Vegetation Structural Restoration Model for Naturalness of Robinia pseudo-acacia Forest in the Case of Korean National Capital Region (수도권 지역 아까시나무림의 식생구조의 자연성 복원 모델)

  • 본 연구는 수도권 지역의 아까시나무림을 중심으로 식물군집의 식생구조적 특성을 분석함으로써 향후, 도시녹지의 자연성 복원을 위한 기초 자료로 제시하고자 하였다. 조사지역은 서울도심지역으로 중구 남산과 서대문구 안산, 서울외곽지역으로 은평구 봉산과 부천시, 성주산, 비도시지역으로 경기도 천마산을 선정하였다. 주요 연구분야는 생태적 특성과 복원모델로 구분하였가. 생태적 특성평가는 천이단계, 자연성 및 다층적 식생구조와 종다양성을 실시하였으며, 복원모델은 적정수종, 개체수, 흉고단면적, 수목간 최단거리를 선정하였다. 조사결과, 복원모델은 비도시지역 중 자연성이 높으며 다층구조를 이루고 있는 자생식물군집을 선정하였으며 적정식물은 교목성장 3종, 아교목성정 7종, 관목성장 16종, 주연부 수종 4종 초본식물 27종이 적절한 것으로 판단되었다. 향후, 아끼시나무림읜 자연성 복원을 위해서 자연림인 참나무류로의 천이를 유도할 수 있도록 자생종 중심의 생태적 복원방안의 모색이 이루어져할 것이다.

  • It has been reported that neural network with cyclic connections generates limit cycles. The dynamics of discrete time network with cyclic connections has been analyzed. But the dynamics of cyclic network in continuous time has not been known well due to its huge calculation complexity. In this paper, we study the dynamics of the continuous time network with cyclic connections and the effect of chaotic signal in the network for transitions between limit cycles.

  • The performance characteristics of a TBCC engine considering the transition mode from a turbojet to a ramjet engine has been investigated. The performance of each engine was proposed and a transition mode of the TBCC engine has been evaluated by adjusting the operating rate of the ramjet engine and turbojet engine performance changes continuously. Based on the transition model, it was confirmed that the performance is continuously changed at various flight Mach numbers and altitudes. The performance characteristics including thrust and specific impulse considering various flight conditions and transition mode were analyzed, which testifies characteristics of the engine itself, as well as transition of the combined cycle.

Transient Heat Transfer and Structural Analyses for the Turbopump Turbine of a Liquid Rocket Engine (액체 로켓 터보 펌프 터빈의 천이 열전달 및 구조 해석)

  • Thermal and structural finite element analyses were performed for the turbopump turbine bladed disk model with shroud of a liquid rocket engine. The only 1/80 part model was analyzed which consists of 3D eight node isoparametric solid elements. The applied loading history consists of a startup condition with a thermal spike and a steady state. Heat transfer coefficient on the blade was predicted using the commercial Navier-Stokes solver, Fluent. Transient thermal responses during startup and steady states were calculated using a 3D finite element code developed. Maximum stress and shroud tip displacement under the influence of centrifugal and thermal loading were also determined.

  • 본 연구에서는 개방형 로켓엔진시스템의 제어시스템을 구성하기 위한 선행연구로서, 시동특성을 예측하기위해 Simulink 모델을 구성하였다. 구성품별 동특성 모델을 바탕으로 로켓엔진시스템의 예측 프로그램을 구성하였으며, 대상으로 하는 시스템의 천이 작동상태에서의 동특성 변화의 예측과 더불어 그 모델링의 타당성 검증을 위하여 실제 개방형 로켓엔진 상사모델의 수류실험을 통해 실험적으로 측정하여 비교하였다. 또한 Simulink모델이 제어시스템을 구성하기위해 적합한지를 판단하기위해 기 수행된 천이 동특성 예측 프로그램의 결과와 비교하였고 검증하였다.

Implementation of Roughness-Induced Turbulent Transition Model on Inflight Icing Code (표면 조도를 고려한 난류 천이 모델의 항공기 결빙 해석자에 대한 적용 연구)

  • In this study, the effect of surface roughness distribution and its influence on the inflight icing code was investigated. Previous numerical studies focused on the magnitude of surface roughness, and the effects were only addressed in terms of changes in thermal boundary layers with fully turbulent assumption. In addition, the empirical formula was used to take account the turbulent transition due to surface roughness, which was regarded as reducing the accuracy of ice shape prediction. Therefore, in this study, the turbulent transition model based on the two-equation turbulence model was applied to consider the effects of surface roughness. In order to consider the effect of surface roughness, the transport equation for roughness amplification parameter was applied, and the surface roughness distribution model was implemented to consider the physical properties. For validation, the surface roughness, convective heat transfer coefficient, and ice shape were compared with experimental results and other numerical methodology. As a result, it was confirmed that the excessive prediction of the heat transfer coefficient at the leading edge and the ice horn shape at the bottom of the airfoil were improved accordingly.

  • We provided a model for accurately computing the Hysteresis characteristics of the ferrelectric thin film capacitors. This model is developed form the semi-empirical ferroelectric model based on the double well harmonic oscillator. We have seen that this model is consistent with physical analysis using the Preisach's hysteresis distribution. This model includes the parameters representing the slope of changing Hysteresis curves and the imprint of ferroelectric capacitors. Besides, we showed that this model could predict accurate sub-hystersis loop by the turning points when the polarities of applied voltage were changed before saturation. The simulation and measurement result showed that this model is well applicable to both PZT and SBT materials. This model has been described by AHDL and successfully implemented into Spectre simulator to provide circuit design environment of commercial CAD tools such as Cadence software.

Korean Word Recognition using the Transition Matrix of VQ-Code and DHMM (VQ코드의 천이 행렬과 이산 HMM을 이용한 한국어 단어인식)

  • In this paper, we propose methods for improving the performance of word recognition system. The ray stratey of the first method is to apply the inertia to the feature vector sequences of speech signal to stabilize the transitions between VQ cdoes. The second method is generating the new observation probabilities using the transition matrix of VQ codes as weights at the observation probability of the output symbol, so as to take into account the time relation between neighboring frames in DHMM. By applying the inertia to the feature vector sequences, we can reduce the overlapping of probability distribution of the response paths for each word and stabilize state transitions in the HMM. By using the transition matrix of VQ codes as weights in conventional DHMM. we can divide the probability distribution of feature vectors more and more, and restrict the feature distribution to a suitable region so that the performance of recognition system can improve. To evaluate the performance of the proposed methods, we carried out experiments for 50 DDD area names. As a result, the proposed methods improved the recognition rate by $4.2\%$ in the speaker-dependent test and $12.45\%$ in the speaker-independent test, respectively, compared with the conventional DHMM.

  • 최근에 녹색 IT의 일환으로 IT 장비에서 소비하는 에너지 크기를 감소시킴으로써 발생하는 탄소발생률을 줄이고, 장비 운용 비용을 낮추는 연구가 각광을 받고 있다. 그에 따라 본 논문에서는 차세대 통신망의 강력한 후보로 예상되는 광 버스트 스위칭 망에서 에너지 절감 기법 중 하나인 저 전력대기 방식을 사용할 때 발생하는 에너지 소비량에 대한 수식 모델을 제안한다. 제안된 수식 모델에서는 입력되는 트래픽 패턴을 고려하여 가져갈 수 있는 상태천이확률을 구하고 이에 따른 에너지 소비량을 예측해 볼 수 있다.

  • An intuitive understanding of the dynamic pattern generation in asymmetric networks may be considered an essential component in developing models for the dynamic information processing. It has been reported that the neural network with cyclic connections generates multiple limit cycles. The dynamics of discrete time network with cyclic connections has been investigated intensively. However, the dynamics of a cyclic connection neural network in continuous-time has not been well-known due to the considerable complexity involved in its calculation. In this paper, the dynamic behavior of a continuous-time cyclic connection neural network, in which each neuron is connected only to its nearest neurons with binary synaptic weights of ${\pm}1$, has been investigated. Furthermore, the dynamics and stability of the network have been analyzed using a piece-wise linear approximation.
