Implant Supported Overdenture using Milled Titanium Bar with $Locator^{(R)}$ Attachment on Fully Edentulous Maxillae : A Case Report (상악 완전 무치악에서 $Locator^{(R)}$ attachment가 장착된 milled titanium bar를 이용한 임플란트 지지 피개의치: 증례 보고)

  • The purpose of this case report is to introduce new attachment system(milled titanium bar with $Locator^{(R)}$ attachment) for implant supported overdenture in maxillary edentulous patients. A 56-years-old male patient visited the hospital due to the mobility of his maxillary fixed partial dentures(10-unit bridge). Including temporomandibular joint(TMJ), there was no specific PMHs to influence dental treatment. In radiographic and clinical evaluation, there was a severe bone resorption and mobility in maxillary teeth. Accordingly all the remaining maxillary teeth was extracted and fabrication of implant supported overdenture was planned. The milled titanium bar with $Locator^{(R)}$ was designed as an attachment system, considering the stability and retention of denture, masticatory efficiency, oral hygiene care, esthetics, pronunciation, and patient's financial state. The milled titanium bar was manufactured using CAD/CAM technology, and $Locator^{(R)}$ attachment connected to the bar by tap & drill method. For over 1-year, in terms of function and esthetics, satisfactory result was obtained.

  • Universal motors are mainly used for vacuum cleaner application. There are a lot of researches on SRM that applys home appliance throughout the world. The manufacturing cost of SRM drive makes it hard to expand its application to home appliance. This paper presents Single Phase SRM for the vacuum cleaner that has advantge in cost and performance over conventional universal motor. This paper proposes new power device driving scheme by using SRM switching characteristic. The driving scheme is very simple and inexpensive. Dwell Time Control method is used for the minimum switching loss of power device. The switching frequency of power device is less than 4.5kHz at 45,000rpm. By use of this scheme, power device based on very small switching losses can be used on SRM drive. Also, the biggest problem in single phase SRM is starting, this paper shows a new starting algorithm with two hall sensors, accelerating and running sensors, respectively. Finally, the proposed Single Phase SRM achieves higher efficiency and long life time compared to universal motor. Its life time is more than 1500 hours. Its life time is extended 4 times than that of conventional motor and its suction power is increased $20\%$ at the same volume of conventional universal motor.

  • The performance of track cleaning trains to remove accumulated fine particulate matter in subway tunnels depends on the design of the suction system equipped under the train. To increase the efficiency of the suction system under the cleaning vehicle, this paper proposes a novel dust suction module equipped with both air blowing nozzles and a dust suction structure. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis with turbulent flow was conducted to optimize the dust suction system with a particle intake and blowing function. The optimal angle of the air blowing nozzle to maximize the dust removal rate was found to be 6 degrees. The performance of the track cleaning vehicle can be increased by at least 10 percent under an operation speed of 5km/h.

  • This study is for the design developement of wall mount air purification device used for pleasant and clean resident environment. As more people have the high standard of living, they are interested in the air quality of indoor environment, since it is believed its relationship with human health. Now the social demand of air purifier is increasing. Its market is growing and there are various design products in the market. However, dominant current products are floor-based standing type, it needs much spaces to install for the air inhalation and exhaust. Therefore, this product provides the space-saved design. Its concept comes from existing wall mount type air conditioners. The effect of wall decoration is another merit of this proposal. It has an easy filtering change and cleaning system and a simple operation of multiple functions. This product also has the perfect-matched slim design that is consist of natural curves with rectangle for any indoor spaces.

  • Wall-climbing robots have been developed for various purposes, such as cleaning skyscraper windows, maintaining large structures, and welding vessels. Conventional wall-climbing robots use movement systems based on wheels or legs. However, wheeled robots suffer from slipping effects, while legged systems require many actuators and control systems for the complex linkage structure, which also increases the weight of the robot. To overcome these disadvantages, we propose a new wall-climbing robot that walks based on gorilla locomotion. The proposed robot consists of a DC drive motor, a vacuum pump for adsorption, and a micro controller for controlling the system. The performance of the robot was experimentally verified on vertical and horizontal flat surfaces. The robot could be used for various functions in industrial sites or disaster areas.

  • Small household appliances such as electric rice cooker, a vacuum cleaner, an electric fan, etc. are diverse and complex due to the materials and components and waste streams from the manufacturing processes. In the present study, physical characterization of small e-wastes was analyzed on major items including electric rice cooker after manual dismantling. Small household appliances is an important potential source of waste plastic, however, recycling plastics from small e-waste is still unusual. The present communication gives results of separation processes on black plastics and the limitations of these sorting processes in used small household appliances.

  • The term 're-use' here signifies the re-use of end-of-life products without changing their form after they have been thoroughly inspected and cleaned. In the re-use network model, the distributor determines the product order quantity on the network through which new products are received from the suppliers or products are supplied to the customers through re-use of the recovered products. In this paper, we propose a reusable network model for reusable products that considers the total logistics cost from the forward logistics to the reverse logistics. We also propose a reusable network model that considers the processing and disposal costs for reuse in an optimal inventory management environment. The authors employe Genetic Algorithm (GA), which is one of the optimization techniques, to verify the validity of the proposed model. And in order to investigate the effect of the parameters on the solution, the priority-based GA (priGA) under three different parameters and the modified Hybrid GA (mhGA), in which parameters are adjusted for each generation, were applied to four examples with varying sizes in the simulation.

  • 우리나라에서는 급속도로 진행되고 있는 도시화의 영향으로 토지사용 방법이 변화함에 따라 도심지 내 불투수율이 증가하고 있으며, 불투수면적과 강우유출량 또한 증가하였다. 이러한 변화는 도심홍수, 수질오염 등의 피해를 더욱 심화시킬 뿐 아니라, 도시유역 물순환 체계 및 자연생태계 균형 파괴 등의 심각한 환경문제를 발생시키고 있다. 이에 국내 외에서 도시유역 물순환 체계 관련 다양한 대안이 검토되고 있으며 외국에서는 약 20년 전부터 저영향개발 (Low Impact Development; LID)을 통한 수자원의 활용과 환경 친화적인 개발에 관심을 기울이고 있다. 국내에서 주로 사용되는 LID 기법은 소규모 유출저감 시설과 녹지면을 이용하여 빗물을 분산시키는 분산형 유출저감 시설물이 있다. 분산형 유출저감 시설물은 빗물의 발생원에서 빗물을 침투 저류시켜 저류된 빗물은 조경용수, 청소용수, 하천 유지용수 등으로 이용하는 친환경 빗물관리 방식으로 침투도랑, 측구형 침투시설, 식생수로, 빗물 저류조, 투수성 블록 등의 다양한 시설물이 이에 포함된다. 현재 이와 같이 LID 시설물이 급속도로 증가하고 있으나 시설물의 저감효과 분석을 위한 모니터링관련 연구가 많지 않은 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 LID 시설물의 유출 저감효과를 분석하기 위해 부산대학교 양산캠퍼스 실증실험단지에 설치되어 있는 LID 시설물의 모니터링 계측결과를 바탕으로 다양한 강우사상에 따른 LID 시설물의 유출저감 효과를 분석하였다. 대상지역의 정확한 유출저감 효과를 분석하기 위한 방안으로 자료의 이상치, 결측치 등을 보정하는 방안을 고려하였으며 실험실증단지에 내리는 강우의 지속시간, 총강우량, 선행강우에 따라 강우사상을 분류하여 이를 토대로 강우사상 별 LID 시설물의 유출 저감효과와 유출 지속시간에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다.

  • 본 연구는 급변하는 기후변화에 대응하기 위한 이동식 전처리 여과취수장치 및 이를 이용한 물 생산용 취수시스템에 관한 것으로 홍수시나 가뭄시 이물질과 부유물질의 제거를 통해 후속 여과 장치의 부하 경감과 여과 효율의 극대화를 꾀할 수 있고, 필요시 비상용수 및 생활용수로 신속히 활용할 수 있는 시설에 관한 것이다. 기존 이동식 물생산장치의 수처리 공정은 1NTU 내외의 깨끗한 물이 유입되지 않으면 여과기(RO SYSTEM) 막이 폐색되어 생산된 물의 수질이 일정치 않아 재난 시 활용하는데 어려움이 있었다. 반면에 본 연구의 물 생산용 취수시스템은 전처리 여과취수를 통해 이물질과 부유물질의 제거가 가능하여 후속 여과 장치의 부하 경감을 통해 유지관리비용 최소화와 여과 효율의 극대화를 꾀할 수 있고, 필요시 신속히 생활용수로 활용할 수 있으며, 다양한 급수원(하천, 저수지, 댐, 지하수 등)을 통한 수량 확보가 가능하고, 평상시 다용도(하천정화, 녹조제거, 도로 청소, 조경수 등)로 사용이 가능한 물생산시스템이다. 또한, 비상시 이동식 차량에 탑재하여 이동 및 운반이 가능할뿐만 아니라 저수지나 댐 또는 하천 등의 원수를 취수하여 이중 관 구조의 여과기를 통한 전처리로 지속적인 여과력을 발휘하여 이물질이나 부유물질을 신속히 제거하고, 역세척수 공급으로 여과재를 쉽게 역세척할 수 있어 여과 성능의 저하를 방지할 수 있다. 본 연구에서의 이동식 전처리 여과취수장치는 다양한 조건에서의 수치모의를 수행하여 평상시나 비상시 다용도의 필요수량을 확보할 수 있도록 장치의 최적화를 수행하였으며, 이를 통해 안정적인 수자원 확보와 활용이 가능하고, 국내 물 시장에서 물생산시스템의 다양성을 확보하여 국민경제에 기여할 수 있고, 향후 물 부족 국가의 ODA 사업에 진출하여 수출증대 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것이다.

A Study on the Consciousness of Maintenance Work of Small-scale Apartment Owners (소규모 공동주택 소유자의 유지관리 업무에 대한 의식구조 분석)

  • This paper aims to analyze the priority of elements in building management system surveying owners living in Small-scale Apartment, and to suggest basic data for establishing effective management alternatives. To achieve the goal, this paper extracted the elements from a guideline supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in Korea, and tried to analyze their priority. The result as follows. First, the analysis of the first level suggested that people give priority to facility management, moving management, security management and administrative for management. Second, on the analysis of the second level, settlement of budget was the most important for the administrative, cleaning for facility management, parking management for security management and advertisement of the administrative for moving management. By suggesting the result, this paper concludes that it would be very important to establish a regional management corporation to manage the Small-scale Apartment.
