging in girls and smaller with aging in boys. 3. There is a tendency for the teeth to resort earlier in girls in both the early 1990s group and the early 2000s group. The difference of the mean age between girls and boys was 0.3 year. 4. The commencement of root resorption of the mandibular deciduous canine was slower than that of the mandibular first deciduous molar. However, the completion of root resorption of the mandibular deciduous canine is faster than that of the mandibular first deciduous molar. The total elapsed time of root resorption from commencement to completion was shortest in the mandibular deciduous canine. 5. For each of the teeth in the early 1990s and the early 2000s groups, the speed of root resorption was in the later stage faster than in the earlier stage. In order to know about the exact timing of root resorption of deciduous teeth, periodic and longitudinal studies preferably covering the entire period of growth, is required.

ULTRA-STRUCTURE AND ACID ETCHING CHARACTERISTICS OF OCCLUSAL FISSURE ENAMEL (교합면 열구 법랑질의 미세구조 및 산부식 형태)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of mechanical and acid treatment on enamel surfaces for the retention of pit and fissure sealants and evaluate the presence of a prismless layer. The etch pattern produced on enamel from immature and mature premolar teeth extracted with varying period of acid etching using 37% phosphoric acid was examined using a scanning electron microscope(SEM). The composition of each groups was evaluated using an energy dispersive x-ray(EDX) spectroscopy. The result of present study can be summarized as follows: 1. Prismless layer was commonly observed on the fissure enamel in young and mature premolar. 2. There were no differences in micro-structure and etching pattern on fissure enamel between the young and the mature premolar. 3. The most effective etching pattern for retention of pit and fissure sealant was observed in 60 seconds of etching time and no apparent difference of etching pattern was found among 15, 30, and 45 seconds of etching time which showed non-retentive etching patterns. 4. The etching pattern obtained by grinding enamel surface with bur followed by 60 seconds of etching was similar to that of 60 seconds of etching without any pretreatment of fissure surface. 5. Type 2 etching pattern was commonly found on fissure enamel in both young and mature premolar. 6. The calcium content and P/Ca ratio in fissure enamel between the young and the mature premolar were significantly different(P<0.05). But content of calcium, phosphate and P/Ca ratio on various regions of fissure enamel in both young and mature premolar did not showed any difference. Based on these results, prismless layer may negatively influence the retention of pit and fissure sealants. Therefore, the mechanical removal of the prismless layer by grinding prior to etching or by prolonged etching time of enamel within the fissure system should result in an improved bonding of a pit and fissure sealant.

Chemical Components in Different Parts of Erigeron annuus (개망초(Erigeron annuus)의 부위별 화학성분)

  • The chemical components of different parts of Erigeron annuus were examined in order to use as a new functional food material. Nitrogen free extract contents of flowers, leaves, stems and roots were 53.15, 55.79, 36.71 and $42.61\%$, respectively. The contents of crude fiber in the stems and roots were similar, while those in leaves were lower than those in the flowers. Mineral components of Erigeron annuus were rich in Na $(19.55\~33.78\;mg/100\;g),\;K (49.95\~89.80\;mg/100\;g)\;and\;Ca(25.39\~116.40\;mg/100\;g)$. Among the portions of Erigeron annuus Ca contents was slightly higher level in tile loaves than those of flowers, stems and roots. The major free sugars of Erigeron annuus were sucrose $(0.12\~1.37\%),\;glucose\;(0.68\~1.08\%)\;and\;fructose\;(0.56\~1.66\%)$. The contents of total amino acid in Erigeron annuus were 2,509.74 mg/100 g in the flowers,2,630.95 mg/100 g in the leaves, 889.54 mg/100 g in the stems, and 1,201.41 mg/100 g in leaves. Abundant amino acids in the flowers and leaves were glutamic acid, tyrosine and proline. And abundant amino acids of stems were lysine, glutamic acid and aspartic acid, and its root were lysine, glutamic acid and proline, Organic acid components of Erigeron annuus were succinic acid $(4.78\~19.72\;mg/100\;g),\;tartaric\;acid\;(3.90\~6.91\;mg/100\;g)\;and\;citric\;acid\;(1.79\~6.60\;mg/100\;g)$. Nine fatty acids in Erigeron annuus were identified and the major fatty acids were myristic acid $(18.05\~20.18\%),\;oleic\;acid\;(18.50\~32.91\%)\;and\;linoleic\;acid\;(18.02\~29.87\%)$. Total flavonoid and phenol contents were higher in leaf and flower extracts than any other extracts.

Comparative Analysis of Three Dragon-man Nicknames Used by Kim Junghee (김정희가 사용한 명호 세 용정의 비교 분석)

  • This study presents the superiority of his calligraphy by analyzing the use, meaning, and calligraphy of nickname three dragon-man(yong-jeong) written by Kim Junghee before and after exile in Jeju Island. Based on the basic structure of the three dragon-man, the relationship between the times, the context, and the characters was studied. Through this change process, the difference of art engineering with other works was analyzed. Kim Junghee intentionally went through a difficult situation by using a nickname with a dragon. He wrote different meanings, uses, and typefaces of the nickname three dragon-man, depending on the circumstances. Finally, Kim Junghee used 'three dragon-man' to King Heonjong and Monk Choui to express his feelings and intentions. His writing was excellent in art engineering and unique in the world. All were found to be supported by his epigraphy insights. The results of this study will be a new methodology for analyzing the meaning of nicknames of ordinary artists.

  • 쥴톰순 냉동기는 스터링 냉동기, GM 냉동기, 스터링형 및 GM형 맥동관 냉동기 등 기계적 극저온냉동기에 비해 단순한 구조, 수 초의 급속한 냉각특성을 장점으로 중대형의 가스액화사이클 뿐만 아니라 적외선검출기의 급속냉각, 저온수술 등 다양한 분야에서 널리 사용되어지고 있다. 일반적으로 100K 이하의 작동온도 및 수 초 수준의 빠른 냉각을 요구하는 적외선검출기의 냉각을 위해서는 수 백기압 이상 고압의 질소 및 아르곤 가스를 사용하는 쥴톰슨 냉동기가 주로 사용되고 있다. 쥴톰슨 냉동기는 핀-관(fin-tube) 형태의 열교환기와 열교환기의 구조적 기반을 제공하는 멘드렐(mandrel), 쥴톰슨 노즐 등으로 구성되며, 열교환기의 열전달 성능 및 유량조절기구의 특성은 냉동기 저온부의 냉각온도, 냉각시간 및 운전시간에 큰 영향을 미친다.

  • 본 논문에서는 AF 기능을 구현함에 있어서 2 백만 화소 카메라 모듈인 Sharp LZ0P3731의 기능, AF 모터 (VCM, Voice Coil Motor)에 작용하는 힘과 구동원리, 이를 구동하기 위한 H/W의 설계 특성, 및 DM270을 이용한 AF 제어 시 Focus Value의 특성 분석을 바탕으로 Focus Value 특성을 고려한 최적 AF 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 본 논문에서 제안한 최적 AF 알고리즘은 '최대의 Focus Value가 각 State의 Step Value 마다 각각 다른 위치에서 검출'되는 AF 모터 및 구동 H/W특성을 고려하여, 최적 AF 기능은 최대의 AF Value에 근접하는 Lens Position 제어가 가능하도록 하였다. 이를 검증하기 위한 윈도우용 S/W로 성능을 확인한 결과, 일반적인 AF 기능은 58 프레임으로 3.87초의 시간이 소요되는 반면, 제안한 AF 기능은 25 프레임으로 1.67초로 2배 이상의 빠른 AF 성능을 가졌다.

  • 일반적으로 광학위성은 궤도가 부정확하여 지상기준점(GCP)을 이용하여 궤도를 보정하는 작업을 수행한 후 수치 표고모형 자료(DEM)를 추출한다. 지상기준점은 실제 측량이나 지형도로부터 얻게 되지만, 이러한 작업이 불가능한 경우에는 광학영상으로부터 수치 표고 모형 자료를 추출할 수 없다. 본 연구에서는 수-수십 cm의 위성 궤도 정확도를 지니는 ESA ERS영상과 약 1Km의 해상도를 지니는 GTOPO-30 DEM을 이용하여 지상기준점을 추출 방법에 대해 연구하였다. 연구지역인 대전 주변에 대하여 지상기준점을 추출한 결과 경도 -0.348초, 위도 0.293초의 오차를 나타내었다. 또한 추출된 지상기준점을 이용하여 한 쌍의 SPOT 위성영상으로부터 DEM을 추출이 가능하였으며, 레이더 interferometry 기술을 이용한 지형고도 추출 및 변화 탐지에도 활용될 수 있음을 확인하였다.

한국 화전농업의 발달과 산지촌락의 형성

  • 이 연구는 한국 화전농업의 역사와 발전과정을 살펴보고, 화전의 분포와 그 요인을 알아보고자 한다. 또한 오대산 부근 지역을 선정하여 화전과 관련한 산지 개간과 촌락의 형성 과정을 야외 조사를 통하여 살펴보고자 하였다. 한국의 화전은 오랜 역사를 갖고 있으며 산림 감독이 소홀한 조선 후기에 와서 화전 면적이 급증, 일제시대에는 최전성기를 보여주었다. 오대산의 깊숙한 고산간지에까지 개척이 이루어진 것은 일제 초의 토지조사사업과 신품종 등 농업기술의 발달에 연유하였다. 일제강점기 초 평지농토에서 쫓겨난 수많은 농민들은 화전으로 농토를 개척할 수 있는 산림지로 이동하였고, 고산간지에서도 생육이 가능한 새로운 품종이나 기술이 보급된 덕분이었다. 이들에 의해 개척된 촌락은 대개 3~4대 정도의 역사를 갖는 씨족이 최고이며 조부대에 이주해온 씨족이 대부분이다. 즉 고산지에서의 산지 개척의 역사가 100년 정도에 불과하다.   • 1970년대초의 오일, 쇼크에 이어 현재는 제2차 석유파동에 들어서고 있다. 이의 발단이 된 .78 년말의 이란정변은 이란석유의 감산에 따라 세계적인 공급이 부족하게 되었다. 이에 따라 .79년 초부터 원유가격이 뜀박질하는 결과를 가져와 세계의 Energy가치는 급속한 템포로 변화하였다. 더욱이 1980년 9월부터 2개월 이상을 끌어온 이란-이라크전쟁은 대폭적인 석유감산과 중동산의 원유유통의 문제화 등으로 바렐(bl:Barrel)당 2$의 공식적인 인상과 현물시장가격의 20% 유가 인상은 석유소비국들을 공포의 도가니로 몰아 넣고 있다. 특히 OPEC(석유수출국기구)의 정책은 자원의 보호라는 미명아래 이른바 "More money for less oil"(생산은 적게 수입은 보다 많이) 라는 말로 생산을 억제하면서 원유가격을 인상하여 수입을 증가시키는 방향으로 변해가고 있다. 이와 같은 석유가격의 고등과 공급이 불안정한 상황하에서 미래의 석유사정을 예측한다는 것은 어려운 일이나, 지금까지 발표된 문헌들을 기초로 미루어 보아 금후의 석유사정과 이것이 자 동차용 연료에 어떠한 영향을 미치나 살펴보기로 한다. 살펴보기로 한다.
