  • VBR로 압축된 멀티미디어 데이터는 비트 변화율이 매우 큰 편차로 변하기 때문에 자원 예약 관리가 매우 힘들다. 따라서 MPEG데이터의 참조 패턴을 오프라인으로 분석한 메타 테이블을 근거로 과부하 구간에서 미리 선반입하여 시스템의 활용율을 높이는 선반입 기법을 사용하고 있으나, 기존의 선반입 기법은 상영실패는 발생하지 않지만 선반입 임계슬롯이 증가하면서 버퍼 점유량이 증가되어 최소의 적재시간과 적재비용을 유지할 수 없다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 선반입 구간을 고정함으로써 적재비용과 적재시간을 일정한 범위 이하로 유지하면서 시스템 자원의 활용율을 높이는 방법을 제안한다. 그리고 고정 선반입 구간을 사용할 경우 발생하는 상영 실패를 GOP내의 B프레임에 한정하며, Drop모듈을 이용하여 미디어 질 저하를 전체 사용자에게 분산시키는 방법을 제안한다.

  • 그리드와 같은 대규모 컴퓨팅 자원이 연결되어 이용되는 분산처리 환경에서 가장 중요한 기능중에 하나가 자원 탐색(lookup)기능이다. 찾기 기능은 미리 정해진 형태로 지원을 등록하고 이 정보를 중앙에서 관리하는 단일기관이나 소규모로 분산된 컴퓨팅 자원을 공유하는 환경에서는 문제되지 않는다. 그러나 임의로 가입과 탈퇴가 가능하고 대규모로 자원이 연결된 그리드 환경에서는 빠른 자원 탐색이 성능의 기본 요소가 된다. 이 논문에서 그리드 환경에서 자원탐색 방법으로 분산형 자원탐색 방법인 Chord시스템을 이용하고 자원탐색방법을 신뢰성 있게 유지하기 위해 메시지큐를 이용하여 시스템을 모델링하고 시스템을 설계한 내용을 기술하였다. 이를 위하여 Chord시스템에 Message Queue System을 통합하여 응용 프로그램에서 요청한 자원탐색을 메시지 큐에 저장하여 노드가 failure되거나 네트워크가 분할이 되더라도 메시지 큐에 저장된 내용을 바탕으로 일관성을 유지할 수 있는 방법을 제시하였다.

The Effect of Pile Distallation on the Reduction of Cumulative Plastic Settlement (말뚝 설치를 통한 콘크리트궤도의 누적소성침하 감소 효과)

  • An active application of concrete track is being expected far the future constructions of Korean railroad. In comparison with the existing ballasted tract, a concrete track is very susceptible for the settlement, since its rehabilitation requires much time and cost. When a concrete track is constructed on fine-grained subgrade soil, excessive cumulative plastic settlements due to repetitive train road may occur. In this case, the settlement of the concrete track may be effectively reduced by installing a small number of small-diameter piles beneath the track. This paper presents the effect of pile installation on the reduction of cumulative plastic settlement of concrete track. A method combining experiential equation and numerical method is proposed. Using an existing experiential equation and the estimated earth pressure distribution, the cumulative plastic strain was calculated. From the results, it is verified that the effects of the pile installation is significant to effectively reduce the cumulative plastic settlement of concrete track. The reduction effects of the cumulative plastic settlement according to the pile number and pile arrangement are presented.

  • This study is a case study for in-house developed Record Maintenance and Management (RMMS) which is a digital data storage/retrieval system in a GIS-enabled solution. RMMS is designed for reorganizing submitted architectural drawings associated with scanned drawings files & geodatabase, managing metadata/table and geometric features in ArcSDE/Enterprise geodatabase format. The birth of the RMMS was borne out of a necessity for a modernized approach in digital file basis to provide improved customer services for various architectural drawings and associated with geo-spatial and its attribute information. Through a case study for building permit & review practice implemented on an internet-based Electronic Architectural administration Information System (EAIS) at the local governments in Korea, this study is able to derive differences between GIS-enabled RMMS system implemented in the Richmond City and internet-based EAIS system implemented in the local government in Korea. In an effort to be the most effective, it presents meaningful ways of maximizing efficiency in record maintenance & management system derived from the case studies that looked into in ways of a method in RMMS' operation, implementation on GIS platform, mutual interface among various programs with various digital files and finally technical supports and system development /upgrade.

  • In this paper, we propose an application model of RFID that needs not be worried about battery degradation problems and offers convenience of hand-carry. We design the RFID application model which can track medium distance target RFID Tag and detect the signal difference between multi-detectors in a room area using 900MHz frequency band. In the case of multi-ID Tag in one detector, we approach TDMA scheme.

  • Red sedimentation substance contains large portion of Fe. The earth retaining structure of a tunnel and ground water containing more portion of Fe than other area are the major factor of this substance In case of white sedimentation substance, the most frequently founded ingredient is CaO, which is occurred in case grouting injection materials for ground reinforcement is transmitted into a tunnel system by ground water. This substance is doesn't affect safety of a tunnel Black sedimentation substance is often found in tunnels near station. This substance is a mixture of either white or red sedimentation substance and detergent material in station transmitted to a tunnel drainage system.

  • Concrete micro-cracks that are grown while the structures are under construction or in service, propagate gradually or rapidly by external forces and environmental effects. As described above, almost concrete structures generally have cracks, so for the safety and durability of structures, studies to detect cracks using nondestructive tests have been treated in great deal. The purpose of this study is to evaluate characteristics of AE signals detected from notched concrete beams bending test with different loading using one of nondestructive test, Acoustic Emission (AE) method. Furthermore this study predicts the location of initial crack and measures direction of crack propagation for on-line monitoring before the crack really grows in structures by using two-dimensional AE source location based on rectangular method with three-point bending test. This will allow efficient maintenance of concrete structures through monitoring of internal cracking based on acoustic emission method.

  • The priority of repair areas are chosen with the probability distribution of 0.3mm wide crack and carbonation induced corrosion. Data is analyzed and evaluated based on the 28 section of Precise Inspection for Safety and Diagnosis (PISD) in seoul. As the crack is distributed in log-normal, the carbonation and cover are in normal distribution. To have rational in repair sections among 503 sheets of underground structure, it is adopted the reliability index as well as the environment factors: strength, sonic speed, $CO_2$ concentration, corrosion, and content of chloride.

Study on Seismic Performance of RC Column with Super-Flexibility Membrane (고연성재 보강 철근콘크리트 기둥의 내진성능 연구)

  • This study presents the evaluations of seismic performance and displacement ductility for two types of RC columns: existing RC column without SFM (Super Flexibility Membrane) and CSF (RC columns strengthened with SFM). After they are analyzed by the experiment as well as FEM, crack patterns and load-displacement curve of CSF by the former are shown to similar to those of CSF by the latter. The flexural cracks are dominant in CSF, whereas shear cracks in CNF (existing RC column without SFM). Displacement ductility of CSF is shown significantly to increase as well as ultimate displacement, compared to those of CNF. Therefore CSF can be replaced to CNF in order to increase the seismic performance and displacement ductility.

  • To investigae the effect of anchorage type of carbon fiber sheet (CFS) on flexural behavior of RC beams, the loading test of RC beams reinforced with CFS was conducted in variable of anchorage Type such as bolting anchorage and U type anchorage using CFS. This study can be summarized as follows ; It is confirmed experimentally that the bolting anchorage and U type anchorage with CFS is very effective to delay the bond failure and prevent the peeling of CFS. Also, the anchorage type applied with this study is very effective to improve the ductility compared with the improving of maximum flexural strength of RC beams. It is believed that the anchorage type used this study must secure the ductile capacity of above 3 for the flexural strengthening of RC beams. In the future, it is required to obtain the data about anchorage type of CFS for utilization of field work as well as investigate the ductile capacity of conventional study of anchorage type
