Flexural Failure Behaviour of RC Beams Strengthened by CFS according to Loading Condition (CFS로 보강된 RC보의 가력상태에 따른 휨파괴 거동)

  • The purpose of this research are to investigate experimentally flexural strengthening effects and flexural behaviour of RC beams strengthened by carbon fiber sheet(CFS) with/without superimposed pre-load. Test parameters of experiment are tension reinforcement ratio(0.85, 1.32, 1.91%) and pre-load(80% of yield capacity of unstrengthened beams). The structural behaviour of strengthened beams are compared with in terms of yield load and ultimate load, load-deflection relation, ductility, strengthened efficiency. From the test results, it were shown that ultimate capacity and flexural failure behaviour of RC beams strengthened by CFS changed by initial stresses between original beams and bonded CFS.

Failure Behavior of Non-seismic RC Column with aspect ratio of 4.0 (형상비 4.0인 비내진 철근콘크리트 기둥의 파괴거동)

  • Two octagonal RC bridge columns of small scale model were tested under cyclic lateral load with constant axial load. One in two specimens was solid cross section, the other was hollow cross section. The volumetric ratio of transverse spiral hoop of all specimens is 0.00206. The columns showed flexure-shear failure. Failure behavior and seismic performance were investigated. The test results showed that the structural performance of the hollow specimen such as initial crack pattern, initial stiffness, and energy dissipation performance was comparable to that of the solid specimen, but the lateral strength, ultimate displacement, energy dissipation performance of hollow specimen noticeably decreased after drift ratio of 3%.

Inelastic Behavior of Reinforced Concrete Frame Structure with Shear Strength of Masonry Wall (조적벽의 전단강도를 고려한 철근콘크리트골조의 비탄성 거동)

  • In this study the inelastic behavior of the existing school buildings with infilled masonry walls is analysed by pushover method. The shear stiffness and strength of masonry wall is calculated from the prior experimets and verified by inelastic analysis. The height of infilled masonry wall affects the structural behavior. The higher the masonry wall height, the higher the initial shear stiffness and strength of masonry wall. As the cracks are developed, the strength of masonry wall is much decreased. The proposed inelastic analysis method shows similar results with the experiments and can be used as inelastic analysis model of reinforced concrete buildings with infilled masonry walls.

  • In this paper, the wrinkling behavior of vertically creased corner-loaded square membranes was studied using geometrically nonlinear post-buckling analysis. The membranes were modeled using shell elements, and the meshes were seeded with semi-random geometrical imperfection to instigate the buckling deformation. A pristine and creased membranes with various initial deployment angles were considered in the analyses and the results were compared. Results showed that local wrinkles initiated near the corner where the higher load was applied, which grew to form a single diagonal global wrinkle as the load ratio increased. It was also found that the local wrinkle initiation and the global wrinkle formation were significantly dependent on the initial deployment angles.

  • For the efficient performance of steel and composite building structures subjected to strong earthquake, one of current research investigates the cyclic behavior of open-web composite beams. Both experimental test and nonlinear FEM analysis demonstrate their behavior so ductile that four T-sections around the corners of rectangular web-opening develop plastic hinges prior to potential brittle failure at the beam end, i.e. at the column face. This research proposes simplified equations for determining strength and initial stiffness of composite beams with a rectangular web-opening, and compares its results with those of experimental test and nonlinear FEM analysis.

Analysis of Early Behavior of Concrete Pavement with Initial Measurements (콘크리트 포장(鋪裝)의 초기계측(初期計測)을 통한 초기거동(初期擧動) 특성분석(特性分析))

  • The purpose of this paper is to analysis of initial behavior of concrete pavement with initial measurement strain gauge for concrete pavement at field, and to investigate the field test results for field applicability testing. The early-age behaviors of concrete pavement slabs were measured using the strain gauges. From the slab depths and positions, the outputs from each gauges were recorded at initial curing period. The initial measurement of concrete pavement and check of crack at the joint were performed, the results could be summarized as follows. From the results of concrete strength, compressive strength and flexural strength were showed $271kgf/cm^2$, $43kgf/cm^2$ respectively. From the tests of early-age strain measurement, it was found that the strain varied at the maximum value of $150{\mu}{\varepsilon}$ and early behavior of concrete slab was showed a tensile strain. However, for long-term was showed a compressive strain due to dry-shrinkage.

  • 본 연구에서는 골조의 안정과 구조적인 거동에 영향을 미치는 2차 효과에 의한 기하학적 비선형 문제, 세장비가 작은 부재 단면의 소성, 보-기둥 접합부의 상태, 그리고 부재 내부에 발생되어 있는 기하학적 초기결함을 고려한 복합적인 비선형 해석프로그램을 개발하여, 철골조 구조물의 거동을 근사적으로 예측하고자 한다. 그리고, 각 비선형 해석의 신뢰성을 검증하고, 상호관계를 파악되기 위해서 각 해석에 따른 좌굴하중과 거동을 비교 검토한다.

고에너지 B 이온주입에 의해 형성된 결함의 열처리 거동특성

  • 고에너지 이온 주입에 의해 형성되는 결함의 거동을 DLTS(deep level transient spectroscopy)를 통해 조사하였다. 이온 주입에 이용된 기판들은 서로 다른 산소 농도를 가지고 있었으며, B 이온의 주입 농도는 각각 5X10E13 ~ 4X10E14으로 주입 에너지는 1.5MeV였다. 이온 주입에 의해 형성된 buried layer 내의 boron의 농도는 SIMS(secondary ion mass spectroscopy)를 이용하여 측정하였으며, 열처리에 따른 이차 결함의 생성은 TEM(transmission electron microscopy) 및 BMD(bulk micro defect)를 조사함으로써 알 수 있었다. 이온 주입에 의해 형성된 일차 결함의 제거 및 silicon 내부에서의 금속 gettering을 위하여 furnace 및 RTA (rapid thermal annealing)를 이용한 열처리를 행하였다. 이온주입 초기 상태 및 산소의 농도 또는 이온주입의 농도에 따른 결함을 살펴보기 위하여 DLTS를 이용하였으며, 또한 열처리에 따른 이러한 초기 결함들의 거동을 조사하여 TEM 및 BMD 결과와 비교, 분석하였다.

Experimental Study on Influence of Levee Breach Depth on Flood Wave Propagation in Inundation Area (제방붕괴깊이 조건에 따른 제내지 범람홍수파 거동 실험)

  • 본 연구에서는 제방붕괴에 의한 제내지 홍수파 거동 해석의 일환으로 제방붕괴시 제방의 붕괴깊이에 따른 제내지에서의 홍수파의 거동 양상을 수리실험을 통하여 고찰하였다. 다양한 제방붕괴폭과 초기하도수위 및 제방붕괴고 조건에 대해 범람홍수파의 전파속도와 제내지에서의 최대수심의 변화를 실험을 통하여 관찰하였다. 범람홍수파 선단(wave-front)의 이동속도는 동일한 하도수위조건에서는 붕괴고가 높을수록 감소하는 것으로 나타나 제방붕괴시 월류수심 $H_w$가 범람홍수파 전파속도에 영향을 준다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 모든 실험조건에서 최대수심은 일정한 경향을 띠고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 제방인근 지점에서 최대수심이 가장 크게 나타났고, 붕괴부로부터 일정 지점이 지나면 수위가 급격히 감소하여 거리에 관계없이 일정한 최대수심을 유지하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 동일 수위조건이라면 제방붕괴고가 낮을수록 제내지로 유입되는 유량이 증가하여 초기에 제방붕괴부 주위에서 수심이 높아지는 것으로 분석할 수 있다. 실험결과를 이용하여 범람홍수파의 전파속도와 최대수심을 산정하는 식을 무차원변수를 이용하여 제시하였다.
