Dynamic Analysis of Wheel-Rail High Speed Train Propelled by Superconducting Linear Synchronous Motor (초전도 선형동기전동기 추진 휠-레일 고속열차의 동특성 분석)

  • This study examined the running dynamic characteristics of a hybrid type wheel-rail high speed train, in which the propulsion method of maglev is applied. A wheel-rail high speed train propelled by a superconducting linear synchronous motor (SC-LSM) is expected to be superior to a maglev train regarding economical and interoperable aspects, still having powerful thrust force as maglev. In this paper, regarding the two methods of applying the SC-LSM to an existing wheel-rail train, to investigate the influences of SC-LSM propulsion on the dynamic characteristics of wheel-rail high speed train, the dynamic model of train including interaction between the rotor and stator of SC-LSM is established. Through the simulation using the model, the influence of the interaction between the rotor and stator of SC-LSM on stability, ride comfort and the effect of guideway irregularity are investigated.

A study on Response Characteristics for the Reinforced Abutment for Railroads by Numerical Analyses (수치해석을 통한 철도보강교대의 응답 특성 연구)

  • This paper introduced the RAR(Reinforced Abutment for Railroads) to reduce settlement of transitional zone and horizontal displacement of abutment by constructing backfill before abutment. We expect that it has more economical and better performance which was validated by numerical analyses. First, transitional zone settlements and horizontal displacements of existing abutment were evaluated for various heights and ground conditions by using finite element analysis program. Then, numerical analyses of it under the same conditions were performed and its results were compared with existing abutment's ones. From the numerical analysis, we found that the responses(settlement and horizontal displacement) of transitional zone of the RAR is about 20% and 34% of one of existing abutment due to the effect of backfill stabilizing. We expected that the RAR having small foundations could be economic way to construct abutment with the control of responses such as, settlement, horizontal displacement, and earth pressure.

  • Rolling noises during train operation are caused by vibration excited from irregularities of surface roughness between wheel and rail. Therefore, a proper measurement and analysis techniques of acoustic roughness between wheel and rail surface are required for transmission, prediction, and analysis of the train rolling noise. However, since current measuring devices and methods use trolley-based manual handling devices, the measurements induce unstable measuring speed and vibrational interface that increases errors and disturbances. In this paper, a new automatic rail surface exploring platform with a speed controller has been developed for improving measurement accuracy and reducing inconsistency of measurements. In addition, we propose a data integration method of the rail surface roughness with multiple homogeneous displacement sensors and verified the accuracy of the integrated data through standard test-bed railway track investigation.

IFC Model Data Retrieval and Regeneration Method through Property Set-based Query Language (IFC 속성 데이터기반의 질의어 개발을 통한 모델 정보 검색 및 재생성 방안)

  • In this study, a query language was developed to supplement the information retrieval and model regeneration in the case of Industry Foundation Classes (IFC)-based civil infrastructure information models. First, the IFC objects to represent the structural components, entities to manage the related properties, and relationships to connect with the mentioned elements were analyzed in a point of information flow. The results confirmed that the end-users could have problems with access and comprehend the properties and its relationships in the IFC file. Second, the IfcPropertySet-focused query method and applicable stand-alone module were proposed referring to the previous Building Information Model Query Language (BimQL). The availabilities of the proposed method were examined using the rail and sleeper information models through information retrieval and model regeneration. The most important advantage of the proposed approach is the IFC-based information retrievals that can guarantee the interoperability between software packages.

A Study on the Baggage Allocation Method of Passenger-Baggage Hybrid Train (여객-화물 복합열차의 화물 배치방법에 관한 연구)

  • Three baggage allocation methods of passenger-baggage hybrid train in restricted railway transportation capacity including round conveyor system, vertical circulation system, and horizontal circulation system are presented. Loading/Unloading time is calculated based on the volume transported from Busan to Seoul via Daegu, Daejeon, and Osong with the parcel company P's logistics data. The horizontal circulation system shows less baggage volume capacity to be allocated and the maximum loading/unloading time with 434 secs. The vertical circulation system presents more loading time, but it shows best result with 408 secs. Loading/Unloading times are compared for each system and useful method is presented to improve transportation efficiency of the train.

A Guideline for Development of Track-Bridge Structural System with Sliding Layer to Reduce the Track-Bridge Interaction (궤도-교량 상호작용 저감을 위한 슬라이드 층이 고려된 궤도-교량 구조시스템의 개발 방향)

  • The bridges take a significant part of entire route in Korea railway, because 70% of Korean territory is covered with mountains. For this reason, span enlargement of railway bridges is more advantageous to increase economic efficiency on the bridge design. However there are many limitations such as additional axial force of the rail, excessive displacement due to track-bridge interaction. In this study, track-bridge interaction analysis was conducted considering the sliding layer which was installed between the track and girder. From the numerical analysis results, the behavior of track-bridge interaction was investigated according to the installation method of sliding layer. Finally, a guideline for development of track-bridge structure system to reduce the track-bridge interaction was proposed.

  • In this paper, for the purpose of improving the future domestic train control systems and securing interoperability according to the global development trends of train control systems, we present the test results of communication interfaces to verify the interoperability between CBTC wayside units tentatively installed in Bundang line that is one of the metropolitan area rail transit systems, and the CBTC onboard units developed through the national R/D project. The CBTC onboard equipment developed, has finished its installation and trial tests in the Bundang shunting yard. For the interoperability test, we should make an interface test with wayside equipment tentatively installed in Bundang line. Due to the safety-critical characteristics of train systems, the site test in the section where the wayside equipment is installed, leads to a danger against safety. Therefore, by way of constructing a simulation environment of train control systems, we confirm the T/R data systems of the equipment for interoperability and test the interoperability by applying these systems to developed CBTC onboard equipment.

  • 지난 백여 년 동안 인간은 과거의 그 어떤 선조들도 이루지 못한 지식과 기술의 발전을 통해 고도로 산업화된 사회를 이루었지만, 전 지구적으로 기후변화라는 부차적인 결과와 현실에 직면하고 있다. 이상기후 현상은 전지구 규모뿐만 아니라 일정한 소규모 지역에서도 관측되고 있으며, 국내에서는 특히 특정 지역에 국한되어 단시간에 발생하는 집중호우가 대표적인 사례이다. 현재까지 집중호우 발생 지역과 정도를 예측하기란 불가능한 상태이며, 산업화와 도시화가 진행될수록 그 피해는 더욱 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 집중호우에 대비한 도시 배수 시스템을 재점검할 필요가 있으며, 기존의 배수시설을 대체할 만큼 효율적인 배수구조물의 개발이 시급하다. 기존 도시지역의 측구형 수로관에는 마감불량, 정밀시공의 어려움, 이물질의 누적과 물고임, 노출로 인한 파손, 포장층 침투수 배수문제 등 많은 문제점들이 존재한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기존의 측구형 수로관의 단점을 보완하는 더욱 효율적인 집수정을 개발하고자 하였다. 집수정을 덮고 있는 포장층 상부면을 따라 흐르는 표면수를 처리할 뿐만 아니라, 포장층 내부로 스며드는 침투수를 처리 가능하도록 구조체 상부에 침투수 유입공을 설치하여, 표면수와 침투수를 동시에 고려하는 이중배수 시스템을 구성하였다. 본 연구에서 개발하는 집수정 구조체는 침투수에 의한 도로 및 구조체의 내구성 감소 및 겨울철 동파 현상을 방지할 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 단순공정, 시공성 향상, 유지비용절감 등 기존 배수 시스템과 비교해 많은 장점을 내포하고 있다. 본 연구에서 개발하는 이중배수 집수정의 효율 및 배수능력 평가를 위해서는 기존의 구조체와 차별되는 침투수 유입공에 대한 평가가 선행되어야 한다. 이를 위해서 침투수 유입공에 대한 실내 실험 장치를 구축하였으며, 반복 실험을 통해 침투수 유입공을 통한 배출 능력을 평가하고자 하였다. 또한 실험 결과를 바탕으로 구조체의 효능을 결정짓는 기준을 제시하고자 한다.

  • OECD 발표에 의하면 물산업 관련 인프라 투자 전망은 전세계 GDP 대비 2010~2020년 약 1.01%에서 2020~2030년 약 1.03%로 확대될 전망으로 다른 통신, 전력, 철도 인프라 투자수요보다 많을 것으로 전망하고 있다(파이넨셜 뉴스, 2013.3.21.). 우리나라는 2005년 베트남 홍강종합개발사업을 시작으로 2015년 기준으로 세계 35개국에 진출하고 있다. 그러나 대부분의 물 산업 진출 대상 국가는 미계측 유역이 많고 지상에서 계측된 수문 자료가 부족한 실정이다. Namgung and Lee(2014)에 의하면 네팔의 수력발전소 건설에 관측된 강우량 자료가 없어 발전소 하류 10km 지점의 유하량 자료를 이용하여 자료의 정확도 검증을 대신하여 적용한 바 있다. 이와 같이 계측자료가 없거나 부족한 지역에 대하여 기상 위성을 이용하여 추정된 강수량 자료가 해당 지역의 강수 특성을 파악하는데 중요한 자료로 이용될 수 있다. 글로벌 위성 기반의 강수량 관측에 대한 역사는 1979년에 IR방법에 의해 위성으로부터 강우자료를 유도하는 개념이 도입된 이후 1987년 다중 채널의 마이크로파(MW) 복사계를 이용한 방법, 이후 두 IR과 MW를 혼합한 방법에서, 1997년 TRMM위성의 PR(Precpipitation Radar)의 레이더를 이용하는 방법, 그리고 2014년 GPM 핵심 위성(GPM Core Observatory)에 탑재된 Dual PR에 의한 방법으로 위성강수의 정확도를 매우 높여가고 있다. 본 연구는 대표적인 위성강수인 IMERG(Integrated MultisatellitE Retrievals for GPM)의 활용성을 높이기 위해 QGIS 기반의 위성강수 전처리 모듈을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 하고 있다. 위성강수를 활용하기 위해서는 위성강수의 정확도 평가가 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구를 통해 2017년 7월 중부지방 및 충청도 지방에 내린 강수자료를 비교한 결과 상관계수가 약 0.7정도로 상관성이 높은 것으로 분석되었고, 2018년 8월 9호 태풍 솔릭(Solik)에 대한 1시간의 시간해상도 분석 결과 상관계수 0.624로 위성강수의 활용성이 있음을 입증하였다. IMERG 위성강수의 활용성을 높이기 위하여 HDF5 포맷의 원시자료를 활용이 용이한 Tiff 로 변환하는 기능에서부터 특정범위 및 특정지점 추출 기능, Resampling 기능 등을 포함하는 전처리 모듈을 개발하였다.

Assessment of National and Regional Plans Using Integrated Management Index of Korea National Planning and Environmental Planning for Present Status Evaluation (국토계획과 환경계획 통합관리 지표의 적용을 통한 통합관리 현황 평가)

  • Integrated management of Korea national and environmental planing for sustainable development is suggested, and basic research is needed. In this study, national and regional plans were assessed using 'integrated management index of Korea national planning and environmental planning' to grasp the current status of integrated management on Korea national planning and environmental planning. As a result of the assessment, it was found that both national and regional plans need to improve considering the natural ecology part and water resource and quality part. In addition, it was derived that the detailed contents of the indicator can not be reflected according to the characteristics in the higher-level plan. Therefore, it has been found necessary to include proclamatory contents so as to be able to establish a detailed plan that reflects environmental goals in the lower-level plan.
