U-healthcare, which grafted advanced IT technology onto medical technology, is in the limelight because it can provide medical services at anytime and anywhere. U-healthcare system applied RFID technology for Implantable Medical Device (IMD), but patient's biometric information can be easily exposed to third parties. In this article, RFID-based U-healthcare authentication protocol is proposed to prevent illegal usage for personal biometric information exposed to the third patty. The proposed protocol guarantees patients' biometric information integrity as compounding random numbers between administrators and hospital/clinic managers, and uses continuous number SEQ and time stamp T to synchronize IMD/administrators and administrators/hospital managers. Also, to protect user's privacy from the third party, patients' biometric information can be safely guarded by managing patients' security identifiers by administrators.

Among U-healthcare services adapting the latest IT technique and medical technique, a body-injecting device technique providing medical service to a patient who has incurable disease. But the body-injecting device technique can be easily exposed during wireless section to the third person and it can be used illegally. This paper proposes certification protocol which certifies a patient and hospital staff using random number created by certification server and a patient with hospital staff by synchronization. Specially, the proposed protocol uses security information created by information registered in certification server previously by a patient and hospital staff so that in keeps from accessing of third person who didn't get approval. And it gives more stability.

IT technology of U-healthcare system is being grafted onto medical services and the use of U-healthcare system are extending steadily. However, in case of patients using Implantable Medical Device (IMD) in U-healthcare system, patients' privacy protection and safe access to system recently has emerged as a major issue. This paper proposes a patients' privacy protection protocol to prevent any illegal accesses from third parties as state value and action value are synchronized after patients' information virtualization. The proposed protocol can limit the access range of patients' information according to authentication information of hospitals, doctors, nurses, and pharmacies registered in the U-healthcare server. Additionally, this protocol can increase management efficiency for patients' privacy by synchronizing state values and action values only for approved information and, by instituting this process, third parties cannot easily access patients' information.
Body insertion due to the recent development of sensor technology, the device is attached patients to receive medical services from anywhere, anytime environment is changing. Body insertion devices for the hospital, the patient's vital information attached personnel (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, etc.) to pass, however, when a problem occurs, a patient's information to a third party that can be exploited easily exposed. In this paper, we proposed signature authentication protocols mandate based on the patient's power of attorney from the center of the u-Healthcare services, hospital officials FormHelper third party disguised as a patient, the hospital patient information easily obtained from the officials to prevent. The proposed protocol, the patient's sensitive information to a third party, do not expose the patient's sensitive information to the random number generated by the u-Healthcare service centers and patients hash signature key to encrypt sensitive information of patients. From third parties to maintain synchronization between the patients and the hospital personnel in order to prevent patient information from being exploited illegally by the patient's vital information leakage can be prevented.
Wireless access network section needs strong security which supports high data rate and mobility not to invade patient's privacy by exposing patient's sensitive biometric from automatic implantable device that is adapted to u-healthcare service. This paper builds test bed and performs assessment and measurement of security ability of WiMAX network to transmit and receive mobile patient's biometric by building WiMAX network in wireless access network not to expose paitne's biometirc at wireless access network section to the third person. Specially, this paper compares and assesses data security, MAC control message security, handover conection delay, and frame loss and bandwidth of ECDH at the layer of WiMAX security compliance, WiMAX MAC IPSec, and MAC.
Recent advancement of USN technology has lent itself to the evolving communication technology for implantable devices in the field of medical service. The wireless transmission section for communication between implantable medical devices and patients is a cause of concern over invasion of privacy, resulting from external attackers' hacking and thus leakage of private medical information. In addition, any attempt to manipulate patients' medical information could end up in serious medical issues. The present study proposes an authentication protocol safe against intruders' attacks when RFID/USN technology is applied to implantable medical devices. Being safe against spoofing, information exposure and eavesdropping attacks, the proposed protocol is based on hash-function operation and adopts session keys and random numbers to prevent re-encryption. This paper verifies the security of the proposed protocol using the formal verification tool, Casper/FDR.
Among recent issues emerging in the areas related to the society, health has received the most attention. In this paper, for a patient unable to do self-care because of worsened diseases, a biological information transfer method is proposed by which the disease information can be securely managed, by attaching an implantable device into the body. Our method object of the invention is to prevent a third party from illegally intercepting and interfering with the biological information attached to the insertion device in the body. In the proposed technique to improve the safety of the patient between the hospital and physician by assigning each code to the biometric information of the patient in order to prevent a third party tapping and interfering. In addition, our method is assigned a code necessary for encoding in advance to confirm the biological information between the patient and the hospital (doctor) in a manner dividing the bio-information code. In particular, the proposed technique makes a third party unable to illegally tap or interfere in, by previously generating a code used for encoding so that it can be stored in the database of the hospital, which not only decreased hospital care time to 6.9%, but also increased work efficiency rate up to 12.7%.
To provide medical services to patients who have a terminal illness, recent hospital patients to monitor the state of the device attached to the body, the body insertion device is. U-Healthcare Environment and hospital officials indiscriminately exploited by the patient's vital information, however, could threaten the patient's life problems are appearing. In this paper, depending on the level of authority, hospital officials, Union of ID-based authentication model is proposed to use a patient's vital information. Union proposed model identify different authentication system is used in hospitals that exist in various forms in a number of ID information, health / medical information sharing between hospitals without exposure to unnecessary personal information, you can be assured of the anonymity. In particular, with easy access to patient information, hospital officials about the malicious act to protect patient information to access level for the rights granted by third parties to prevent easy access.
Due to a change of food culture, many patients suffering from various diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, stroke, cancer. However, it takes a long time in the hospital for many patients due to the administration before the patient care process. In this paper, we propose a m-Healthcare service model that patients can receive medical services without the inconvenience offers by reducing the administrative hospital treatment that can automatically recognize through the hospital installed RFID readers when the patient patients with various diseases are foreign to the hospital. In particular, the proposed model improves the operational efficiency of the existing healthcare system by shortening the treatment time for medical personnel to help patients in emergency situations can determine automatically the patient's status does not give the disease type and condition of the patient to health care personnel. Test results, service latency, efficiency, etc. patient satisfaction, and evaluate the existing health care system model results, the proposed method was improved service delay existing techniques average 16.5% efficiency was higher 27% of patients service satisfaction was improved by 22.4% on average.
