A Study on Mobile Icon Design of iPhone7 (iPhone7을 중심으로 한 아이콘 디자인에 대한 연구)

  • The development of science was crucial to recent advancements in design such as digital contents, UI, GUI, UX design. Not until the DOS evolved into Windows OS were many kinds of digital media design created, namely due to the invention of the computer mouse. A necessary element of mobile phones and Window OS is icons, since icons act as visual symbols, touch buttons and gateways into software content. Icons have undergone many stages of development simultaneously with developments in digital science. We can observe changes in mobile icon design from Skeuomorphism Design to Minimalism to Flat Design. These changes were caused by macro-level trends in design across all other industries. Apple iPhone's Skeuomorphism Design of 2013 evolved into IOS7's Minimalism and Flat Design of 2014. In the mobile world, flat design will again create big changes in design. This research aims to contribute to basic research data of GUI design that are used by creators of mobile apps to understand and anticipate future trends.

Analysis of Coen Brothers's Directing Style: Centering around Crime Movies (코엔 형제의 연출 스타일 분석 :범죄 영화를 중심으로)

  • Through this thesis, I analyzed Coen brothers's directing style centering around Crime movies: Blood simple, Barton Fink, Fargo, The man who wasn't thers, No country for old man. About directing style of Coen brothers, plot is an epic depiction, habitual use of narration, refusal of happy ending. They concern subject matters about human original nature and tragedy by greed. And as motifs, they often use misunderstanding, crossing over, chase. Also they likes characters of ordinary people who is destroyed by greed. How about their technical style? They usually use steady-cam and wide lens in camera, and in his early crime movies he used expressionistic lights, but after that they usually used realistic natural lights. About sound, they likes more sound effects than music. Also they directed realistic acting and emphasized actor's personality. Coen brothers has been directed many crime movies and comedy films. But their unique directing style was particularly outstanding in the crime movies

Design Style Analysis of Jeju Naewotdang Musindo Folk 10 God's Paintings (제주 내왓당 무신도 10신위(神位) 디자인 형태 분석)

  • Developing cultural contents in cultural creativity industry is very practical process recently. Research about Jeju's legend and myth should be the basic theory for cultural contents development based on local cultures. Jeju Naewotdang Musindo 10 gods paintings are unique colored pictures, appointed as Jeju folklore material No.7 and national important folklore material No. 240. Jeju-Do is remained the springhead of absorbed into unique culture for a long time because of Jeju's geographical environment condition. Jeju Musindo could be related with the symbol of Jeju's myth images and the springhead of emotions of our typical country people. It would be analysed by Wucius Wong's design style theory for approaching visual image and symbolic meaning. This research about Jeju Naewotdang Musindo 10 gods paintings could provide design analysis methodology for further theoretical studies about Jeju's legend and myth for Jeju's unique cultural contents.

  • As the importance of the 4th industrial revolution and ICT technology increased, it became a software centered society. Existing software training was limited to the composition of the learning environment, and a lot of costs were incurred early. In order to solve these problems, a learning method using a web compiler was developed. The web compiler supports various software languages and shows compilation results to the user via the web. However, Web compilers that support artificial intelligence technology are missing. In this paper, we designed and implemented a tensor flow based web compiler, Google's artificial intelligence library. We implemented a system for learning artificial intelligence by building a meteorJS based web server, implementing tensor flow and tensor flow serving, Python Jupyter on a nodeJS based server. It is expected that it can be utilized as a tool for learning artificial intelligence in software centered society.

Prior Industry Experience, Product Attributes and Online Customer Review on New Product Sales: TV Products on Chinese Online Shopping (이전사업경험, 제품속성 및 온라인 고객평가가 제품 매출성과에 미치는 영향: 중국 온라인 쇼핑몰내 TV제품 중심으로)

  • This paper examines the effects of prior industry experience, new product attributes and online customer review on new product sales. Different from prior researches on the volume and valence of customer review on online shopping, this paper investigated multiple factors on new product sales in online shopping mall. Based on 407 TV new products in China online shopping mall, we investigated the relationships of kew factors with new products sales. New products of Incumbent TV manufacturers outsell those of new entrants in TV market. Low initial price and low level of discount rate have positive relationships with new product sales. Technological superiority has positive effect on new product sales but the adoptions of new technological functions show different effects on sales. The volume of online consumer review also has positive relationship with new product sales. This paper suggest some theoretical and practical implications and future research directions.

Climate Change and Socioeconomic Change Effects on the Four Major Rivers: An Economic Appraisal (기후변화와 사회경제요인 변화에 따른 4대강의 물부족 피해 추정)

  • Economic analysis of climate change in the Korean peninsula has been conducted in the four major river basins. Although climate change impacts can vary in many terms, typically flood damages from the increase of precipitation and drought from rainless, this research only focused on effects of altering precipitation due to the lack of information and depth-damage functional form in Korea. This research also considered a gamma function of 5 % failure to deal with uncertainty issues in water resources. For the detailed analysis, time different discount rates have been used for short, mid, and long period, viz., 2.76%, 1.45%, and 0.62%, respectively. Over all effects of climate change on four major riverbasins can be summarized as no short period damage except the Han river basin. In the Han river basin, rapid increases of residential water use lead short term water shortage.

Early Development of Policy and Public Understanding of Nanotechnology in Korea (한국의 나노기술:초기 정책 형성과 사회적 수용을 중심으로)

  • Under the strong support of the government, nanotechnology(NT) has been expanded rapidly in Korea. Korea was one of the countries that followed the National Nanotechnology Initiative(NNI) of the US very soon and set up their own policies for NT. This paper argues that the main rationale of the Korean version of NNI was so called 'catch-up strategy' by entering at the early stage of new technology. It stimulated scientists and engineers from various disciplines to do researches and to establish new education programs in NT. Unlike IT and BT, however, such fast and big investment in NT was approved by the public in the sense that there has been few criticism on the governmental NT policies and potential harness of NT. With the relative uninterestedness of the civil society and competititveness seeking policy in NT, ELSI in NT was not included in the Korean version of NNI and the results of technology assessments on NT were not introduced to the public at all.

  • 미진동 제어라는 분야에 대한 연구는 반도체 산업이 초고도화 및 초정밀화가 진전되고 있는 최근에 들어와 학계보다는 전문 반도체와 TFT-LCD의 미진동제어 관련 엔지니어 그룹과 정밀 장비 제작사를 중심으로 이루어져왔다. 고집적 생산 제품을 가공 및 검사하기 위해서는 가공 선폭 이상의 분해 성능을 가진 고정밀도의 생산 및 검사 장비가 필요하다. 이런 고정밀도 생산 및 검사장비는 내외부로부터 입력되는 진동에 민감한 영향을 받는다. 초기 반도체 산업을 주도한 미국을 중심으로 일부 학자와 반도체 진동 제어를 수행하는 전문연구소에서 작성한 BBN-Criteria는 정밀장비의 용도나 분해능 별로 정리된 진동허용규제치를 지침서로 사용하여 왔다. 그러나 장비의 엄밀한 주파수 특성 및 정밀도 측면에서 불확실한 영역부분을 가지고 있기 때문에 미소한 진동을 제어하는 구조 설계자 관점에서는 불충분한 자료이다. 그리고 주파수 분해능을 가진 진동허용규제치를 제시하는 것이 바람직하지만 대부분의 제작사에서는 그렇지 못하고 있다. 그런 이유에는 장비 개개의 진동허용규제치가 다른 고가의 장비 전량에 대하여 시험을 수행해야 하는 점, 가진(加振)특성, 중량, 크기 등의 진동실험 자체에 어려움 때문이다. 또한 진동실험시 가진주파수의 분해능의 결려에 따른 장비의 동적 특성이 고려되지 않은 불확실한 영역 부분을 포함한 진동허용규제치를 제시함으로서 불확실한 영역부분의 진동 하한치를 진동허용규제치의 상한치로 결정하는 문제로 인하여 진동허용규제치가 더욱 가혹하게 제시되어 건물 구조 설계와 방진의 어려움을 가중시킬 여지가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 어려움 등을 회피하는 방법으로 주파수응답함수(Frequency Response Function, FRF)를 이용하여 정밀장비의 진동허용규제치를 결정하는 간편하면서도 더욱 정밀한 새로운 방법을 모색하였다.

  • This study analyzes the socio-economical contexts of Japan's Karaoke inflow in Busan of the 1980s, and examines the relationship between Karaoke culture of the 1980s and 'Noraebang' culture of the early 1990s in Busan from the perspective of the SCOT(social construction of technology) theory. By the end of 1970s, Japan's Karaoke was introduced under the contexts of structural transformations of a geisha tourism in the East Asian regions. Karaoke culture in Busan of the 1970s and 1980s has formulated social recognitions of the novelty of Noraebang culture in the 1990s, although it has done so through the ways of misunderstandings and Nationalism.

Development and Validation of Visual Representation Competence Taxonomy (과학 교수 학습을 위한 시각적 표상 능력의 교육목표 분류체계 개발 및 타당화)

  • Various forms of visual representations enable scientific discovery and scientific reasoning when scientists conduct research. Similarly, in science education, visual representations are important as a means to promote students' understanding of science concepts and scientific thinking skills. To provide a framework that could facilitate the effective use of visual representations in science classroom and systemic science education research, a visual representation competence taxonomy (VRC-T) was developed in this study. VRC-T includes two dimensions: the type of visual representation, and the cognitive process of visual representation. The initial categories for each dimension were developed based on literature review. Then validation and revision was made by conducting teachers' workshop and survey to experts. The types of visual representations were grouped into 3 categories (descriptive, procedural, and explanative representations) and the cognitive processes were grouped into 3 categories (interpretation, integration, and construction). The sub categories of each dimension and the validation process would be explained in detail.
