This paper presents an evaluation of engineering properties in TDFA(Tire Derived Fuel Ash)- based concrete in early age. Concrete containing 0.5 of w/b(water to binder) ratio and 20% of FA(Fly Ash) replacement ratio are prepared, and FA content are replaced with TDFA from 3% to 12% for evaluating the effect of TDFA on fresh and hardened concrete properties. With higher than 6% of TDFA replacement ratio, workability is significantly worsened but it is improved with more SP(Super plasticizer) and AE(Air Entrainer) agent. Concrete with 6~12% of TDFA shows reasonable strength development and better resistance to carbonation and chloride attack in spite of early-aged condition. However concrete with 6% TDFA shows poor resistance to freezing and thawing action due to insufficient air content. If air content and workability are obtained, replacement of TDFA to 12% can be used for concrete with FA.

In this study, the effects of blast furnance slag cement and frost-resistant accelerator on shrinkage properties and shrinkage properties of mortar were examined. As a result, the addition of the frost-resistant accelerator to both OPC and BB has a small effect on the flash properties of mortar and the compressive strength increases from the early ages. In addition, when a frost-resistant accelerator is used in excess of the standard usage amount, it is necessary to examine the relationship of the expansion behavior at the early age, especially, between the compressive strength development and the expansion property. And it was confirmed that the addition of the frost-resistant accelerator tended to increase the shrinkage of mortar using the OPC and BB. With the addition of the frost-resistant accelerator, the amount of pores with a diameter of under the 30nm, especially, the amount of pores with a diameter of 20 to 30nm and the amount of pores with an ink-bottle decrease, and the shrinkage increases. And it is considered that a change in the amount this range of pores has a large effect on the shrinkage property.
This study was performed to obtain the basic data applied to use of synthetic lightweight aggregate concrete affected by alkali silica reaction. The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1. The compressive strength of type A concrete was increased with increase of curing age. At the curing age 28 days, the highest compressive strength was showed at type Band C concrete, respectively. But, it was gradually decreased with increase of curing age at those concrete. 2. The flexural strength of type A concrete was increased with increase of curing age. At the curing age 14 days, the highest flexural strength was showed at type Band C concrete, respectively. But, it was gradually decreased with increase of curing age at those concrete. 3. The correlation between compressive and flexural strength of the sample was shown highly significant only at type A concrete. 4. It was shown that the water absorptions of the type Band C were 7.0-7.8 times higher than the type A concrete. It was significantly higher at the early stage of immersed time at all sample. 5. The correlation between compressive strength and water absorption of the sample was significant only at the type A concrete.
This study is experimentally investigated the effects of various steam curing parameters on the early-age compressive strength development of high strength concrete (over 40 MPa) in the precast plant production. High strength concrete are used only ordinary portland cement (type I) and water-cement ratio selected 3cases (25%, 35% and 45%). Also, steam curing parameters are as followings ; (1) Preset period 2cases (3 hours and 6 hours) (2) Maximum curing temperature 3cases ($45^{\circ}C$, $55^{\circ}C$ and $65^{\circ}C$) (3) Maintenance time of curing temperature 3cases (4 hours, 6 hours and 8 hours) (4) Maximum rate of heating and cooling $15^{\circ}C$/hr. Initial setting time and adiabatic temperature rising ratio of these concrete according to water-cement ratio are tested before main tests and examined the compressive strength development for the steam curing parameters. Also compressive strength are compared with optimum steam curing condition and standard curing at test ages. As test results, the optimum steam curing conditions for high strength concrete(over 40 MPa) are as followings. (1) Preset period ; over initial setting time of concrete (2) Maximum curing temperature ; bellow $55^{\circ}C$ (3) Maintenance time of curing temperature ; bellow 6hours. Also strength development of steam curing concrete show in the reversed strength at 28 days. It is to propose an efficient steam curing condition for high strength concrete in the precast method.

An analytical method to predict the flexural behavior of composite girder is presented in which the early-age properties of concrete are specified including maturing of elastic modulus, creep and shrinkage. The time dependent constitutive relation accounting for the early-age concrete properties is derived in an incremental format by expanding the total form of stress-strain relation by the first order Taylor series with respect to the reference time. The sectional analysis calculates the axial and curvature strains based on the force and moment equilibriums. The deflection curve of the box girder approximated by the quadratic polynomial function is calculated by applying to the proper boundary conditions in the consecutive segments. Numerical applications are made for the 3-span double composite steel box girders which is a composite bridge girder filled with concrete at the bottom of the steel box in the negative moment region. The one dimensional finite element analysis results are compared with those of the three dimensional finite element analysis and the analytical method based on the sectional analysis. Close agreement is observed among the three methods.

Most of shrinkage is mainly caused by autogenous shrinkage in Ultra high strength steel-fiber reinforced cementitious composites(UHSFRC). water to binder ratio is very low, about 0.2. It occurs faster hydration and cause a large amount of autogenous shrinkage in early ages. the large autogenous shrinkage can cause harmful cracks in a structure and deteriorate the designed structural performance. therefore it is very important to predict the autogenous shrinkage accurately. The study about the autogenous shrinkage of UHSFRC was carried out in this paper. through comparing with JSCE recommendations for UHSFRC, it was found out that UHSFRC in this study showed higher autogenous shrinkage than that of JSCE. And Applicability of early proposed models by some researchers was also investigated. the analytical results let us know that Miyazawa's model showed the best agreement with the experimentally obtained autogenous shrinkage of UHSFRC.

RC(Reinfored Concrete) structures exposed to carbonation in urban city have durability degradation with extended service life and cracks in concrete causes a local accelerated carbonation. In the present work, crack effect on carbonation depth is investigated and the service life of RC structure is evaluated considering cracks from early age and time-dependent cracks based on the previous field investigation. DFP(Durability Failure Probability), safety index, and the related service life are calculated considering the time to crack width reaches to maximum crack width(0.3mm). The results with time effect on crack width show lower DFP and longer service life, which seems to be reasonable compared with conservative results from crack effect from initial stage. Furthermore, crack effect is evaluated to be insignificant on DFP and service life. The technique with time-dependent crack effect on carbonation can be effectively used for RC structure containing cracking in use.

This study analyzed the fundamental characteristics of concrete according to a ternary system mixing in order to reduce hydration heat of mass concrete and to improve early age strength. The results are as follows. The fluidity of unconsolidated concrete satisfied the target scope regardless of the binder conditions. When the replacement ratio between FA and BS increased, the slump of low heat-A mix and low heat-B mix increased, and air content was not affected by the change of binders. As for setting time, low heat cement mix had the fastest regardless of W/B, and high early strength low heat mix achieved 6 hours' reduction compared with low heat-B mix at initial set, and 12 hours' reduction at the final set respectively. As for the simple hydration heat, the low mix peak temperature was the highest and low heat-B mix had the lowest temperature. And high early strength low heat mix was similar with that of low heat-B. The compressive strength of hardened concrete had similar strength scope in all mixes except for low heat-B mix at early ages, and had unexceptionally similar one without huge differences at long-term ages.

To analyze possibility for high performance concrete that massively displaces blast furnace slag, this study analyzed the characteristics of concrete by blast furnace slag displacement rate changes, and the results are summarized as follows. Firstly, as for fresh concrete characteristics, flow tended to increase and air amount decreased with increase in blast furnace slag displacement rate, and settling time was shown delayed. As for hardened concrete characteristics, in conditions where blast furnace slag displacement rate increased up to 50%, the compressive strength decreased below OPC at early age, however at age 28 days, its level was no less than that of OPC, and as for temperature rise by simple insulation, it decreased as displacement rate increased at early stage of hydration, but in the latter stage, hydration progress slowed down and hydration heat increased.

This research investigated the feasibility of incorporating industrial by-products into precast concrete formulated with blast furnace slag and natural gypsum. Specifically, the study examined the effects of incorporating steelmaking slag(STS slag), combined heat power plant fly ash, and return dust. The optimal amount of these by-products was determined by measuring air content, slump, and compressive strength at various incorporation levels. Results demonstrated that compressive strength was enhanced across all levels of by-product addition. Notably, incorporating 10% of the by-products led to exceptional early-age strength development. However, a 20% addition of combined heat power plant ash significantly reduced the slump value by approximately 40%. Considering these findings and the requirement for rapid strength development in precast concrete applications, a 10% incorporation of industrial by-products was deemed optimal due to its ability to accelerate early-age strength gain.
